Sun Dial, St. John's Church. Barbados.
Landscape; Black & white; 3 ½” x 5 ½”Overlooking the picturesque eastern coastline of Barbados is the sundial mounted on a pedestal in the churchyard at the St. John’s Church. This historical feature reflects the colonial past and heritage of the island. It served as an early timepiece. It’s crafted from stone and marked with Roman numerals using the position of the sun’s shadow to indicate the time of the day. This is a divided back postcard. Back of the postcard A08 £4-. The Crane Hotel
Landscape; Black & white; 3 ½” x 5 ½”A beach scene with seaweed and vegetation on the sand on the sand. In the background on the top of huge rocks is the Crane Hotel. There are two small wooden huts on the beach, one is partially hidden by the vegetation, the other nestled between the rocks below the hotel. A few coconut trees are visible in the picture.

There’s a sign on a nearby pole – W.I. Johnson & Co. Best groceries. Partial views of the fences from surrounding residences are visible.

Caribbean Curriculum 40th Anniversary
Caribbean Curriculum is an annual peer-reviewed journal of the School of Education, The University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago. It begun publication in May 1985. Since its first publication, ‘Caribbean Curriculum’ has been a platform for scholars to share insights that shape education in the Caribbean. The scholarly articles on the education systems of the English-speaking Caribbean are written by scholars both within and outside the region. The journal is celebrating 40 years of advancing research on education in the region. On June 11, 2025 the 40th anniversary of the journal was celebrated. This is the video recording of the event
Avenue of Palm Trees, Belleville, Barbados.

Public Buildings and Chamberlain Bridge, Bridgetown, Barbados.
Landscape, sephia tone, “3 ½” x 5½ ”This is a view of Parliament Building and other public buildings from the Careenage and Swing Bridge. Pedestrians walk on the Chamberlain Bridge also known as the Swing Bridge. Workers with sugar cane loaded wagons wait dockside, whilst others are getting drums ready for shipment. The Clock Tower is in the background.

Beckwith Square, Bridgetown, Barbados.
Landscape, Sephia tone, 3 ½” x 5½ ”A large tree takes prominence in the middle of the square. It is a street scene with several persons engaged in various types of activity; one female vendor carrying her goods on a tray atop her head. Some commercial buildings are visible, such as Cooper's Photo Studio and The Mutual Building which is visible just beyond the big tree. Horse drawn carts line both sides of the street.
On the front of the postcard is a Barbados, One Penny Stamp.
