    Comparing the Prediction of Numeric Patterns on Form C1 Using the K-Nearest Neighbors (K-NN) Method and a Combination of K-Nearest Neighbors (K-NN) with Connected Component Labeling (CCL)

    Indonesia's elections serve as a cornerstone of its democratic system, with the active participation of its citizens being of paramount importance. To bolster transparency and civic engagement during these elections, the SITUNG system (Election Result Information System) is employed for the tabulation of election results. However, the current tabulation process remains manual, potentially leading to data entry errors and a reduced accuracy of election outcomes. This research endeavor seeks to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of election result tabulation by employing the K-Nearest Neighbors (K-NN) method for recognizing numeric patterns on Form C1, both independently and in combination with Connected Component Labeling (CCL). The K-NN method demonstrates a commendable 60.0% accuracy in recognizing numeric patterns from the original Form C1 data. However, when combined with CCL, the accuracy drops to 51.2%. This research makes a significant contribution by simplifying the tabulation process and improving the accuracy of election results in Indonesia through the application of the K-NN method. The technology is anticipated to fortify democracy by promoting a more transparent and participatory electoral process for the citizens

    Machine Learning Approach for Classification of Sickle Cell Anemia in Teenagers Based on Bayesian Network

    In this study, we employed a Bayesian network approach for the classification of sickle cell anemia in teenagers based on their medical data. Sickle cell anemia is a hereditary blood disorder characterized by the presence of abnormal hemoglobin, leading to distorted red blood cells. Early detection and classification of this condition are crucial for timely intervention and improved patient outcomes. Our research focused on leveraging the algorithmic power of Bayesian network to model and analyze a diverse set of medical parameters in teenagers, including age, platelet count, mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC), red blood cell count, packed cell volume etc. The Bayesian network method employed for the classification of sickle cell anemia involves using a probabilistic graphical model to represent the relationships among different medical parameters. The model incorporates Bayesian principles to update and refine its predictions as new information is introduced. The method identifies key features in the dataset that contribute significantly to the classification, providing valuable insights for early detection and intervention. The Bayesian network demonstrated remarkable efficacy in accurately classifying teenagers as either positive for sickle cell anemia or negative, achieving an impressive 99% accuracy rate. This high level of accuracy indicates the robustness of the model in discerning intricate patterns within the medical data. Key features contributing to the classification are found in the dataset, shedding light on their relevance in distinguishing between positive and negative cases of sickle cell anemia, especially in teenagers. Our findings provide valuable insights into the potential diagnostic significance of sickle cell anemia classification in the teenage population. This research contributes to the growing body of knowledge in the field of medical informatics and computational biology, offering an efficient and reliable tool for healthcare practitioners in the early identification of sickle cell anemia in teenagers. The demonstrated accuracy of the Bayesian network shows its potential as an effective decision support system, aiding clinicians in making informed decisions and facilitating timely interventions for improved patient care

    Analysis of Factors Affecting User Satisfaction of E-Commerce Applications Using End-User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) Method

    The current era is marked by rapid technological advancements, with e-commerce being one of the most prominent innovations that caters to people's needs and saves time. In this study, we examine the factors that significantly influence user satisfaction in Shopee, a popular e-commerce platform, using the End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) method. Data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires to students in the DKI Jakarta area. Our analysis revealed that Content, Accuracy, Format, Ease of Use, Timeliness, and Fulfillment are all significant factors that affect user satisfaction. Together, these factors explain 78.7% of user satisfaction. Additionally, through T-tests, we found that only three variables have a significant and positive impact on user satisfaction: Ease of Use, Timeliness, and Fulfillment. These findings indicate that e-commerce platforms should prioritize these factors to enhance user satisfaction

    The manual nature of Material Store such as Toko Bangunan Berkat Rezeki's current business operations is one of the hurdles it encounters in marketing. This study intends to build a marketing information system for the products and services of Toko Bangunan Berkat Rezeki utilizing the 4P marketing mix idea (product, price, place, and promotion). The framework for application design is design thinking, which includes empathy, defining, ideating, prototyping, and test phases. Business owners, employees, and customer's requirements are identified during the empathize phase. In addition, at the designated stage, each system user's business operational difficulties are ranked according to a scale of importance. At the ideate stage, the outcomes of selecting and organizing problems and wants of system users based on priority scales are used to create flows and authorities according to their respective functions. At the prototype stage, the application interface is designed based on the demands and rules of system users and follows the 4P marketing mix concept. In the testing phase, test the login procedure for each user and the procedures for adding, saving, viewing, updating, and removing data. The findings of this study indicate that information on products, product prices, and product promotions may be handled by a website-based marketing information system, such that place is no longer synonymous with a physical store but rather an intangible one. Consequently, Toko Bangunan Berkat Rezeki can employ a website-based marketing information system to enhance sales volume and expand its market reach

    The revival of rail transport service in Nigeria in recent years came at a critical moment of insecurity in Nigeria, it promised not only to serve as an alternative to overloaded vehicles on the roads but was also thought to be a safer means of transportation. Due to kidnapping on many roads, both high and low-class Nigerians patronized rail transport.  However, train attacks and terrorism are major challenges that have impacted the sector negatively. Though the government has tried to improve surveillance along train routes, however, the result has not been impressive. The current level of insecurity in Nigeria is beyond the use of traditional surveillance and monitoring systems. It requires the adoption of technology to fight attacks and to monitor the health of train facilities. While the insecurity challenges that have overwhelmed the security forces will not permit the assignment of more personnel to the rail tracks that stretch several kilometres across the country, the incorporation of IoT and edge computing can be an optimal solution to the challenges of constant security problems. Among the trending technologies, IoT is a viable option that the country can adopt to improve security in the sector. It will increase the confidence of passengers and improve revenue and growth in rail transport

    Digital Village Development has become an important agenda in efforts to modernize and improve the quality of life in rural areas. This transformation relies on the use of information and communication technology (ICT) to increase convenience and efficiency in various fields. The success of developing a Digital Village depends on the readiness of ICT infrastructure. The village office, which is the center for administration and services to the community, must have adequate ICT infrastructure as the main requirement for activating various digital initiatives. The research was conducted to determine the current state of readiness of Cimenyan village, Bandung Regency in implementing ICT in village government offices. The readiness level analysis is prepared based on the COBIT framework in 3 domains, namely: IT process domain PO1 (defining IT strategic plans), PO2 (determining information architecture), and PO4 (defining IT processes, IT organization, and their relationships) The results of the analysis will be mapped based on the maturity level of each domain in COBIT. The level of maturity obtained will help the Cimenyan Village government to make appropriate preparations for implementing ICT so that the goal of Cimenyan Village becoming a digital village in West Java can be achieved

    Measuring the Benefits of the Skill Academy’s Online Training Platform

    The research purpose is to prove the truth of an internal survey of 96,406 users of the Academy Skills platform. The results of the survey stated that after participating in the training the user felt an increase in skills. Verification of the correctness of the survey uses a combination of the Delone and McClean (DM) models and the Technology-to-Performance Chain (TPC) model which has 5 constructs: System quality, information quality, service quality, task-Technology Fit, and Net Benefit. The method used in this study is a quantitative method through the development of identified constructs. Quantitative data was obtained from a questionnaire distributed to 96 respondents using the Skill Academy platform. The result of this study is that the constructs of system quality, information quality, and service quality have a positive effect on task-technology fit, and the task-technology fit construct has a positive effect on net benefits. In other words, the skills academy platform has quality systems, information, and services that allow tasks to be accommodated so that the impact is beneficial for users

    Understanding the Influence of Cybercrime Law Absence on Cyberbullying in Higher Institutions of Learning: A Case of the International University of Management

    Cyberbullying is a serious problem that can have a significant negative impact on victims, including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and even suicidal thoughts. The absence of cybercrime laws can make it difficult to prosecute cyberbullying cases, which can contribute to the problem. The purpose of this study was to understand the influence of the absence of a cybercrime law on cyberbullying in higher institutions of learning. The study focused on the International University of Management (IUM) in Namibia. The study used mixed methods research design. Data was collected through an online questionnaire comprising both quantitative and qualitative questions. The link to the questionnaire was shared with students, as well as academic and administrative staff at IUM.  The study found that the absence of a cybercrime law contributes to the problem of cyberbullying in IUM.  The study also found that that there are a number of factors that contribute to cyberbullying in IUM, such as the use of social media, the anonymity that the internet provides, and the lack of awareness of cyberbullying among students and staff. The findings of the study have implications for policymakers, educators, and parents. Policymakers need to enact cybercrime laws to help prevent and prosecute cyberbullying cases. Educators need to educate students about cyberbullying and how to deal with it. Parents need to talk to their children about cyberbullying and monitor their online activity

    Implementing Website-Based School Information Systems in Public Elementary Schools Using Waterfall Model

    This research focuses on implementing a web-based school information system at SDN 14 Pontianak City, a renowned public elementary school with a rich historical background. The study aims to address challenges related to ineffective internal information delivery within the school. Currently, reliance on group chats for school-related activities poses obstacles in efficiently disseminating crucial information, including new student registration, extracurricular activities, competition achievements, vision and mission statements, and important updates. To overcome these challenges, a website-based school information system is proposed. It aims to seamlessly deliver essential school-related information to a wider audience, including parents and prospective parents. The system ensures easy access to information that was previously confined to the school's internal environment. The research employs the structured development process of the waterfall model, utilizing context diagrams, data flow diagrams (DFD), and entity relation diagrams (ERD) for a well-defined system design. Rigorous testing using the black box approach ensures website functionality and reliability. Implementation of this web-based school information system is expected to substantially improve information dissemination, benefiting the entire school community by providing convenient access to vital information for parents and prospective parents. This improvement will foster enhanced communication and engagement within the school ecosystem
