Replication Data for: Regularized Feature Selection Landscapes: An Empirical Study of Multimodality
This dataset contains replication data for the paper Regularized Feature Selection Landscapes: An Empirical Study of Multimodality. It contains accuracy tables of well-known classification datasets from The UCI Machine Learning Repository.
These tables comprise the accuracy for all feature subsets, i.e., all column combinations, obtained by a decision tree classifier, with different levels of regularization.
The decision tree classifier is provided by the BetaML.jl package for the Julia programming language, and uses the default parameters: max_depth=0 (no limits) min_gain=0.0, min_records=2, max_features=0 (consider all features), splitting_criterion=BetaML.Utils.gini, (Gini impurity index), and rng = Random.GLOBAL_RNG (no set seed for random number generation)
Replication Data for: Intercorrelations of Chlorinated Paraffins, Dechloranes, and Legacy Persistent Organic Pollutants in 10 Species of Marine Mammals from Norway, in Light of Dietary Niche

Short-, medium-, and long-chain chlorinated paraffins (CPs) (SCCPs, MCCPs, and LCCPs) and dechloranes are chemicals of emerging concern; however, little is known of their bioaccumulative potential compared to legacy contaminants in marine mammals. Here, we analyzed SCCPs, MCCPs, LCCPs, 7 dechloranes, 4 emerging brominated flame retardants, and 64 legacy contaminants, including polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), in the blubber of 46 individual marine mammals, representing 10 species, from Norway. Dietary niche was modeled based on stable isotopes of nitrogen and carbon in the skin/muscle to assess the contaminant accumulation in relation to diet. SCCPs and dechlorane-602 were strongly positively correlated with legacy contaminants and highest in killer (Orcinus orca) and sperm (Physeter macrocephalus) whales (median SCCPs: 160 ng/g lw; 230 ng/g lw and median dechlorane-602: 3.8 ng/g lw; 2.0 ng/g lw, respectively). In contrast, MCCPs and LCCPs were only weakly correlated to recalcitrant legacy contaminants and were highest in common minke whales (Balaenoptera acutorostrata; median MCCPs: 480 ng/g lw and LCCPs: 240 ng/g lw). The total contaminant load in all species was dominated by PCBs and legacy chlorinated pesticides (63–98%), and MCCPs dominated the total CP load (42–68%, except 11% in the long-finned pilot whale Globicephala melas). Surprisingly, we found no relation between contaminant concentrations and dietary niche, suggesting that other large species differences may be masking effects of diet such as lifespan or biotransformation and elimination capacities. CP and dechlorane concentrations were higher than in other marine mammals from the (sub)Arctic, and they were present in a killer whale neonate, indicating bioaccumulative properties and a potential for maternal transfer in these predominantly unregulated chemicals

Questionnaire dataset about user experience of an autonomous ferry
Questionnaire responses (N = 146 respondents) saved as text (comma-separated). Consists of 46 question items across four categories: (i) demographics (ii) user experience (iii) passenger attitudes (iv) feedback on ferry’s characteristics. Responses were provided voluntarily using a digital survey tool during public trials of the “milliAmpere2” in Trondheim, Norway, held between 25 June to 24 August, 2024. The "milliAmpere2" is an autonomous urban ferry owned and operated by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU)
Replication Data for: CAPTIV8 : A comprehensive large scale CAPsule endoscopy dataset for Integrated diagnosis
General description and ethics approvals:
The dataset contains images and videos of wireless capsule endoscopic examinations of 10 patients focused on the large colon conducted using the PillCAM colon 2 capsule manufactured by Medtronic. In addition to images and videos it includes alphanumeric metadata comprising of diagnostic summaries from capsule endoscopy, colonoscopy and histopathology reports. The dataset includes 8 different types of pathologies in addition to symptoms of ulcerative colitis.
The examinations were conducted in 2021 at the Innlandet Hospital Trust, Gjøvik (Norway) with confirmed patients of ulcerative colitis. All patients gave written informed consent and ethical approvals to publish the anonymized image, video and text data were obtained from the director of medicine and health at Innlandet Hospital Trust in 2021. Patient information was not linked to the study to preseve anonymity and pseudo IDs were assigned instead.
Data acquistion procedure :
The patients underwent capsule endoscopy examination on the first day followed by a colonoscopy the next day. Tissue samples were retrieved during colonoscopy from different bowel segments and sent for histopathology. The histopathology report corresponds to 5 sections of the colon numbered 1 to 5, these can be interpreted as such : 1 : cecum/ascending 2: transverse 3: descending, 4: sigmoid, 5 rectum.
Annotation procedures:
The annotations were performed by experienced gastroenetrologist in the software Rapid reader. Clean and representative normal as well as abnormal frames were selected in the video and a text describing the images was written corresponding to the images. A short video segment of approximately 150 frames each was extracted around each of these normal/abnormal images. These are available in the dataset.
The video can be assumed to carry the same weak-label as the frame. Certain video fragments have been cut to be shorter than 150 frames intentionally to prevent accidental identification pre or post capsule ingestion
Replication Data for: The professional profile, competence, and responsiveness of senior bureaucrats: A paired survey experiment with citizens and elite respondents
This dataset includes the treatment and outcome variables of a survey experiment conducted among citizens, elected representatives, and central government administrators as part of the KODEM_DEMO pilot conducted in winter/spring 2020/2021 (https://www.uib.no/en/digsscore/150821/kodemdemo). The code (STATA do-file) allows for a full replication of the core analyses.

The study investigates the effects of seasonal temperature differences and weeks, years, and decades of soil warming on the microbial protein biosynthesis machineries (i.e., ribosomes), the most abundant cellular macromolecular complexes, using RNA:DNA and RNA:MBC (microbial biomass carbon) ratios as proxies for cellular ribosome contents.
It is recommended to execute the R-scripts in their given order (file numbers).

The two tables contains the necessary data to replicate the study "Acute effects of copper exposure and predation risk in five coastal copepods".
In short, we tested for copper effects on survival in the presence and absence of kairomones (to mimic predation) in five species from three orders of coastal copepods. We exposed adult copepods to four copper concentrations (0-1350 µg/L, 48h) on an automated imaging platform and analyzed survival over time. The methods are described in detail in the publication
