Od intimizma do reizma. Spremembe literarnega subjekta
The monograph ('From Intimism to Reism: Changes in the Literary Subject') offers new insights into key turning points in Slovenian literature after World War II. Editor Marko Juvan and the contributing authors show how, in just two decades, the literary subject changed from an “intimistic” individual expressing his emotional inner life and humanist sensibility in poetry to “reism,” an esthetic current in which the subject dissolves into things, language, and the play of signifiers. The book examines the work of Ivan Minatti, Ada Škerl, Rudi Šeligo, Saša Vegri, and others, illuminating how intimist and modernist poetry dealt with political constraints, social changes, and international trends. The monograph also touches on questions of ideology, philosophy, and the methodology of literary history. It thus opens up a space for broader cultural reflection. The work is a vital addition to our knowledge of Slovenian literature in the second half of the 20th century and its place in the world literary system. Knjiga osvetli opus Ivana Minattija, Ade Škerl, Rudija Šeliga, Saše Vegri in drugih, ter pokaže, kako so intimistične in modernistične poetike vstopale v dialog s političnimi pritiski, družbenimi spremembami in mednarodnimi tokovi.
Historična topografija Kranjske (do 1500). Tretja dopolnjena izdaja
The first volume in the new series of historical-topographical handbooks covers the territory of the Duchy of Carniola up to the year 1500. It includes 4,152 Carniolan toponyms—villages, hamlets, market towns, cities, castles, manors, field and water names, and others—along with their historical variants as attested in sources up to 1500 (such as charters, urbaria, feudal, accounting, notarial, and cartulary records). The entries are arranged alphabetically, and each historical form of a name is accompanied by the date of its attestation, a reference to the source in which it appears, the location of the source (archive, library, etc.), and, when applicable, its publication reference. The corpus as a whole contains over 39,221 historical variants of Carniolan geographical names (paleonyms).
The work is based on 123 documented charter collections from 62 archives and over 370 codices and manuscripts from Slovenian, Austrian, Italian, Croatian, Hungarian, German, and Czech archives and libraries.
Together with an accompanying online application linked to a digital map (http://topografija.zrc-sazu.si/), the handbook will be of great interest not only to specialists in various disciplines (historians, geographers, archaeologists, ethnologists, linguists, etc.) but also to local historians and history enthusiasts.V prvi knjigi iz serije historično-topografskih priročnikov je obravnavano ozemlje dežele Kranjske do leta 1500.
The book explores how more integrated approaches can enhance existing planning practices and lead to more effective spatial and regional development. In the first part, the authors present methodologies for monitoring and evaluating regional policy, the results of development measures in the Koroška region, systems thinking and key principles for comprehensive regional development, the role of the Slovenian Regional Development Fund, and the identification of problem areas in Slovenia. The second part focuses on the preparation of the first generation of regional spatial plans, the importance of landscape concepts in spatial planning, green infrastructure networks at the regional level, and functional urban areas as a tool for monitoring the implementation of the Spatial Development Strategy of Slovenia. The book concludes with contributions on the Bohinj railway and macro-waste along rivers after the 2023 floods. The authors emphasize that sectoral approaches are insufficient to address today’s complex development challenges. Decision-makers must therefore strengthen cross-sectoral cooperation and support integrated planning approaches. The simultaneous preparation of different documents at the regional level offers an excellent opportunity to do so.Knjiga obravnava, kako lahko celovitejši pristopi izboljšajo obstoječe načrtovanje ter prispevajo k učinkovitejšemu prostorskemu in regionalnemu razvoju.
Dansende kulturarv. Samskapte praksishendelser
Over the course of the project Dance as ICH: New models of facilitating participatory dance events (Dance–ICH), we have journeyed across Europe — from Norway and Belgium to Slovenia, Romania, Hungary, Greece, — engaging with a rich diversity of dance traditions, communities, and practices. This initiative has not only brought together cultural heritage institutions, researchers, and artists, but most importantly, it has fostered deep collaborations with communities, inviting them to become co-creators in the safeguarding process.
In this toolbox we discuss and draws six different paintings of why and how museums and cultural heritage institutions should play a part in future sustainable structures for safeguarding dance as living heritage.
This sustainable structure called events of practice exhibition should therefore encompass more than the events themselves. Firstly, these events should be recurrent and embedded in a permanent space. Secondly, they should entail a facilitator in the role of a supporter, in line with the principles for adaptive management to ensure long-term viability, and recognition of value. A cultural institution and its living heritage facilitators can help the dance community by promoting and incorporating their practices into an organizational system, without interfering with the execution of the intangible heritage practices itself. For future and continuing research, it will be obviously important to research these methods over time, in different contexts, and to question the distribution of roles in co-creative processes and the sustainable structures when it comes to funding and resources.

Znamčenje območij kot pristop k razvoju podeželja v Sloveniji
In business, branding is used to shape perceptions of products or services. Since branding can also influence stakeholders’ views of geographical areas and their elements, it has become a key component of territorial development programs. In Slovenia, place branding has been applied to rural development for over two decades, yet its implementation and outcomes remain insufficiently studied. Slovenian rural areas thus offer a valuable “geographical laboratory” for exploring these processes.
This research treats place branding as a spatial phenomenon, examining its interplay with geographical areas. The study focuses on the spatial patterns and regional characteristics of place branding in Slovenian rural areas, analyzing causes and effects. A combination of qualitative and quantitative methods is employed: literature review, online survey, semi-structured interviews, stakeholder discussions, qualitative data analysis with Atlas.ti, and infographic techniques.
Findings reveal that place-branding processes are shaped by the socioeconomic, structural, and organizational characteristics of rural areas. The study highlights deviations from theoretical frameworks: place branding in Slovenia often exacerbates regional disparities instead of fostering balanced development. Implementation tends to be sectoral rather than holistic, with fragmented and poorly coordinated measures. Limited stakeholder motivation for cooperation further reinforces a top-down decision-making approach.
This volume features six double-choir motets attributed to Iacobus Handl-Gallus that circulated exclusively in manuscript form during the 16th and 17th centuries. These compositions were never published, either during the composer's lifetime or posthumously, and have survived solely in manuscript sources now housed in various libraries and music archives across Europe. Presented here for the first time in a modern critical edition, these motets are accompanied by a detailed introduction and critical commentary. The introduction explores the complex issues surrounding the transmission of the works, including the origins and historical context of the manuscripts. The critical reports provide an in-depth analysis of the philological challenges posed by the sources.V zvezku je predstavljenih šest osemglasnih motetov, ki jih glasbeni rokopisi iz 16. in 17. stoletja pripisujejo Iacobusu Handlu - Gallusu. Moteti so prvič predstavljeni v sodobni kritični izdaji in so opremljeni z obširnim uvodom in kritičnim komentarjem. Spremna besedila obravnavajo vprašanja avtorstva, avtentičnosti in ohranjenosti del ter izvor in zgodovinsko ozadje glasbenih rokopisov. Kritična poročila vsebujejo poglobljeno analizo filoloških izzivov, ki jih predstavljajo viri
Arhitektura v svetu. Rancière in Gage – Riha – Čeferin – Badiou
The book Arhitektura v svetu ('Architecture in the World') examines the possibility of developing architecture as one of the practices that are able to operate in the world in such a way as to open it up, to reveal it in its constitutive openness; that is, in that dimension that every regime tries to conceal, including the current regime of contemporary capitalism. This practice of architecture is what in the book is referred to as "architecture in the world.”
This is a practice of architecture that establishes itself and appears in the world by simultaneously building the world and transforming it, reconstructing it. It consitututes itself in the world together with the world it constitutes. The contributions in the book focus not only on architecture but on other fields of thought as well, including art, philosophy and politics. They are, however, linked by a common problem: the problem of outlining the possibility of a way of thinking and acting in the world that at the same time constitutes a reconstructing of the given world.
Jacques Ranciere and Mark Foster Gage discuss the connections between politics and aesthetics in relation to architecture. Rado Riha examines contemporary art through Kant’s concept of reflective power of judgment. Collection's editor, Petra Čeferin, discusses Plečnik’s architectural constructions of public space as a possible source of support for intellectual emancipation. The book concludes with a text by Alain Badiou in which he responds to the question: To be happy, must we change the world?
The book discusses transport poverty – a situation when an individual or household does not have adequate transport to essential services and activities or has trouble affording it. Our definition of transport poverty served as the basis for compiling nine indicators for its measurement. From the spatial aspect, transport poverty in Slovenia was examined with an analysis of the accessibility of public transport, which is the most universal as well as crucial mode of transport for people without a car. From the social aspect, we identified the key stakeholders and potential vulnerable groups and investigated their circumstances by conducting interviews and workshops with them. Using all of the analyses as the basis, we utilized a participatory approach to prepare a list of ten measures to prevent and alleviate transport poverty. The transport poverty phenomenon is set to become increasingly current and pressing with the green transition and the projected increases to fuel prices, especially in Slovenia, which is marked by scattered settlement and car dependence in a majority of the country.
