No full textWhen UDC was created, the Van Ness Campus was to house the Colleges of Physical Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Life Sciences, and Educations and Human Ecology. The College of Liberal and Fine Arts and the College of Business and Public management were to be located at the Mount Vernon Square Campus (the site of the former Federal City College) UDC had developed plans for a Mount Vernon Square campus building project, which would include restoration of the old Central DC Library (8th and K Streets, NW), along with construction of facilities several UDC colleges. In the early part of UDC's history, the College of Education and Human Ecology were housed for the most part at the Georgia Avenue (former MTC site) or Harvard Street (former WTC site)

This ceremony includes perfomances from the Wildcats Band and chorale choir, student and faculty remarks, and the Presentation of Colors. At 00:10:15, President Bronson provides the opening statement and honors Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune. At 00:22:57, Dr. Cleo S. Higgins, Vice President for Academic Affairs/Dean of Faculty, delivers words of commemoration. At 00:39:42, Mr. James E. Whitford, Daytona Beach Postmaster, presents the 22-cent Mary McLeod Bethune Commemorative Stamp. This ceremony concludes with a recital of the litany of remembrance, led by Dr. Rogers P. No full textThis video features footage from the 27th Annual Garnett-Nabrit Lecture (GNL) series, which focuses on the theme of conflict. This video shows the first day of a multi-day GNL series. At 00:18:20, Dr. Theodore Judson Jemison, (T. J. Jemison), president of the National Baptist Convention from 1982 to 1994, preaches about the conflict in Christian religion, his pastoral experiences, and recognizing the “greater works” of Christ. At 01:12:40, pastor and civil rights activist Rev. Dr. Gardner C. Taylor is presented with a Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Achievement plaque and reflects on his friendship with Dr. James Madison Nabrit. Dr. Taylor then gives a lecture on conflict, in which he addresses differences between lectures and sermons, life and death, and internal and external conflicts. At 02:00:00, participants break into two forum sessions: Dynamics of Conflict and Biblical Approaches to Conflict.
