    Appliance-Level Electricity Consumption Dataset

    No full text
This dataset contains appliance-level electricity consumption measurements from a 2-person household in Northern Norway, collected over 24 days with 3,296 total measurements at 10-minute intervals. The data provides detailed insights into energy consumption patterns of various household appliances including electric vehicle charging station, heat pump, hot water tank, floor heating systems, dishwasher, stove, and electric oven. The dataset is representative of typical Northern Norwegian residential settings, characterized by electric heating dominance and modern appliance installations. This data was used in PhD thesis research on machine learning-based flexible and intelligent energy distribution systems for residential buildings and has been referenced in multiple peer-reviewed publications

Diachronic emergence of German universal concessive conditionals with wh-clause-initial marking

    No full text
These are the data analysed in Chapter 7 of Vander Haegen's dissertation entitled "Konstruktionsgrammatik und Variation. Eine Mikrotypologie universaler Irrelevanzgefüge im Gegenwartsdeutschen" (for a full reference, see "Related Publication" metadata field). The dataset contains German construction types in which an expression of irrelevance such as "egal", "gleichgültig" or "wurscht" (all: 'no matter') is followed by the wh word "was" 'what' or "wer" 'who', including the oblique forms of the latter ("wessen" 'whose', "wem" 'to.whom', "wen" 'whom'). The construction types under scrutiny can be arranged along a cline with two end points, illustrated in 1. and 2. below: Es ist egal, was ich bin, ich bin ich. 'It doesn't matter who I am, I am me.' Lit.: 'It is no.matter who ...' Egal was ich bin, ich bin ich. 'No matter who I am, I am me.' In 1., the irrelevance expression "egal" 'no matter' appears as a predicative within a copular clause that embeds a wh interrogative. The copular clause is paratactically linked to the clause 'I am me'. In 2., however, the irrelevance expression functions as the introduction to an adverbial subclause, which is hypotactically linked to the clause 'I am me'. The construction type in 1. will henceforth be referred to as a "clause complex with an irrelevance predicate" (cf. Leuschner 2006: 77); the construction type in 2. is known as a "universal concessive conditional" (or UCC for short, cf. inter alia Haspelmath/König 1998: 563f.). The dataset was compiled in the context of a doctoral dissertation project which sought to, inter alia, trace the macro- and microdiachronic emergence of German UCCs as in 2. from clause complexes with irrelevance predicates as in 1. To this end, two samples were exported: a macrodiachronic sample covering the time period 1609–1948 and a microdiachronic one covering the time period 1947–2018. The macrodiachronic sample consists of N = 1463 tokens from the DWDS historical metacorpus; the macrodiachronic sample consists of N = 24,113 tokens from the German Reference Corpus DeReKo that were originally collected by Vander Haegen (2023). The full samples (including the corpus data) and the samples including only ID numbers and annotations (to facilitate processing with statistical software) are shared in four separate .csv-files. An R Markdown file with the data analysis and an html file with the R code and output are shared as well. </p

Conifer proportion (of AGB) (P_Con) map for 2020

    No full text
This dataset provides a high-resolution (10 m) pan-European map of forest Conifer proportion (of AGB) (P_Con) for the year 2020, along with an accompanying standard deviation layer. It is part of the PathFinder collection of forest structure maps, which integrates Sentinel-2 satellite imagery, auxiliary geospatial layers, and National Forest Inventory (NFI) data to deliver detailed forest attribute predictions across Europe. The map supports applications in forest management, biomass estimation, carbon accounting, and ecological modeling. For methodology and data integration details, see the documentation dataset of the PathFinder collection (https://doi.org/10.18710/OEYKEG) and the following publication: Miettinen, J., Breidenbach, J. et al. Diet data for Atlantic cod (Gadus morhua), saithe (Pollachius virens), haddock (Melanogrammus aeglefinus), Atlantic herring (Clupea harengus) and long rough dab (Hippoglossoides platessoides) from Ullsfjord and Soerfjord in Troms County, Norway, during 1992-1996

Diet data for Atlantic cod (Gadus morhua), saithe (Pollachius virens), haddock (Melanogrammus aeglefinus), Atlantic herring (Clupea harengus) and long rough dab (Hippoglossoides platessoides) from Ullsfjord and Soerfjord in Troms County, Norway, during 1992-1996. The data was collected and analysed as part of a project investigating possibilities for sea ranching of released reared cod juveniles. The fish were sampled using bottom trawl. Proportions wet weight of various prey groups were estimated based on stomach analysis. The data is used in the publication: Pedersen, T., Nilsen, M., Nilssen, E.M., Berg, E., Reigstad, M. 2008. Trophic model of a lightly exploited cod-dominated ecosystem. Ecological Modelling 214: 95-111. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ecolmodel.2007.12.01

Diet of blue whiting (Micromesistius poutassou), glacier lanternfish (Benthosema glaciale), Norway pout (Trisopterus esmarkii) and pearlside (Maurolicus muelleri) in two northern Norwegian fjords

    No full text
Dry weight diet data for blue whiting (Micromesistius poutassou), glacier lanternfish (Benthosema glaciale), Norway pout (Trisopterus esmarkii) and pearlside (Maurolicus muelleri) from samples collected in Vestfjorden and Vesterålsfjorden in April 2024. The purpose of this data collection and analysis was to investigate the diet of fish species in Northern Norway, both to supplement data for some species, but also to study the diet of species where data are scarce. For the four studied species, individuals were selected for stomach analysis if they were in good condition and without an inverted stomach. Predator lengths were measured for all species, and predator weights were measured for blue whiting and Norway pout. Based on visual analysis, different prey groups found in the stomach content were separated and identified to the most detailed taxonomic level as possible. For each fish sample of the four studied species, identified prey group heaps from a fish sample were dried and weighed.<p

Replication Data for: Evolution of sustainability logic: Arctic Cruise tourism

    No full text
This dataset accompanies the article Evolution of Sustainability Logic: Arctic Cruise Tourism and supports a multi-source discourse analysis on how sustainability logic has evolved in the Arctic cruise sector. It includes three interrelated datasets: (1) a coded matrix of 181 media articles from Norwegian press (2015–2024) focused on Hurtigruten and sustainability, (2) metadata on media sources, and (3) a structured inventory of Hurtigruten’s annual and ESG reports from 2017 to 2023. The dataset enables qualitative and automated content analysis using Fairclough’s critical discourse framework, Leximancer topic modeling, and correspondence analysis. All data were collected from publicly available sources and structured for replication and longitudinal examination.<p

A 3D-model corpus of northern norwegian cruciform brooches from the migration period

    No full text
A corpus of 3D-scanned cruciform brooches from northern Norway, excluding regions south of Rana. The dataset includes 123 high-resolution (0.1 mm) meshed 3D scans where some objects consist of multiple models because of fragmentation. The data set also includes two relief brooches, 8 small migration period brooches and some objects found together with relief brooches at the key site Skogøya in Nordland municipality (bucket shaped pottery, bird pins and a knife). Both meta- and paradata for the objects are documented in the enclosed table (Model_list.csv).The cruciform brooches are among the most numerous and important prestige artifact categories from the migration period in Norway. This dataset includes all the northernmost brooches within the district of The Arctic University Museum of Norway
