Examining the Impediments Impacting the Employability of Office Administration Graduates within Legal Offices
This study investigates the impediments of office administration graduates seeking employment within legal offices, employing the descriptive survey method and utilizing statistical tools such as the weighted mean and ranking method. Data were collected from 50 graduates of Camarines Norte State College, as well as employers and stenographers from legal offices. The findings highlight a significant obstacle faced by office administration graduates: a lack of relevant internships and experience within legal settings, impeding their employment prospects within the legal sector. These results underscore the necessity for closer collaboration between academic institutions and legal offices to facilitate tailored internships and experiential learning opportunities. Additionally, integrating practical training modules into the curriculum is crucial to better prepare graduates for the demands of the legal profession. The implications of these findings extend to policymakers and educational stakeholders, emphasizing the importance of proactive measures to bridge the gap between academic training and industry requirements and enhance the employability of office administration graduates within legal offices
The Role of the Work Environment and Organizational Communication in Increasing Work Morale and Job Satisfaction in Government Institutions
In the face of intense global competition, job satisfaction plays a crucial role in employee productivity and retention, influenced by both individual and organizational factors such as the work environment and organizational communication. A supportive work environment and effective communication boost employee morale and positively impact job satisfaction. This study explores how the work environment and organizational communication contribute to job satisfaction, with work morale acting as a mediating variable, using data from 92 Government Institution Employee X respondents collected through a purposive sampling technique. A 5-point Likert scale questionnaire analyzed with SPSS 21 reveals that the work environment and organizational communication significantly influence work morale and job satisfaction, while work morale mediates their impact on job satisfaction. The findings suggest that the institution should prioritize fostering a supportive work environment and enhancing internal communication to improve employee morale and overall job satisfaction
Tracer Study on the Profile and Employability of Bachelor of Science: A Case Study of Food Service Management Graduates of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges
This study examines the profile and employability of Bachelor of Science in Food Service Management (BSFSM) graduates from Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC) across three batches (2018–2019, 2019–2020, and 2020–2021). Employing a descriptive survey approach, the study utilized a Google Form questionnaire to collect data from a sample of 168 graduates, selected using Slovin's formula. The research explored the graduates' personal, professional, and employment profiles and their reasons for job retention, acceptance of unrelated jobs, and unemployment. Employer assessments of the graduates' job performance were also analyzed. Key findings reveal the employability trends of BSFSM graduates and the challenges they faced, particularly in light of the economic disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Statistical tools were used to interpret the data, including percentage calculations and weighted mean. The study underscores the importance of aligning curriculum programs with industry demands to enhance graduate outcomes. Recommendations are provided to improve the employability of BSFSM graduates and address identified gaps.
Assessment and Enhancement of Management Practices in Financial Enterprises
The study provides a sound review of the management practices of financial enterprises, identified challenges encountered, and proposes a novel framework to equip financial enterprises to navigate future crises in. Descriptive correlation methodology was used with a validated questionnaire as the main data gathering tool. Results have shown that financial enterprises have been operating for seven years and above; offering loans as the major type of service offered; and, having seven and above employees utilizing computers in day by day transactions. A high extent of practice was perceived along customer focus and retention, followed by risk management, human resources, and operation strategies. Internal and external challenges encountered were focused on customer focus and retention, human resources, operation strategies, and least on risk management. Generally, there is no significant relationship between the management practices and internal and external challenges encountered except for external risk management. It was concluded that the financial enterprises are highly established and has a long exposure to management practices. Furthermore, financial enterprises are challenged with external risk management practices
Assessing the Information and Communication Technology Proficiency of the BSOA Students, Philippines: Gateway to Employee-Ready Graduates
This paper aimed to assess the level of Information and Communication Technology Proficiency among BSOA students, as well as the potential barriers that affected their ICT skills, including hardware operations, software processing, information management, digital communication, and data security and privacy. Additionally, it proposed an intervention program to enhance the Information and Communication Technology proficiency of BSOA students. One hundred twelve (112) 2nd to 4th-year students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA) program at Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges - Buhi Campus were systematically chosen to serve as the respondents. The Descriptive Method was used to attain the objectives. The instrument used in this study was a research-made survey questionnaire for data collection and was interpreted using a weighted mean. The findings revealed that BSOA students' ICT proficiency demonstrates a mixed landscape and exhibits a consistent trend of moderate proficiency in ICT aspects, specifically in hardware operations, software processing, information management, digital communication, and data security and privacy
