Additionally, from January to June of 2021 and January to June of 2022, Divaina, Aruna, Mawbima, Lankadeepa and Dinamina have increasingly committed the ethical violation of not publishing helplines when reporting on suicide.
Meanwhile, from January to August 2022, Daily Mirror, Ceylon Today and The Morning showed commendable reporting by publishing helplines when reporting on suicide. In addition to these, Daily Mirror displayed commendable reporting by publishing a helpline when reporting on suicide on 20 September 2022.
Moreover, Ethics Eye published an infographic on 30 September 2022, on media ethics that should be followed when reporting on suicide
