One color negative of Cuyahoga Valley Canal Days' Ohio Canal signpost No. 24 State Locks 9-14 on the Ohio and Erie Canal in Akron in Summit County, Ohio. The sign states: ""Stair Locks 9-14. Locks raised boats up over 100 feet to summit of Akron. Schumacher Mill 'Quaker Oats' was left of canal. The Summit County Historical Society and Ohio Canal Sesquincentennial Comm."" The text states, ""Weigh lock was here. Railroad track bed was canal. Boat entered lock and water was drained off. Boat settled on scale platform, weighed, charged toll. Water was let into lock."
