    İş Yerinde Algılanan Stres ve Sanal Kaytarmanın Yordayıcısı Olarak İstismarcı Liderlik

    Son yıllarda internet kullanımının artan yaygınlığı, araştırmacılar arasında sanal kaytarma davranışlarına olan ilginin artmasına neden olmuştur. Genel olarak, işyerinde sanal kaytarma, çalışanların interneti kişisel amaçlar için gönüllü olarak kullanmaları olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Geçmiş araştırmalar bunun bireysel ve kurumsal sonuçlarla bağlantısını göstermiştir. Bu çalışma özellikle istismarcı liderliğin ve algılanan stresin çalışanlar arasında sanal kaytarma davranışları üzerindeki etkilerini incelemektedir. Ayrıca algılanan stresin bu ilişkiye aracılık edip etmediğini de araştırmaktadır. Örneklem, çeşitli sektörlerde çalışan 265 çalışandan oluşmaktadır. Katılımcılar, işyerinde istismarcı liderlik, algılanan stres ve sanal kaytarma davranışlarını değerlendiren maddeleri çevrimiçi anket yoluyla doldurmuşlardır. Araştırmanın sonuçları, istismarcı liderliğin, çalışanların stres düzeylerini ve sanal kaytarma davranışlarını pozitif yönde yordadığını göstermiştir. Ancak, algılanan stres, istismarcı liderlik ve sanal kaytarma arasındaki ilişkide aracı bir rol oynamamıştır. Bu çalışma, istismarcı liderlik davranışlarının çalışanlar tarafından algılanan stres ve iş yerindeki üretkenlik karşıtı davranışlar üzerindeki etkilerinin daha iyi anlaşılmasına katkıda bulunmaktadır.     Acceptance of Educational Use of Ai Chatbots in the Context of Self-Directed Learning With Technology and Ict Self-Efficacy of Undergraduate Students

The acceptance of this technology for learning purposes is indicative of learners' intentions and actual use in the future. Hence, this study aims to test the educational use of AI chatbots in the context of self-directed learning with technology (SDLT) along with information and communication technology (ICT) self-efficacy, using the extended Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The study involved 414 undergraduate students, and the research model was tested by utilizing the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that ICT self-efficacy affects only the perceived ease of use (PEU), whereas PEU and perceived usefulness have a positive effect on the intention to use AI chatbots. Moreover, SDLT is shown to affect both the intention and the actual use of AI chatbots. As such, it is suggested - among other notes - that universities update their curricula and activities to support SDLT, and also organize activities in order to increase ICT self-efficacy among students

    Demansın erken evrelerinde meydana gelen düşünme, hafıza süreçlerindeki gerileme ve yürütücü işlevlerdeki bozulma demanslı bireylerin beslenme sürecinde birtakım sorunlara yol açmaktadır. Bu sorunlardan birisi de malnütrisyondur. Malnütrisyona bağlı meydana gelen enerji ve mikro besin eksikliği, bilişsel fonksiyonlarda meydana gelen bozuklukların daha da fazla şiddetlenmesine sebep olarak demansın progresyonunu hızlandırabilmektedir. Bu nedenle, demanslı bireylerde bilişsel faaliyetlerdeki gerileme riskinin önlenmesi ve malnütrisyonun etkili bir şekilde yönetimi çok önemlidir. Bütüncül bakım anlayışı ile 24 saat kesintisiz bakım hizmeti veren hemşireler, demanslı bireylerin beslenme durumlarının izlenmesinde ve demansı olmayan bireylerde demans gelişme riskinin azaltılmasında kilit role sahiptirler. Bu nedenle bu makalede, hemşirelerin demansın progresyonu üzerinde ciddi etkileri bulunan beslenme durumuna ilişkin farkındalık geliştirmeleri, demanslı bireyler için koruyucu ve tedavi edici yaklaşımlar konusunda kanıta dayalı rehberler ışığında bilgi sahibi olmaları amaçlanmıştır

    Nesnelerin İnternetinin (Nİ) genişleyen kullanım alanları, kablosuz ağlardaki güvenliğin önemini daha da artırmıştır. Kısıtlı işlem kapasitesine sahip bu cihazlarda karmaşık şifreleme yöntemleri her zaman kullanışlı değildir. Bunun sonucunda Radyo Frekanslı (RF) Parmak İzi yöntemi tanıtıldı ve başarılı sonuçlar ortaya konuldu. IoT cihazların üretim aşamalarındaki donanımsal farklılıklar kullanılarak cihazlar için bir kimlik elde edilmiştir. Bu sayede cihaz sınıflandırması ve yetkilendirmesi yapmak mümkün hale gelerek fiziksel katman güvenliğine katkı sağlanmıştır. Bu uygulamalar derin öğrenme (DÖ) ile yapılarak çok başarılı sınıflandırma doğrulukları elde edilmiştir. Ancak bu modeller, uygulama açısından, hala gelişmeye ihtiyaç duymaktadır. Bu tezde, 1 boyutlu Evrişimli Sinir Ağı (ESA) modeli ile çıkarım aşamasındaki gecikmenin düşürülmesi sunulmaktadır. 55 LoRa cihazından oluşan açık kaynak bir veri seti kullanılmıştır. Ön işleme yöntemleri olan Short Time Fourier Transform (STFT) ve Fast Fourier Transform'un (FFT) sınıflandırma doğruluğu ve çıkarım süresi bağlamında karşılaştırmaları yapılmıştır. Ek olarak, sunulan model 2 boyutlu ESA modeliyle karşılaştırılmıştır. Bu hafif model, çıkarım süresi açısından önemli iyileştirme sağlarken doğruluk açısından yalnızca çok küçük ve kabul edilebilir kayıplar gözlemlenmiştir.With the increasing usage areas of the Internet of Things (IoT), the importance of ensuring security in wireless networks has grown. Nevertheless, power-constrained devices cannot utilize intricate encryption techniques. Later on, Radio Frequency Fin gerprinting (RFF) appeared, showcasing encouraging outcomes. A unique identity was derived from the distinct hardware variations during the production phases of IoT devices. This enabled device classification and verification functions, enhancing phys ical layer security. These applications were developed using deep learning (DL) tech niques, resulting in highly accurate classification outcomes. Nevertheless, there is still room for enhancement when it comes to putting these DL models into practice. This thesis discusses decreasing inference latency through a lightweight 1D Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model. A dataset containing 55 LoRa devices in an open-set was utilized. Preprocessing methods of Short Time Fourier Transform (STFT) and Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) were compared based on classification accuracy and in ference latency. Furthermore, the model that was introduced was evaluated against the 2D CNN model. Even though the lightweight model offers a notable enhancement in inference speed, there are slight and tolerable reductions in its accuracy

    Investigation of Full-Charm and Full-Bottom Pentaquark States

    The continuous advancement of experimental techniques and investigations has led to observations of various exotic states in particle physics. Each addition to this family of states not only raises expectations for future discoveries but also focuses attention on such potential new states. Building upon this motivation and inspired by recent observations of various traditional and exotic particles containing an increased number of heavy quarks, our study provides a spectroscopic search for potential pentaquark states with spin-parity 32-\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}32\frac{3}{2}-\end{document} and composed entirely of charm or bottom quarks.     Systemic Iodine Levels Increase With Povidone-Iodine Irrigation, but Does This Affect Thyroid Functions? a Case-Control Study

    BackgroundIntraoperative irrigation with diluted povidone iodine (PI) can be used to reduce the incidence of infection-related complications in arthroplasty surgeries. Since PI is associated with many interventions, especially skin antisepsis, its systemic effects are being studied. The aim of our study is to evaluate the systemic effects of PI, which we use as an irrigation solution, by means of urine iodine and thyroid function tests.MethodsIn this case-control study, 96 patients who underwent knee or hip arthroplasty were included and divided into two groups according to the irrigation solution. In the first group, PI was added to the standard irrigation. The second group was considered as the control group and only standard irrigation was applied. Urine iodine, thyroid stimulating hormone, free T3 and free T4 values were compared in the preoperative and postoperative periods of these two groups. In this way, the effect of absorbed iodine on thyroid functions was investigated.ResultsIn the diluted PI group, urinary iodine levels were measured at maximum levels (450 mu g/L) in the early postoperative period in most of the patients. The statistically significant difference in urinary iodine levels between the PI group and the control group, which started in the early postoperative period, continued until the last follow-up on the 14th postoperative day. In terms of thyroid functions, the observed differences were not statistically significant.ConclusionStudies to reduce periprosthetic infection show that PI can be preferred for irrigation before the closure of the joint area in total joint arthroplasty. Although the success of this treatment in periprosthetic infection has been investigated, its systemic examination has not been demonstrated. It was determined that PI treatment, which was seen to decrease in the systemic circulation within 14 days, did not show a statistically significant change in terms of thyroid functions when used at the determined concentration and duration.     Intensive Care Nurses' Knowledge and Practices Regarding Medical Device-Related Pressure Injuries: a Descriptive Cross-Sectional Study

    This study aims to determine the levels of knowledge and practices of intensive care nurses regarding medical device-related pressure injuries (MDRPIs). This descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out between September 2023 and February 2024, involving 143 nurses working in intensive care units across three hospitals in Türkiye. The data were collected using the demographic form and the Medical Device-related Pressure Injuries Knowledge and Practice Assessment Tool (MDPI-ASSET). Of the nurses, 74.1% have encountered MDRPIs in their unit, 63.6% feel that their knowledge about MDRPIs is insufficient and 90.2% express a desire to receive training about MDRPIs. The participants' total mean MDPI-ASSET score was 11.12 (out of 21). The nurses achieved the highest mean score on the Aetiology/risk factors sub-scale and the lowest mean score on the Staging sub-scale. The analysis revealed significant differences in the mean MDPI-ASSET total scores among nurses based on the status of previous encounters with MDRPIs (t = 2.342; p = 0.021) and their feelings of responsibility for the development of MDRPIs (t = −2.746; p = 0.007). In this study, the knowledge and practices of intensive care nurses regarding medical device-induced pressure injuries were found to be inadequate. Given the frequent occurrence of MDRPIs in intensive care units, it is necessary to support nurses with continuous organizational-level training to improve the quality of care for critically ill patients. © 2024 The Author(s).     Introduction: Marxifying IR, IRifying Marxism

    Although the neglect of Marxism has been a pervasive characteristic of IR theory, there has been a marked revival of interest in Marxism. Marx’s materialist insights into the general historical development of societies, as well as his critique of capitalism and political economy, have served as alternative starting points for different critical approaches to IR and offers a welcome alternative to neorealism, constructivism, and poststructuralism that have dominated IR for several decades. Marxism provides a redefinition of IR by focusing on changes in material circumstances, historical conditions, and society instead of assuming unchanging and fixed structures of anarchy or the state. Marx’s analysis and insights into the dynamics of international relations have become even more important given the ongoing crisis of neoliberal capitalism, the rise of authoritarianism, right-wing nationalist populisms, and the racial and gendered subordinations accompanying them pointing to the importance of Marxifying IR and IRifying Marxism. © 2024, International Relations Council of Turkey.     Expectancy From, and Acceptance of Augmented Reality in Dental Education Programs: a Structural Equation Model

Augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies enable remote work and training. Education programs only partially integrated these technologies. For better technology integration, infrastructure readiness, prior-knowledge readiness, expectations, and learner attitudes toward AR and VR technologies must be understood together. Thus, this study creates a structural equation model to understand how these factors affect dental students' technology use.MethodsA correlational survey was done. Four questionnaires were sent to 755 dental students from three schools. These participants were convenience-sampled. Surveys were developed using validity tests like explanatory and confirmatory factor analyses, Cronbach's alpha, and composite reliability. Ten primary research hypotheses are tested with path analysis.ResultsA total of 81.22% responded to the survey (755 out of 930). Positive AR attitude, expectancy, and acceptance were endogenous variables. Positive attitudes toward AR were significantly influenced by two exogenous variables: infrastructure readiness (B = 0.359, beta = 0.386, L = 0.305, U = 0.457, p = 0.002) and prior-knowledge readiness (B = -0.056, beta = 0.306, L = 0.305, U = 0.457, p = 0.002). Expectancy from AR was affected by infrastructure, prior knowledge, and positive and negative AR attitudes. Infrastructure, prior-knowledge readiness, and positive attitude toward AR had positive effects on expectancy from AR (B = 0.201, beta = 0.204, L = 0.140, U = 0.267, p = 0.002). Negative attitude had a negative impact (B = -0.056, beta = -0.054, L = 0.091, U = 0.182, p = 0.002). Another exogenous variable was AR acceptance, which was affected by infrastructure, prior-knowledge preparation, positive attitudes, and expectancy. Significant differences were found in infrastructure, prior-knowledge readiness, positive attitude toward AR, and expectancy from AR (B = 0.041, beta = 0.046, L = 0.026, U = 0.086, p = 0.054).ConclusionInfrastructure and prior-knowledge readiness for AR significantly affect positive AR attitudes. Together, these three criteria boost AR's potential. Infrastructure readiness, prior-knowledge readiness, positive attitudes toward AR, and AR expectations all increase AR adoption. The study provides insights that can help instructional system designers, developers, dental education institutions, and program developers better integrate these technologies into dental education programs. Integration can improve dental students' hands-on experience and program performance by providing training options anywhere and anytime
