Blanche Spain
Blanche Thomas Spain was a prominent benefactor of Christian Brothers University. In 1992, she donated in the name of her late husband and CBU trustee Douglass Thomas, contributing to the construction of Buckman Hall. Spain Auditorium was named in her honor, and she also became a CBU trustee
