DATASET MIGRATED FROM FIGSHARE: This study provides insight into interpersonal behaviour and supportive communication as two aspects of pupils' face-to-face promotive interactions(FtFPI). Sixteen pupils 9–10 years of age were videotaped in four structured mixed-ability groups during CL sessions. Using a thematic hybrid approach, the study found that pupils used verbal and non-verbal features for co-learners’ responsive actions during FtFPI. However, the findings also revealed some factors that interfere with the pupils’ FtFPI, such as having insufficient knowledge and personal skills about peer attention, encouragement and praising.AbstractPromoting pupils’ face-to-face promotive interaction (FtFPI) is crucial for effective cooperative learning (CL) in group work. Sixteen pupils 9–10 years of age were videotaped in four structured mixed-ability groups during CL sessions at two primary schools in post-war Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). The features of FtFPI that pupils use for peer support in small CL groups and on interfering factors that pupils encounter during FtFPI were analysed using a thematic hybrid approach. The study found that pupils used verbal and non-verbal features for co-learners’ responsive actions during FtFPI. However, the findings also revealed some factors that interfere with the pupils’ FtFPI, such as having insufficient knowledge and personal skills about peer attention, encouragement and praising. The study recommends that future studies should implement the intervention necessary to foster both teachers’ and pupils’ understanding and functional knowledge of FtFPI for successful small CL groups.</p

DATASET MIGRATED FROM FIGSHARE: Article Abstract - Related PublicationEnvironmental DNA (eDNA) is an increasingly used non-invasive and cost-effective method for species detections in surveillance studies. The myxozoan endoparasite Tetracapsuloides bryosalmonae is the causative agent of proliferative kidney disease (PKD) in salmonid fish. PKD is a potential lethal disease of freshwater salmonids when water temperatures exceed 12-14oC for prolonged periods, and periodically high mortality and decline in farmed and wild salmonid populations in Europe and North America have been reported in the last decades. The aim of this study was to use eDNA as a method to detect Tetracapsuloides bryosalmonae from large, deep, dimictic Norwegian lakes. Such habitats are expected to become increasingly important for cold-water salmonids as climate warms. The samples were collected from five lakes in southeastern Norway, and parasite DNA was detected by qPCR. The limit of detection (LOD), the target DNA concentration needed to give a positive result in 9 of 10 reactions, was determined. eDNA from T. bryosalmonae was detected above the LOD-level in four of the five lakes surveyed. When including sub-LOD positive samples, results indicated presence of T. bryosalmonae in all five lakes. These findings corresponded with the detection of T. bryosalmonae DNA in salmonid-kidneys in four of the lakes in a previous survey. The detection of parasites from eDNA varied between years and stations within the same lake, revealing a changing and apparently stochastic spatial distribution of parasite DNA from year to year. Even with positive detections of T. bryosalmonae by eDNA, this method will not be able to reveal dynamics between the different parasite hosts or detect different susceptibility between salmonid species, as could be indicated from analyses of fish tissue. Strategies for eDNA sampling in deep, dimictic lakes are discussed.</p

DATASET MIGRATED FROM FIGSHARE: The REMOTE Panel is a four wave longitudinal dataset collected from over 3500 Norwegian employees over the course of 2022 to capture their experiences with remote and hybrid work arrangements.
The dataset is licensed under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 for non-commercial use only. Note that the data will not be shared as long as the REMOTE project is ongoing, and all use of the data until the project is completed must be through REMOTE with one or more of the project members involved.

The relative effectiveness of the treatments was evaluated using a factorial design with the application of weekly hand-picking, and formalin treatments at 380 ppm for 13 minutes three times weekly as factors. The effects of the treatments on total mortality and hatching success were compared using a two-way ANOVA. Both treatments exhibited significant, positive effects on egg survival. Hand-picking during the eyed stage (+ 0.5 to 2.5 % survival to hatch) was found to be more effective than formalin treatments before (+ 0.0004 to 0.8 % survival to hatch). This is likely due to differences in the timing of administration of the treatments. The dataset contains replication data for the research paper "Multiple signal classification as a blind reconstruction approach for three-dimensional structured illumination microscopy" (3DSIM). The paper compares image reconstructions using conventional 3DSIM and two variants of "Multiple signal classification algorithm" (MUSICAL), MUS-S and MUS-CE.
This dataset provides 1 image generated of mitochondria in living cells, 1 image of mitochondria in fixed cells, 1 image of nephrin in fixed murine kidney tissue using 3DSIM, MUS-S and MUS-CE. The 3DSIM raw data and reconstructions for H9c2 cells are available from https://doi.org/10.18710/PDCLAS.
Four different types of image data are included:

Replication Data for: "Ranking the Benefits of Early Contractor Involvement in Infrastructure Projects from the Client’s Perspective".
With the rising popularity of collaborative project delivery models to deliver infrastructure projects, there has been a growing interest in the possibility of integrating contractors in the pre-construction phase of the project using Early Contractor Involvement (ECI). However, previous studies on the effects of ECI did not consider whether the benefits observed were the intended effects that motivated the client to use ECI. This study aimed to investigate which potential benefits of ECI are significant from the client's perspective. We asked participants from a client organization to rank the potential benefits of ECI using pairwise comparison and the results from this were compiled using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. Our findings show that the benefits expected by the client organization are moderated by what motivated the client to use ECI in the first place. Overall, the ability to influence innovation in the project and to reduce the execution time are seen as the most desired benefits for the client. This result will allow contractors to get a clearer picture of what they need to focus on to maximize the benefits that the clients expect the most out of ECI.

Replication Data for: A Study on the Conceptual Structure of the Use of Prepositions in the Complement of Goal-oriented Motion Verbs in Brazilian Portuguese
This dataset consists in replication data for the study “A Study on the Conceptual Structure of the Use of Prepositions in the Complement of Goal-oriented Motion Verbs in Brazilian Portuguese”, in which based on a usage-feature analysis and using corpus-based and multivariate statistical methods, we analyze the use of the prepositions a ‘at’, para ‘to’, and em ‘in’ to introduce the complement of ir ‘to go’, vir ‘to come’ and chegar ‘to arrive’ in BP. The results show that there is a tendency for the use of a ‘at’ in the most formal and monitored register. The factors ‘profiling’ and ‘verb’ are the most important language-internal predictors. Action and neutral profiled events are more associated with the use of para ‘to’, while locative profiled events are more associated with the use of em ‘in’. The verb chegar ‘to arrive’ is more associated with the use of em ‘in’. We highlight that (i) the variation investigated has a cognitive basis, in addition to the linguistic and extralinguistic acting factors pointed out by previous studies, and (ii) the variation of prepositions conveys alternative construals; thus, the very high frequency of em ‘in’ next to the goal-oriented motion verbs indicates nuances of meaning motivated by the superimposition of image schemas and the cognitive operation of profiling.
This dataset consists of 459 occurrences of goal-oriented motion verbs in Brazilian Portuguese (ir ‘to go’, vir ‘to come’ or chegar ‘to arrive’) manually annotated according to a set of linguistic, social and cognitive factors. Data were extracted from four BP corpora: (i) C-Oral-Brasil (263,000 words), which includes spontaneous oral language transcripts; (ii) Blogs_Foruns (263,772 words), which includes BP forums from written informal language; (iii) TecEM (234,717 words), which includes texts written by teenagers students during their BP classes in high school; and (iv) Corpus Brasileiro (CB), which consists of only texts classified as journalistic (250,700,829 words) and includes texts from Brazilian newspapers.
The archive contains data in an Unicode-encoded text file (Dataset_Motion_Verb_Prep.csv), the statistical analysis script in a txt (R_script_Motion_Verbs_Prep.txt), and a Read Me data in a txt file (00_readme.txt).Methodological information: The four subcorpora were selected to have a sample composed of occurrences with different levels of monitoring, representing a continuum from formal written texts (newspaper/CB) to spontaneous speech (C-Oral), passing through school texts (TecEM) and informal written texts (Blogs_Foruns).
This study exclusively considered the constructions that followed the structure “verb (ir ‘to go’, vir ‘to come’ or chegar ‘to arrive’) + {0 up to 3 words} + preposition (a ‘at’, para ‘to’ or em ‘in’) + complement”. First, a random sample of 300 occurrences of each subcorpus was generated through a concordance search; then, the tokens that for some reason did not follow the inclusion criteria were excluded (e.g., sentences in which a was an article and not a preposition, meaning ‘the’ instead of ‘at’; sentences in which the motion verb was an auxiliar and not the main verb). The final dataset consists of 459 tokens.</p
Replication data for: High sensitivity to dietary imidacloprid exposure in early life stages of Folsomia quadrioculata (Collembola) populations from contrasting climates
This study was conducted as a part of the MULTICLIM project (project number 280843; ttps://www.mn.uio.no/ibv/english/research/sections/aqua/research-projects/144612/) financed by the Research Council of Norway. Survival of early life stages is critical for population growth. Understanding the vulnerability of these sensitive stages can therefore improve ecological risk predictions. The globally-used neonicotinoid insecticide imidacloprid does not degrade easily in soil and occurs at concentrations potentially toxic to non-target soil organisms, such as Collembola. Here, we studied the effects of dietary exposure to imidacloprid on the survival of juveniles in an arctic and a temperate population of Folsomia quadrioculata (Collembola), a commonly-occurring litter-dwelling species in the Northern Hemisphere. The exposure lasted from <24 h to 30 d since hatching at 15C. We assessed whether (1) the arctic population with faster development rates could be more vulnerable than the temperate population, (2) cumulative mortality could increase substantially with exposure time, and (3) the mortality risk experienced from <24 h since hatching and spanning a major part of the juvenile stage could be greater than that experienced by the adults. We found a strong concentration-dependent decline in survival in both populations, with small but significantly different LC50s, despite large differences in multiple life-history traits. Applying a General Unified Threshold model for Survival (GUTS) showed a low threshold for effects, slow damage dynamics, a 6–11-fold decrease in LC50 from 14 to 30 days of exposure, and saturation of damage at the three highest concentrations. In addition, exposure starting soon after hatching caused much more mortality than that starting in the adult stages. Our findings suggest that toxicity tests not emphasizing the neonate stages or not lasting long enough can underestimate the implications for populations of naturally abundant non-target organisms
