Roč. 72, č. 6 (2024), s. 841-866.The paper is a thematic analysis of 44 empirical studies that applied frontier techniques in analysing efficiency of Czech and Slovak commercial banks. The 44 journal articles were extracted from the Web of Science database and classified by prevailing research interest, methodological configuration and main findings in order to determine the state of the art and provide a starting point for further research in this subject area. The main research agenda of efficiency studies focused on Czech and Slovak banking was classified into eight relatively compact research interests ranging historically from effects of transition reforms to effects of asset and income diversification. The first identifiable wave of research was represented by foreign authors who examined issues of economic transition and its impact on performance of banks, and lasted until about 2013, when the baton passed into the hands of authors of Czecho-Slovak provenience.VEGA 1/0442/22 Nové DEA modely pre použitie na regulačné účely vo finančných a sieťových odvetviac

Vol. 25, no. 199 (2024), pp. 1-9.The Slovak Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (SAAHE) issued new standards and criteria for universities quality management systems in 2020 (SAAHES-IS 2020). Requirements and criteria determined in the SAAHES-IS 2020 are based on the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG). However, some Slovak universities implemented and maintained their quality management system (QMS) according to the ISO 9001 standard in the past. The object of the research presented in our paper is a Slovak university certified according to the ISO 9001. The subject of the research is employee’s awareness about selected requirements of both standards, ISO 9001 and SAAHES-IS 2020. The main objectives of the research are: (1) to identify common requirements of both standards, (2) to explore employees awareness related to the identified common requirements and (3) to create decision assumptions how processes should be assured, either in accordance with ISO 9001 or SAAHES-IS 2020. This paper has also a methodological benefit. It allows to compare any standardized management systems that have common requirements. Employees awareness of the selected quality requirements has three elementary pillars in our research. They are the knowledge about requirement definition, how the given requirement is assured in the management practice and how employee contributes in the given requirement assurance

S. 499-505.Vedecký článok sa zaoberá ústavnou sťažnosťou fyzických osôb alebo právnických osôb podľa čl. 127 Ústavy Slovenskej republiky. Osobitne je priblížené konanie pred ústavným súdom o ústavnej sťažnosti, vrátane jej predbežného prerokovania. Analyzovaný je najmä časový aspekt včasného podania sťažnosti, a to s akcentom na poskytnutie ústavnoprávnej ochrany namietaným právam. V tejto súvislosti je preto potrebné zohľadniť nielen základnú dvojmesačnú lehotu na podanie sťažnosti, ale aj osobitné skutočnosti, akým je napríklad aj existencia porušenia práva či trvanie namietaného zásahu. Len za predpokladu splnenia základných atribútov je možné konštatovať splnenie zákonných náležitostí ústavnej sťažnosti

ISSN 2307-3322. č. 83 (3) (2024), s. 262-267.In criminal proceedings, the establishment of facts beyond reasonable doubt is a cornerstone principle, ensuring that criminal offenses are accurately identified and perpetrators are justly punished while respecting the rights of all parties involved. The proof process is vital, with evidence playing an essential role in determining the outcomes of various procedural stages. Among the types of evidence, expert evidence has become increasingly significant, especially with advances in science and technology broadening the scope of issues requiring specialized knowledge. This paper aims to analyze the roles and impacts of professional and expert activities in criminal procedures. It seeks to highlight the distinctions between expert reports and professional statements, illustrating their respective legal standings and importance in the context of Slovak law. By examining the regulatory framework, specifically Act No. 382/2004 Coll. on experts, interpreters, and translators, and the Criminal Procedure Code (Act No. 301/2005 Coll.), the paper delves into the conditions, rights, and obligations of experts. Additionally, it addresses the significance of expert consultants introduced by the Criminal Procedure Code, who provide advisory services without precluding the involvement of expert witnesses for comprehensive technical assessments. Expert reports, governed by stringent formalities, are pivotal in addressing complex technical issues within criminal cases. These reports must be produced by court-appointed experts and include detailed descriptions of the methods used and the conclusions drawn. Conversely, professional statements, considered documentary evidence, do not carry the same legal weight and lack the formalities required for expert reports. The Criminal Procedure Code also ensures that expert evidence is used appropriately by stipulating when and how expert opinions should be sought. This comprehensive approach ensures that all technical and scientific issues are thoroughly examined, contributing to the fair administration of justice. In conclusion, the integration of expert and professional activities in criminal proceedings enhances the accuracy and reliability of judicial decisions. By leveraging specialized knowledge, the legal system can better fulfill its mandate of delivering justice while upholding the principles of fairness and due process. This paper underscores the necessity of clear regulatory frameworks and the proper application of expert evidence to achieve these aims
Evaluation of sleep quality among students of the police academy

S. 151-159.Spánok je najprirodzenejším zdrojom obnovy a regenerácie fyzických aj psychických síl. V spánku strávime asi tretinu svojho života, čo predstavuje približne 25 rokov. Z týchto a mnohých ďalších dôvodov nie je nutné pripomínať, aký význam má spánok pre každú vekovú kategóriu. Cieľom nami realizovanej štúdie bolo analyzovať a zhodnotiť kvalitu spánku u vysokoškolských študentov Akadémie PZ v Bratislave. Výskumný súbor tvorilo celkom 395 respondentov (190 mužov a 205 žien) - študentov vysokoškolského kombinovaného štúdia. Na zber dát sme použili dotazník Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Výsledky sme analyzovali so zameraním na intersexuálne rozdiely, kvantifikovali ich pomocou percent i štatistickou analýzou pomocou χ2 testu na hladine p < 0,01 a p < 0,05. Subjektívna kvalita spánku u vysokoškolských študentov je hodnotená pomerne kladne a vykazuje pozitívny vzťah k zvládaniu každodenných aktivít. Z našich zistení vyplýva, že priemerná dĺžka spánku je u žien 6:23 hod. a u mužov 6:41 hod. Signifikantné rozdiely boli zistené v priemernom čase vstávania (p<0,01). Dobrú kvalitu spánku vykazuje 45,85% žien a 53,68% mužov, pričom závažné poruchy spánku boli zistené u 9,76% žien a 5,26% mužov
Kyslík a krv v športovej príprave
No full textŠportová príprava je v rámci Vied o športe považovaná za azda najdynamickejšiu oblasť, preto sme radi, že sa nám podarilo v rámci riešenia grantových úloh VEGA 1/0707/22 (Špecifiká variability hematologických ukazovateľov sledovaných v biologickom pase športovca) a VEGA 1/0547/22 (Využitie hypoxie a hyperoxie v športovej príprave) spojiť niektoré súvisiace oblasti, vďaka čomu sme mohli efektívnejšie využívať prostriedky, ak aj personálne zázemie oboch projektov. Tento zborník približuje výskumy na ktorých participovali riešitelia oboch grantových úloh, pričom na niektorých participovali aj študenti, čo vytváralo vďaka obom grantom zázemie na zapájanie študentských vedeckých síl, doktorandov, ako aj prípravu potenciálnych doktorandov, ktorí by mohli v budúcnosti rozvíjať oblasť vied o športe. Príspevky publikované v tomto zborníku nielen rozširujú
aktuálne poznatky o interpretácii výsledkov v biologickom pase športovca, ale prinášajú aj nové poznatky o efektivite využívania hypoxie a hyperoxie v športovej príprave. Veríme, že prezentované výsledky pomôžu pri objektívnejšej interpretácii dát v biologickom pase športovca, ako aj pri optimalizácii využitia hypoxie a hyperoxie športovcov. Toto je určite v záujem všetkých ľudí, ktorí sa podieľajú na výkonnostnom a vrcholovom športe v Slovenskej republike, lebo nielen v kontexte výsledkov našich športovcov na tohtoročných Olympijských hrách v Paríži, ale aj v záujem napredovania slovenského športu je, aby každý športový odborník prispel svojim kúskom k tomu, aby mohli mať naši športovci nielen dobré podmienky na športovú prípravu, ale aby mohli využívať aj najaktuálnejšie poznatky, ktoré vedy o športe, ale aj veda ako taká ponúkajú.VEGA 1/0707/22 Špecifiká variability hematologických ukazovateľov sledovaných v biologickom pase športovca

The roles and responsibilities of the school support team in inclusive education in kindergartens

Roč. 82, č. 4 (2024), pp. 521-538.Inclusive education presents a significant challenge for contemporary society. All children should have the opportunity to develop according to their educational needs within an inclusive environment. The effectiveness of the school support team plays a crucial role in achieving this goal. This research aimed to explore the perspectives of teaching staff in kindergartens, including headmasters, teachers, and teaching assistants, regarding inclusive education, with a specific focus on their views and attitudes towards the roles of school special educators and teaching assistants in preschool education. A mixed-methods research strategy was employed to achieve this aim. Data were collected using a selfconstructed questionnaire containing both closed and open items, completed by 394 respondents from 142 kindergartens. The findings indicated that teaching staff perceived the existence of a school support team as having a positive impact on addressing various children's issues and enhancing teachers' work. These results contribute to a broader understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the members of a school support team in kindergartens.VEGA 1/0114/23 Možnosti inkluzívnej edukácie žiakov so špeciálnymi výchovno-vzdelávacími potrebam
