Utilizing Web Engineering to Build a Savings and Loans Information System in A Plasma Pratama Mandiri Cooperative
The Plasma Pratama Mandiri Cooperative operates in the field of savings and loan fund services for its members. However, the cooperative faces significant challenges due to its reliance on conventional, archive-based systems for processing savings transactions, loans, installments, and report preparation. These outdated methods result in time-consuming data searches and inefficiencies. To address this issue, the aim of this study is to develop a more efficient and computerized savings and loan information system for the Plasma Pratama Mandiri Cooperative. The study employs the Web Engineering method, encompassing stages such as communication, planning, modeling, construction, and deployment, with system modeling conducted using the Unified Modeling Language (UML). The outcome of this research is the development of an Android-based savings and loan information system for cooperative members and a web-based system for cooperative administrators. This new system facilitates online management and significantly enhances service efficiency for cooperative members
Designing Gamified Systems for Mental Health Support: An Exploratory Study
This exploratory study investigates the innovative design of gamified systems for mental health support, focusing on enhancing user engagement and well-being. By integrating user-centered design (UCD) principles with effective gamification elements, this research aims to develop engaging and therapeutically effective mental health interventions. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the study combines qualitative and quantitative data collection, including surveys, interviews, and user testing, to gather comprehensive insights from a diverse participant group. The findings reveal significant insights into user engagement, satisfaction, and the impact of gamification on mental health outcomes. While gamification enhances user engagement, balancing entertainment with therapeutic functionality is crucial. A comparative analysis between gamified and non-gamified app versions highlights the benefits and challenges of incorporating gamification in mental health contexts. The study concludes with practical recommendations for future research and design, emphasizing the need for continued innovation to optimize digital mental health interventions
Digital Marketing Strategies by Start-Ups in a VUCA Context
In the volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) business environment of today, online marketing has become crucial for connecting with customers and the community. Organisations leverage online marketing to retain and grow their customer base by fostering engagement and building strong community ties. This study explores how start-up leaders utilise online marketing systems to achieve these benefits. Targeting successful small retail business owners in India, the research involved semi-structured and face-to-face interviews, while other data sources include reviews of public documents, company websites, and social media sites. The findings reveal the strategies that start-ups use to boost sales through digital marketing. Four key themes emerged from data collection and analysis: (a) social media platforms and strategies; (b) online marketing strategies and challenges; (c) online content strategies; and (d) follow-up strategies. These findings expounded upon the digital marketing techniques employed by business organisers to increase sales, build strong customer relationships, and promote community development. The study recommended that start-ups should enhance the use of social media platforms, refining online content to better engage target audiences, address the challenges inherent in online marketing, and develop robust follow-up strategies to maintain customer relationships. The study highlights how these businesses would enhance brand recognition, drive progress, and maintain sustainability by utilising various communication networks to advance and promote products and services in the retail industry
Evaluation of Information Systems on the SIMDAPRO using the Unfield Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) Method
The Management Information System for Housing Profile Data and Settlement Areas (SIMDAPRO) is a web-based system managed by Department Housing settlement Areas South Sumatra Province (DISPERKIM).. This system is integrated and unified, thus accelerating and improving the process of proposing assistance from the South Sumatra Provincial Government. Additionally, it facilitates related parties in verifying proposals. To analyse the factors influencing to understand how people accept and use the information technology, This study employs the UTAUT model, comprising four primary constructs: the first one is performance expectancy, and the next is the second effort expectancy, and the next one is the third social influence, and the next one is the fourth facilitating conditions. It aims to examine how these constructs influence the behavioral intention of (SIMDAPRO) application users in South Sumatra Province. The research approach is quantitative accompanied by a survey method. The research sample consists of 34 respondents who were chosen through using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques include validation, questionnaires, and observation. with instrument tests conducted for validity and reliability. The findings reveal that all four constructs the first one is performance expectancy, and the next is the second effort expectancy, and the next one is the third social influence, and the next one is the fourth facilitating conditions. significantly and positively impact the behavioral intention of SIMDAPRO application users in South Sumatra Province
Designing Student Internship Information System Interfaces Using the Design Thinking Method
Internship programs are essential for tertiary students to gain relevant experience before entering the workforce. Managing these programs, especially in institutions such as the East Java Province Marine and Fisheries Agency (DKP), poses challenges due to the reliance on paper-based processes and the need for centralized management across 17 branches. Therefore, this research developed a "Centralized Internship Information System" (CIIS) program designed with the aim of simplifying internship registration, student placement, document management, and program monitoring at DKP and its branches. This research focuses on designing a user-friendly interface for CIIS to address these issues. The design process follows the Design Thinking method, which emphasizes deeply understanding user needs and creating innovative solutions. The effectiveness of CIIS was evaluated using the Short User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ), which assesses user experience across key aspects. The UEQ results showed an average pragmatic quality score of 1.954 (excellent) and an average hedonic quality score of 1.856, with an overall average of 1.91. These results indicate that CIIS provides a high-quality user experience, facilitating easier access to internship opportunities for students, efficient candidate selection for companies, and effective monitoring for internship managers at DKP
An Experimental Study of The Efficacy of Prompting Strategies In Guiding ChatGPT for A Computer Programming Task
In the rapidly advancing artificial intelligence (AI) era, optimizing language models such as Chatbot Generative Pretrained Transformer (ChatGPT) for specialised tasks like computer programming remains a mystery. There are numerous inconsistencies in the quality and correctness of code generated by ChatGPT in programming. This study aims to analyse how the different prompting strategies; text-to-code and code-to-code, impact the output of ChatGPT's responses in programming tasks. The study adopted an experimental design that presented ChatGPT with a diverse set of programming tasks and prompts, spanning various programming languages, difficulty levels, and problem domains. The generated outputs were rigorously tested and evaluated for accuracy, latency, and qualitative aspects. The findings indicated that code-to-code prompting significantly improved accuracy, achieving a 93.55% success rate compared to 29.03% for text-to-code. Code-to-code prompts were particularly effective across all difficulty levels, while text-to-code struggled, especially with harder tasks. Based on these findings, computer programming students need to appreciate and comprehend that ChatGPT prompting is essential for getting the desired output. Using optimised prompting methods, students can achieve more accurate and efficient code generation, enhancing the quality of their code. Future research should explore the balance between prompt specificity and code efficiency, investigate additional prompting strategies, and develop best practices for prompt design to optimize the use of AI in software development
Exploring Public University Undergraduate Students’ Experiencing Intention to Use ChatGPT in Academic Purpose: Application of TAM Theory
This study is all about exploring the public university students’ experiencing intention to use ChatGPT in academic purpose with the application of TAM theory along with new extension like enjoyment, informativeness and privacy and security factors. The study was conducted in Rangpur division, Bangladesh. Total 412 data were found valid after data collection. SPSS and Smart PLS software were applied for analysis of the data with TAM theory. The study result shows that, all the factors except perceived enjoyment impacts positively the attitudes of students. Service providers of ChatGPT should consider this factor carefully so that in future they can update some new feature with ChatGPT that may be enjoyable to the users. Teachers of the university should be careful while examining students’ different assignments and projects whether they are not directly copied from ChatGPT or not. Future studies can be with other factors with the existing factors and mediation can also be done by the researchers for further study. School and college level students may be considered for this type of study and the sample size should be larger for better result.  
Stock Grouping Based on Price Earnings Ratio and Price Book Value Using K-Medoids Algorithm
Investing involves allocating funds to achieve optimal returns by evaluating opportunities and managing risks in asset acquisition. Recently, many news reports have highlighted issues in the Indonesian capital market, such as stock investors using online loan funds for trading, which often leads to debt. This research aims to apply the K-Medoids algorithm for stock clustering, enabling investors to select fundamentally sound stocks based on the Price-Earnings Ratio (PER) and Price-Book Value (PBV). The K-Medoids method results show that Cluster 1 includes 93 stocks with moderate PER and PBV values. Cluster 2 comprises 91 stocks with the lowest PER and PBV values. Cluster 3 contains 113 stocks with the highest PER and PBV values. Developing an information system that classifies stocks based on PER and PBV can help investors analyze and make investment decisions more effectively
An Investigation of Environmental Factors that Influence Student's Decision to Study Information Technology: A Qualitative Approach
Selecting a career path is crucial for students' future success and job market readiness. This study underscores the need to align education with career goals for an easier transition from school to work. It highlights the importance of environmental factors, academic performance, and personal factors in influencing students' career decisions. While many studies focus on social and academic impacts, few explore the environmental aspects affecting the career choices of Information Technology (IT) students. This research aims to fill this gap by investigating these environmental influences using a qualitative approach, concentrating on comprehensive examinations through questionnaires and focus group discussions. The specific scientific research objectives are to identify and analyse the key environmental factors that influence IT students' career choices; and to understand how these factors interact with personal and academic considerations to shape career decisions. By exploring the effects of technological advancements, media trends, societal expectations, and access to IT resources, the study seeks to uncover the core substance of environmental influences on career orientation within the IT field. It involves a diverse student group from various educational and socio-economic backgrounds. The findings reveal a strong influence of technological advancements and media trends on students' perceptions of IT careers, showing a keen responsiveness to new technologies and media representations. In contrast, societal and cultural factors like family expectations and peer pressure have a lesser effect. The study emphasises the importance of resources like IT infrastructure and early technology exposure in career choices. It suggests that educational institutions and policymakers should consider these elements to develop effective strategies. Addressing societal norms, ensuring equal resource access, and improving information availability are key. Such measures can help prepare a skilled generation, contributing to the technological field and societal advancement
Capability Gap Analysis in IT Governance for a Logistics Company Using COBIT 2019
This paper aims to evaluate the IT governance capability levels within a logistics company using the COBIT 2019 framework, focusing on identifying gaps between the current state (as-is) and the desired state (to-be). The methodology involves an assessment of three key Governance and Management Objectives: stakeholder engagement (EDM05), IT asset management (BAI09), and IT compliance (MEA03). The results indicate that all objectives are currently at capability level 1, highlighting the early stages of implementation and the need for substantial improvement. The study concludes that addressing these gaps through the COBIT 2019 framework will significantly enhance the company’s IT governance, leading to improved operational efficiency, stronger risk management, and better alignment with strategic business goals. These findings provide actionable insights for advancing IT governance maturity, contributing to the long-term success and competitiveness of the company in the logistics sector
