The Role of the Kidneys in the Regulation of Blood Pressure

The kidneys play a crucial role in the regulation of blood pressure through several mechanisms, including the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS), the regulation of sodium and water balance, and the modulation of vascular resistance. This article explores the multifaceted functions of the kidneys in maintaining hemodynamic stability, the pathophysiological implications of renal dysfunction on blood pressure, and the therapeutic approaches targeting kidney function to manage hypertension. Understanding these relationships is vital for developing effective treatment strategies for hypertension and related cardiovascular disease

Enhancing Underwater Audio Transmission with Secure Li-Fi Technology

Ensuring the security of audio transmission becomes crucial as underwater communication systems become more and more important in a variety of areas, including defense, marine research, and offshore organizations. For this reason, Li-Fi technology is an innovative solution that uses its immunity to electromagnetic interference to get around the restrictions of conventional radio frequencies. Li-Fi allows for high-speed data transfer while reducing interference and signal degradation by encoding audio onto light waves. It highlights the benefits of Li-Fi over RF techniques for underwater communication and investigates how encryption algorithms might be integrated to improve data security. The article discusses the difficulties associated with underwater communication, such as signal attenuation and monitoring susceptibility, and it offers a thorough solution that combines authentication procedures and encryption techniques to guarantee the integrity and confidentiality of audio data. To improve the dependability of communication systems in difficult aquatic situations, this research presents new approaches to the essential demand for secure audio transmission in underwater environments

Sustainability Education in International Schools: A Policy Analysis of Implementation and Challenges in the United Kingdom

Sustainability education has emerged as a critical pillar of 21st-century learning, particularly within international schools that serve as global hubs for fostering environmental awareness and sustainable practices. This study examines the implementation and challenges of sustainability education policies in international schools across the United Kingdom, focusing on policy frameworks, institutional adoption, curriculum integration, and barriers to effective execution. Through a policy analysis approach, this research evaluates the extent to which national education policies, international sustainability guidelines (e.g., UNESCO’s Education for Sustainable Development - ESD framework), and school-specific initiatives contribute to the integration of sustainability principles in educational settings. Findings highlight disparities in implementation, where some international schools have fully embedded sustainability in curricula, extracurricular activities, and school operations, while others struggle due to policy inconsistencies, resource constraints, lack of teacher training, and competing academic priorities. The study further explores the role of governance structures, accreditation bodies (e.g., Council of International Schools), and multi-stakeholder engagement in shaping sustainability education within international schools. Comparative case studies reveal that schools with strong policy alignment, administrative commitment, and active student participation tend to achieve more meaningful sustainability outcomes. However, systemic challenges such as financial limitations, resistance to curricular reforms, and the absence of standardized sustainability assessment metrics hinder broader policy success

A Reinforcement Learning Agent for UAV Control: Mathematical Foundations, Implementation, and Human-vs-AI Benchmarking

In this work, we propose a novel deep reinforcement learning (DRL) agent architecture for fully autonomous UAV control that fuses real-time sensor fusion with advanced multi-objective reward shaping to achieve robust flight dynamics under varied environmental conditions. We begin by defining the system’s decision-making process as a partially observable Markov decision process (POMDP), wherein the UAV’s state space encapsulates high-dimensional sensor inputs, including LIDAR point clouds, inertial measurement unit (IMU) data, and geospatial telemetry, while the agent’s action space is composed of continuous motor velocity commands. Our learning algorithm employs a hierarchical policy gradient method with parallelizable sub-policies dedicated to tasks such as obstacle avoidance, trajectory planning, and energy conservation. Each sub-policy is trained using a variant of proximal policy optimization (PPO) that is adapted to dynamic flight constraints through Lagrangian relaxation techniques and enforced via real-time on-policy updates

Health and Well Being of the Population in the Context of Sustainable Development

Health and well-being are fundamental to a thriving and sustainable society. Health encompasses physical, mental, and social well-being, while well-being reflects quality of life shaped by balanced psychological and physiological states. This paper examines the relationship between environmental conditions, economic growth, and social determinants, emphasizing the role of sustainable development in fostering public health. As global challenges such as climate change, urbanization, and resource depletion escalate, the connection between a healthy population and a resilient environment becomes more evident. Clean air, safe water, and nutritious food are essential in preventing non-communicable diseases like cardiovascular ailments, diabetes, and respiratory disorders. Additionally, socio-economic disparities hinder access to healthcare, exacerbating health inequities. This study highlights the impact of integrated approaches, such as green infrastructure, sustainable agriculture, and community-led microfinance, in advancing both economic and environmental goals. Aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals—particularly SDG 3 (good health and well-being) and SDG 11 (sustainable cities and communities)—can drive systemic change and improve health outcomes. Public health measures, including vaccination programs, routine screenings, and equitable healthcare access, are crucial in preventing disease burdens. Ultimately, sustainable development is not just an environmental responsibility but a comprehensive strategy to enhance health, economic growth, and social equity. A holistic approach to health and sustainability is essential to building a resilient future where human and ecological wellbeing coexist

Linguistic Principles of Creating aDatabase of Uzbek English Linguistic Terms

In world linguistics, there is always a question of creating terms became relevant and this issue has not lost its importance even today. In this article, linguistic creation principles of a database of English and Uzbek linguistic terms are defined. Everyforeign language learner in the process of learning any languages uses dictionaries. Each dictionary belongs to some fields such as linguistic, economic, medical and so on. Additionally, the article is devoted to investigate historical development of lexicography and dictionaries in the English and Uzbek languages. The article describes development of both English and Uzbek language lexicography included into dictionaries. Some methods like observation and comparison is used to reveal differences and similarities of terminology and dictionaries. Much attention is paid to the classification of dictionaries and the characteristics of the main types of dictionaries in English and Uzbek. The structure of dictionaries and entries are analyzed on the material of dictionaries in both languages. English and Uzbek lexicography comparison is carried out at the end of the article. There are also comments on the need for online dictionaries in the Uzbek language. The issue of creating a terminological database (TBD) andthe creation of Uzbek online dictionary are illustrated as an urgent task today
