our local alumnae! In this season's 
Metro we continue to organize our 
event listing not only by date but 
by type of event. Whether you 
love art, books, speakers or purely 
social gatherings, you can find the 
event that interests you most. Please use the tear-off "Event 
Summary" panel as a reminder about upcoming events from 
now until January 2011. 
There are several events planned featuring great books such 
as Year of Wonder, Outcasts United, Hotel 011 the Corner of Bitter 
and Sweet and A Soft Place to Land. Also, for those of you who 
are Jane Austen fans, you will not want to miss Professor 
Christine Cozzens discussing Persuasion on Jan. 13.

This year we're also launching Agnes Scott Voices, a program 
whose mission is to remember, record and reflect on the 
stories of Agnes Scott and the people who have lived, 
worked and learned here. To learn more about the 
program or how to conduct an oral history interview, 
please join us at the Anna I. Young Alumnae House on 
Tuesday, Oct. 26. 
We are hosting our second annual alumnae and student 
tennis round robin. If you play ALTA or USTA, I hope 
you will join me and play with our Agnes Scott tennis 
team. Last year's team made it to the NCAA Division Ill 
Championships for the second time in school history. 
I look forward to seeing you at an event (or two) 
this fall.

oral history interviews. She will also provide information about 
Agnes Scott Voices, a new oral history program being launched this 
fall. This event includes a demonstration interview and time to 
practice your new skills with students and fellow alumnae.
