AI-Driven Cybersecurity for Defense Networks: A Mathematical Approach with DDoS Attack Analysis

This paper presents a novel machine-learning pipeline tailored for proactive cyber defense within high-stakes military networks, addressing the pressing need to detect and neutralize sophisticated threats such as Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks in near real-time. Our approach begins with a mathematically rigorous anomaly detection framework, constructed on the premise that normal network traffic follows an identifiable statistical distribution, deviations from which can serve as early indicators of malicious behavior. By exploiting deep neural architectures—specifically autoencoders enhanced with domain-specific heuristics—our pipeline learns complex traffic patterns, encompassing both high-volume and subtle “low-and-slow” attack methodologies. A core component of our methodology involves deriving explicit theoretical bounds for detection accuracy and false alarm rates, ensuring that defense operators can calibrate the system according to mission-critical thresholds

Review Study Regarding Agricultural Plastics and Identifying Alternative Disposal/Recycling Methods

Agricultural plastic use has grown substantially due to its beneficial roles in crop protection, irrigation, and packaging. However, improper disposal of agricultural plastics, especially burning, leads to the release of Persistent, Bioaccumulative, and Toxic (PBT) substances into the environment. These PBT emissions present significant environmental and public health risks, as they can persist in ecosystems, accumulate in food chains, and cause harmful effects on human and animal health. This article examines the PBT emissions from burning agricultural plastics, highlighting the chemical composition, environmental fate, and impact on ecosystems. Additionally, it evaluates alternative disposal and recycling methods that could reduce the harmful effects of agricultural plastic waste, such as chemical recycling, biodegradation, and mechanical recycling. Finally, policy frameworks and sustainable practices for better managing agricultural plastic waste are discussed

Cybersecurity Risks in Connected Medical Devices: Mitigating Threats to Patient Safety

Medical devices are becoming smarter, but so are cyber threats. Hospitals rely on connected technologies-pacemakers, insulin pumps, ventilators-yet many lack basic security protections. Attackers exploit unpatched software, weak authentication, and unsecured data transmissions, turning life-saving equipment into potential weapons. The consequences range from ransomware-induced system failures to life-threatening device manipulation. Regulations exist, but enforcement remains inconsistent, leaving gaps in security. This paper examines cyber risks in medical devices, identifying key vulnerabilities and real-world incidents. It explores AI-driven threat detection, blockchain authentication, and zero-trust frameworks as emerging solutions. Case studies highlight both devastating breaches and successful security implementations. The research underscores the urgency of proactive security measures, emphasizing the role of manufacturers, hospitals, and regulators in closing cybersecurity gaps. Without immediate action, healthcare remains an easy target. Cybersecurity in medical devices is no longer optional-it is a matter of patient safety

School Strategy to Prevent Bullying Through the Habit of Congregational Prayer in Muhammadiyah Elementary Schools

This study explores the role of congregational prayer in preventing bullying in schools. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed with the Miles and Huberman interactive method. The results show that congregational prayer helps build character and internalize Islamic values, which serve as a strategy to prevent bullying. Key findings highlight several strategies: (1) fostering a positive and tolerant environment, (2) instilling Islamic character values, (3) intensive supervision, (4) student involvement, (5) enhancing self-awareness and empathy, (6) applying positive approaches to negative behavior, (7) providing real-life examples, (8) reinforcing anti-bullying commitments, (9) encouraging student role models, and (10) integrating Islamic values into daily school life. These efforts collectively create a supportive environment that reduces bullying incidents and promotes positive student behavio

The Challenges of Balancing Budgets in Welfare States

Welfare states are characterized by comprehensive social protection systems designed to promote economic security and social equity, with social expenditures in many OECD countries ranging from 15% to over 27% of GDP (OECD, 2023). However, the extensive benefits provided—encompassing universal healthcare (Barr, 2012), free education, robust pension schemes, and unemployment insurance—pose significant fiscal challenges. For instance, in 2023, Scandinavian countries allocated as much as 27% of their GDP to social spending, while the old-age dependency ratio in many advanced economies is projected to rise from around 30% today to over 60% by 2050 (OECD, 2022), increasing the fiscal burden dramatically. Economic volatility further exacerbates these challenges: during downturns such as the 2008 financial crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic, tax revenues in several countries fell by 2–3 percentage points of GDP, while public debt levels surged by up to 5 percentage points. Moreover, political constraints, including short-term electoral cycles and entrenched interest group pressures, often delay the implementation of essential reforms. This article examines these multifaceted challenges by integrating theoretical frameworks, empirical evidence, and detailed statistical data from international organizations. Through case studies of countries like Sweden, Germany, and the United Kingdom, we assess the inherent trade-offs between sustaining extensive social welfare benefits and maintaining fiscal discipline (European Commission, 2022). Our findings suggest that while robust welfare policies underpin social stability and foster long-term human capital development, ensuring fiscal sustainability in an era of demographic shifts and economic uncertainty necessitates innovative fiscal strategies, comprehensive tax reforms, and structural adjustments
