Influence of Social Media on Self-Esteem and Self-Awareness among 8th-grade Students
The primary aim of this research study was to investigate and analyze the influence of social media usage on self-esteem and self-awareness among 8th-grade students at Pangasinan National High School. It utilized a quantitative research design to determine the impact of social media on self-esteem and self-awareness among the respondents. The quantitative approach used a survey questionnaire checklist to collect the numeric data from the students. The result indicates that the most common platform, Facebook, has a range of 3 to 4 hours per day, with a frequency of 33, then the least common one is Snapchat, with a range of 1 hour or less, with a frequency. Self-esteem and Self-awareness levels of 8th-grade students were analyzed using Pearson, and the results obtained were interpreted to indicate that the correlation coefficient is equal to [0.58]. Based on the summary of findings from the study, it can be concluded that the levels of self-esteem and self-awareness as perceived by the 8th-grade students are moderate. Moreover, they point to the engagement of the students in social media in a way that enhances their self-image without becoming orderly and dependent on external validation. On the other hand, the students derive a large portion of their self-worth from online interactions, which may lead to heightened self-esteem or increased vulnerability to negative feedback
The Influence of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in Addressing Bullying Behavior among Seventh Grade Students : A Case Study at a Faith-based Private High School, Gowa, Indonesia
This study investigates the effectiveness of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) in reducing bullying behavior among seventh-grade students at a Faith-based Private High School, Gowa, Indonesia. Utilizing a quantitative associative research design, the study examines the relationship between CBT implementation and changes in students’ behavioral patterns. The sample was selected using purposive sampling techniques, with data collected through validated and reliable questionnaires. The results of the t-test revealed a significant negative effect of CBT on bullying behavior, while the F-test confirmed the overall model's significance. These findings demonstrate that CBT can effectively restructure distorted cognitions and reduce aggressive tendencies in school settings. The intervention not only addresses the cognitive and emotional aspects of bullying but also supports the development of a healthier classroom climate. The study contributes to the growing body of evidence supporting CBT as a practical and impactful approach in school-based mental health and behavioral interventions. Further research is encouraged to evaluate the long-term effects and scalability of CBT within diverse educational contexts
Transformation of Islamic Educational Institution Curriculum to Improve Learning Outcomes in Facing the Challenges of Industrial Society

Fostering Effective School Leadership for Disciplined Excellence
This study aims to investigate the impact of the principal's leadership style on teacher discipline levels at SD Negeri 2 Wameo, Baubau, Indonesia. The study employs a quantitative research method, with a total of 37 respondents in the population and the same number of respondents in the sample. The data collection methods include questionnaires and documentation, and the analytical method used in this research is simple linear analysis. The findings of the research show that there is a significant influence between the principal's leadership style and teacher discipline levels. The calculated t-value (3.060) is greater than the t-table value (1.689) and has a significant probability value of 0.04 which is less than 0.05. Therefore, the principal's leadership style has an impact on teacher discipline levels at SD Negeri 2 Wameo. The R square value of 0.221 indicates that the principal's leadership style influences teacher discipline levels by 22.1%, while the remaining 77.9% is affected by other factors that the researchers did not test
STEM-CTL: An Initiative to Promote Elementary School Students’ Critical Thinking Skills
The present study employed a quasi-experimental, one-group pretest-posttest design to examine the effectiveness of the STEM-CTL model in promoting critical thinking among elementary school students. The study sample consisted of 34 students from 4th grade at an elementary school. They were selected using the non-probability sampling technique. The independent research variable was STEM-CTL, while the dependent variables consisted of critical thinking aspects, including the ability to formulate a problem, the ability to give arguments, the ability to make deductions and inductions, and the ability to draw inferences. Data on participants’ critical thinking were collected using a test and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics (paired sample t-test). The analysis results revealed a significant effect of STEM-CTL on participants’ critical thinking skills (at a significance level of 0.000 > 0.05). Hence, H0 was rejected, and Ha was accepted. The N-gain score was medium (0.63), indicating that STEM-CTL effectively promoted critical thinking skills among elementary school students
Exploring the Relationship between Academic Achievement and Emotional Intelligence in Upper Primary School Students
This study investigates the relationship between academic achievement and emotional intelligence among upper primary school students. The research, conducted in SD Negeri 1 Rukuwa, Sulawesi Tenggara, explores the levels of emotional intelligence and learning success among 48 participants. The findings reveal that most students exhibit moderate emotional intelligence while learning success is distributed across low, moderate, and high categories. Statistical analyses, including correlation coefficients and regression models, indicate a limited impact of emotional intelligence on academic achievement. The results suggest that other factors such as attention, interest, talent, maturity, preparation, intelligence, and logical intelligence may significantly influence learning success. The study contributes valuable insights into the complex interplay between emotional intelligence and upper primary education academic achievement
