Markey Holds Slim Lead Over Moulton in Massachusetts Senate Dem Primary 11/24/2025

    No full text
Incumbent Democratic Senator Ed Markey holds only a small lead over Representative Seth Moulton in the race for the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate in 2026. Potential candidates who have not officially announced their candidacy, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu and Representative Ayanna Pressley, are very popular among likely primary voters. State residents are divided on a proposal to allow people to buy and consume marijuana in the same space if the vendor has a special license while they support a ban on tests for marijuana use as a condition for employment. Housing and the cost of living are cited most often as the most important problem facing the state

    Body Rumors: Poems

    No full text
Body Rumors: Poems is a collection that blends the jumbled, transitory experiences of young adulthood with recalled horrors from childhood. Body Rumors confronts a personal history of childhood sexual abuse and examines how violence persists in the nervous system for decades. The collection traces the culture of silence from my upbringing in Opus Dei and interrogates how that culture informed later experiences with intimate partner violence. Other themes include chronic pain, gender identity, illness, and queerness. These thirty-six poems employ a range of poetic forms, including a sestina, a villanelle, and an “Etymology” form of my own invention. There are multiple obsessive series that run through the collection, notably the “spontaneous recovery” poems which mark the beginnings of the five sections

Enhancing Alumni Data Integrity and Collection Practices at the College for Social Innovation

    No full text
The College for Social Innovation (CFSI) is an educational nonprofit that provides 15-week credited social sector internship programs for undergraduate and gap year students. To assess program impact and support strategic decision-making, donor engagement, program improvement, and recruitment initiatives, CFSI collects alumni outcome data through two FormAssembly surveys integrated with their Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP). However, organizational and data infrastructure changes taking place from 2020-2021 created a misalignment between FormAssembly and NPSP data structures, resulting in inconsistent field types, variable naming conventions, data mapping errors, and duplicate records entering the NPSP from 2021-onward. Compounded by the issue of low survey response rates, CFSI is unable to confidently monitor alumni trajectories, assess program effectiveness, or communicate accurate impact outcomes to stakeholders. This report explores a three-stage data recovery and governance strategy which utilizes short-term data restoration, long-term system stabilization, and improved data collection practices to resolve CFSI’s alumni outcome data challenges. Short-term data restoration initiatives, such as Salesforce Data Loader, Salesforce Duplicate Management tools, and third-party deduplication tools can be used to export, clean, standardize, and reintegrate historical data. Long-term system stabilization will be supported through data governance practices, instructional toolkits, employee training initiatives, and biannual data audits. Finally, improved data collection practices using Salesforce Campaigns automation, incentives, and networking connections are recommended to improve survey completion rates. Together, these interventions enhance data integrity, sustainability, and reporting reliability, enabling CFSI to generate valuable alumni outcome insights, conduct cross-year comparative analysis, improve donor engagement, and support organizational goals

Integrating Generative AI into DS 774/874 & Graduate IS/Analytics Education

    No full text
The widespread availability of generative artificial intelligence has weakened traditional assessment methods in Information Systems and Business Analytics education. In DS 774/874, AI and Emerging Technologies in Business (formerly E-Business) at the University of New Hampshire, auto-graded assignments and presentation-based deliverables no longer reliably indicate student understanding, as AI can generate correct or polished outputs with minimal engagement. Using DS 774/874 as a case study, this paper combines course analysis, evidence from business analytics education research, and a targeted review of peer and aspirational programs to examine how AI is being incorporated into IS and analytics curricula. The paper proposes practical course design changes that emphasize verification, process, and defensible reasoning while allowing responsible AI use, offering a framework that can be applied across IS and analytics courses at the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics
