parents Olimpio and Justina Barte. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Amapola (ne Yadao), daughter, Sharon 
(Donald) Bray, sons, Steven (Michelle), Stafford (Dishongh), Stuart (Annabelle), grandsons; Zachary, Lucas, Shaun, 
Matthew, Don Jared, granddaughter, Hayley, and sister Eugenia Castillo. He was a devoted and dedicated member of 
Wahiawa Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Frank graduated from Waipahu High School and attended University of 
Hawaii. He retired from the United States Air Force after serving 20 years, worked at Singer Sewing Machine Company 
as a sales & repairman, Tripler Hospital Radiology Department and Pearl Harbor Naval Supply Center. November 3rd,

H. Gregory "Gregg" Nasky, 75. Born June 9, 1942. Died September 16, 2017 with his loving wife of fifty years, Rosanne 
by his side. He died in Honolulu, Hawaii where he and Rosanne resided since 2003. Gregg was an Attorney. He served in 
the United States Army Judge Advocate General's Corp. as a Captain from 1968 until 1972 and was awarded the Bronze 
Star for his service in Vietnam from 1969 to 1970. Gregg was admitted to practice law in the states of Pennsylvania, 
Nevada and Hawaii. He served as an executive Officer from 1993 and as a Director from 1984 until 1998 at Showboat, 
Inc. and several of it's subsidiaries, and as a Founder and the first Managing Director in 1995 of Sydney Harbour Casino 
Holdings, Limited, an Australian Stock Exchange Company. He is survived by his wife, two sisters, a brother, nieces and 
nephews Gregg was a kind and dignified man, well liked and respected by those who knew him. He will be sorely 
missed. A Private Service and inurnment with Military Honors will take place. In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations can 
be made to your local Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America.

School, earned a BS in Civil Engineering at University of Hawaii-Manoa, and served in the US Army as a Lieutenant. He 
also served as the Vice President of Belt Collins Engineering. He was a man of the highest degree of integrity and was 
honorably discharged in 1965 as a second lieutenant in the United States Army. Paul was a superb father who was 
dedicated to his spouse, children, extended family, and friends. He contributed much of his personal time to coaching 
little league baseball spanning over 40 years in Manoa Valley. His love for his family and leadership by example are a 
testament to the man he was. Those who had the honor of knowing him learned to love and respect their families by 
following the way he lived his life.He is survived by his wife, Theresa (Terry) Wallrabenstein; sons, Paul Wallrabenstein 
III (Lisa) and William Wallrabenstein (Renee); daughter, LiAnn Choy (Milton); foster children, Toni Amaranto and Eric 
Tanaka; sister, MaryElda Burlison; nieces, Trisha and Kathy Burlison; grandchildren, Paul IV and Tyra Wallrabenstein, 
Jarret, Brett, Lacie, and Kash Choy, Christina and Alyssa Johnston, Robert and Christina Amaranto and great-grand 
children.A special thank you to our friends at Hale Nohea, Islands Hospice, and the staff at Straub Hospital.Goodbye to

SUNRISE: December 11, 1965 SUNSET: October 2, 2017 Born in Waialua, Hawaii. At the Waialua Plantation Hospital. He 
is the second son of Dionicio Miguel Baptista and Viola Bigornia Baptista. Noel grew up and was raised in Waialua 
where he went to Waialua Elementary School. The family moved to Pearl City and he went to Manana Elementary 
School, Pearl City Highlands, and then to Pearl City High School. He worked as a newspaper boy during 1978-1981. 
After graduation from high school he worked as a gas station attendant at Waimalu Chevron. He then went to work at 
Au's Plumbing. He enrolled at Leeward Community College and HCC where he studied drafting and graphic arts. Noel 
then decided to join the Sheet Metal Union, where he landed a job at Master Sheet Metal where he worked for 27 
years and became a journeyman with the Local Union 293 until He passed away to be with the Lord. Noel was such a 
good person to be with, loving, generous, and friendly. He was always trying to make people around him laugh by 
telling humorous stories and jokes. He also loved to cook and socialize. He loved cars, going to the swap meet to look 
for deals, and most of all his family and friends. He is survived by his mother Viola, brother Diovi, and his auntie Velma. 
He is also survived by his aunties, uncles, and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, and relatives. Visitation for the 
Celebration of Noel's life will be at Mililani Memorial Park Mauka Chapel on Friday, December 15, 2017. Wake Service 
will start at 5:30 pm and ends at 9:00 pm. On December 16, 2017, the final viewing will start at 9:30 am until 11:00 am. 
Funeral Service will be 11:00 am until 12:00pm. Burial will be followed at 12:30 pm.

grandmother. Jarin was born on March 13, 1997 and was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect hours after birth. In 
his lifetime, he endured several open heart surgeries that left him severely challenged, both physically and mentally. 
Through it all, Jarin rarely complained and was loved by everyone he met. Jarin is survived by his parents, Jay and 
Naomi Fujii and his paternal grandmother, Judy Fujii. Celebration of Jarin's Life to be held on Friday, November 10,

A nurse and homemaker, died October 10, 2017 at Arcadia Retirement Residence. She was 97. Born January 20, 1920 
in Ola'a, Hawai'i to parents Taichi Takaue and Haru Morimitsu Takaue, she attended Hilo High School before moving to 
O'ahu, where she graduated from The Queen's Hospital School of Nursing. While working at Queen's, she met a young 
eligible physician, Takeo "Toots" Fujii. Despite his wish for her to stay in Honolulu, she could not pass on the 
opportunity to pursue postgraduate work at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. However, in the end, 
Toots's persistent letter writing convinced her to abandon her studies to be with him. Returning to Honolulu, she 
married Toots, assisted him in his growing private practice, and began raising a family in Manoa. Family and friends 
remember Tamae for her active life, including making ceramics, traveling, line and ballroom dancing, swimming, 
cooking, and baking. She was known for her Spam musubi, custard and lilikoi chiffon pies, Toots's favorites. She was a 
member of Kuakini Auxiliary and Central Union Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, 
Takeo Fujii, a sister, Hisako Hirai, and a brother, Yuji Takaue. She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Chun (Richard) 
and Muriel Fujii, and a son Gregg Fujii (Tracey). She is also survived by three grandchildren, Emily and Erin Chun, and 
Thomas Amano, as well as two nieces, Gene Uno and Carol Paik. Private services were held. Arrangements Provided

ROBERT LEWIS FISHER Robert Lewis Fisher 1947 - 2017 passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the Queen's 
Medical Center in Honolulu after a long illness. Robert was born in Davenport, Iowa, son of Max and Mildred Fisher. 
Robert grew up in Miami, Florida where he graduated high school from Bolles Military Academy, graduated from the 
University of Florida where he played football and earn a Bachelor of Science in Advertising. He later attended and 
graduated from Carnegie School of Business. The first few years after college he was working for American Express in 
sales in New York. He then joined the Braman Automotive organization which began his extensive career in the 
Automotive Business. He then worked for JM Family Enterprises (JM&A Group), Deerfield Beach, Florida for 22 years, 
where he was a star, helping the company expand from a regional southeast company to a nationwide company. He 
became the Western Zone Vice President before retiring in 2009. Robert loved working for the JM&A Group. It made 
possible for many wonderful trips over the years when he and his wife Anne hosted Automotive Dealers all over 
Europe and the Caribbean. Robert was very much loved and respected. He will be remembered for his hard work, 
amazing talent, creativity and very special humor. Robert and his wife Anne have lived in Hawaii, a place they have 
always loved, and have had homes there for the past 17 years. He is survived by his loving wife Anne A. Fisher, his sons, 
Scott Alan Fisher and his wife Michelle, Christopher Bryan Fisher and his wife Amy, his stepsons, Charles Robert Kilgore 
Jr., Wolford Hunter Kilgore and his wife Arleen, 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. There will not be a memorial 
service. Robert has willed his body to the John A. Burns School of Medicine, University of Hawaii. Donations may be 
made in his name to the Hawaiian Humane Society. Aloha Robert.

Beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, friend, teacher, artist, East Honolulu Clothing Co. partner, 
graphic designer, photographer, Kaimana beach crew organizer, golfer, softball player, retired Kaiser teacher and UH 
fan, passed away on November 17, 2017, surrounded by his loving wife Andrea; mother Ella; mother-in-law Inge; 
sisters Iris & Christine; brothers Clayton & Richard, and many other loved ones. Maurice (also known to many as Mo) 
was born and raised on the Big Island in Wainaku where he attended Hilo Union Elementary, Hilo Intermediate and Hilo 
High School (Class of 65). He attended UH Hilo and went on to graduate from UH at Manoa with a bachelors and 
masters degree in fine arts along with teaching credentials. He began his teaching career at Kalakaua Intermediate and 
spent over 30 years at Kaiser High School as an art and photography teacher and even returned as a substitute in his 
retirement. Mo loved sports, especially UH sports. He was the ultimate UH football, basketball, and baseball fan. He 
held football season tickets since the opening of Aloha Stadium. If the Bows were in town, he'd be tailgating and sitting 
through every football game until the final second even if it was a blowout. He was also a proud supporter of UH 
baseball since the Sheridan days and held season tickets to the basketball games. Mo played softball for many years at 
Koko Head park and you would find him on the golf course every Saturday and Sunday, walking 18 holes usually at 
Moanalua Golf Course in the early morning. Although Mo enjoyed being a bachelor for 40 yers (during which he 
founded the "Kaimana Beach Country Club"), his life changed when he met Andrea. Andrea made Mo's life complete. 
Together they ran East Honolulu Clothing Company in Waimanalo, attended many craft fairs and traveled around the 
world. Andrea was Mo's best friend and Mo, Andrea's. They never left each other without a hug and a kiss. Mo was 
also an avid gardener, like his mother, Ella. Family, friends, colleagues, patrons and strangers enjoyed his bounty of 
aloha that included tangerines, bay leaves, mint, and jokes. He was all about bringing people together and sharing. A 
celebration of Maurice's life will be held on January 2nd, 2018, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. 4:30 p.m. visitation; service

As much as we wanted to keep her here... He wanted her more...On November 25, 2017, Karen, prematurely passed 
away at the young age of 71. She was born on June 16, 1946 in Honoka'a and grew up in Kaneohe. Started her own 
family in the South Bay Area of California, where she lived for over 20 years. Returned home in 1989 to join her father 
in the insurance industry. Karen dedicated the last 28 years of her life working alongside her father through Ken 
Nakamura & Associates. Her genuine love for people, built life-long relationships with many. This spirit will carry on 
through her only daughter Karie (Ronnie) Paguio and the joy of her life, her only granddaughter, Remie, whom she was 
most proud of. She is also survived by mother, Tomie Nakamura; sister, Lynn Franklin and brother, Lloyd (Patti) 
Nakamura. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Mililani Mortuary (Mauka Chapel). 
Visitation 5:30pm, services 6:30pm. Karen's kind heart and youthful spirit will truly be missed by all of those she 
touched.

VERNON ROBERT CHANG, UNCLE VERN Vernon passed away, surrounded by family, on December 05, 2017 at the age 
of 84. Born on June 19, 1933 in Honolulu, Hawaii, the eldest of four children to Robert and Louise Chang of Pearl City, 
Hawaii. After graduating from Mid-Pacific High School ('51), he joined the US Air Force rising to the rank of Chief 
Master Sergeant. Living in San Jose for 44 years, he touched many lives within the community. Vern formed a Hawaiian 
band called `Eono Kane, played at birthday parties, weddings, funerals, sporting events, festivals, and luau's. He was a 
DJ for KPFA and KKUP, non-profit radio stations where he played Hawaiian music, and promoted various talents and 
events throughout the Bay Area. Vernon is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Elizabeth ("Aunty Betty"), 
and younger brother Alvin ("Uncle Al") Chang. Survived by two sisters Robertha Omori (Walter) and Sylvia Murakami 
(Joe Young), son Roderick (Margaret) Chang, daughters Rochelle Ledwith (the late, Steven), and Renee Moreno 
(Adrian), grandchildren Rowan and Rebekah Ledwith, Cassandra Wong (Ryan) and Stuart Chang, Ariana Moreno, great-
grandson Wes Wong, and loyal companion Leinani. On Monday, January 8, 2018 Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. at 
Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary - East Chapel, Service at 10:00 a.m. and a Committal Service will be held at 1:00 
p.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl) with U.S. Air Force military honors. Arrangements

George Brian Drummond died peacefully at his daughter's home in Kailua-Kona on December 5, 2017, at age 91, 
leaving behind a rich legacy that will long be cherished by family, friends, and all who knew him. He was a kind and 
loving father, grandfather, joke-teller and song-singer, advertising sales executive, British Army paratrooper, classical 
music lover, avid reader, world traveler, football (soccer) devotee and so much more. Born September 18, 1926, in 
Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Brian forever maintained a deep love for his country and heritage. In 1960, opportunity 
oversea lured him to Hawaii, where he led a successful 30-year career in newspaper advertising sales for the Honolulu 
Star-Bulletin. His kind heart, ready smile, youthful spirit and perfectly timed jokes will be remembered and missed. 
Brian is survived by his daughter, Michele "Buki" (Brian); 6 grand- children and 1 great grandchild. He was predeceased 
by his son, David. Brian's life will be celebrated in Honolulu with family and friends, in the only way deserving of his 
memory; afternoon high tea.

December 5, 2016. He was born on May 31, 1949, to Rez Patterson & Faydene Overman, both of whom have preceded 
him to Heaven. He grew up in his beloved community of Pleasant Hill, and later resided in Burlington, NC before living 
out his dream by relocating to Waikiki Beach in the early 90's. As founder of Aloha Hawaiian Vacations, he was a 
pioneer of the Hawaii travel industry, creating and designing "all-inclusive Hawaii packages", of which he always gave 
the credit and glory to God. His true passion was his family, and he is survived by his wife Deborah, daughter Haven 
and son-in-law Andrew Bollinger, son Joseph Overman and daughter-in-law Jade, grand- children Avaliyah, Zavien, Zyan 
and Angelina and sisters Darlene Gerringer and Barbara Coble. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on January 21, 
at 10:30am at Waikiki Baptist Church, 424 Kuamoo St, Honolulu. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only
