The Outbreak Data page was obtained from Michigan\u27s COVID-19 data page: https://www.michigan.gov/coronavirus/stats/outbreak-reporting.
This report is created by the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services from data self-reported by local health departments. Data is updated every week.
COVID-19 outbreaks are generally defined as two or more cases with a link by place and time indicating a shared exposure outside of a household. Local health departments report the number of new and ongoing outbreaks they are investigating by the setting of the outbreak. New outbreaks are those outbreaks that were first identified during the current reporting week. Ongoing outbreaks are those that had already been identified in previous weeks but have had at least one new associated case reported to the local health department in the last 2 weeks. New and ongoing outbreaks are counted only once (i.e., a new outbreak is not also counted in the ongoing outbreak category). Many factors, including the lack of ability to conduct effective contact tracing in certain settings, may result in significant underreporting of outbreaks. This chart does not provide a complete picture of outbreaks in Michigan and the absence of identified outbreaks in a particular setting in no way provides evidence that, in fact, that setting is not having outbreaks.

The K-12 Aged ISD Reporting page was obtained from Michigan\u27s COVID-19 data page: https://www.michigan.gov/coronavirus/stats/k-to-12-aged-isd-reporting.
This report is created from data reported by the Michigan Disease Surveillance System (MDSS) the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services\u27 web-based communicable disease reporting system. Data is updated every week.
The purpose of the dashboard is to report the 7 day average of COVID-19 cases in Michigan school students aged 5 through 18 at the intermediate school district and school district levels, as well as display trends over time to better illustrate the changing nature of the COVID-19 pandemic. Cases are attributed to an intermediate school district and school district if their listed ages are between 5-18 year and if heir listed address falls within the bounds of the shool district. Individuals who live in one district but attend a school in another, as well as students who attend private school or are homeschooled are not represented.
The report contains two graphs: Michigan Intermediate School District COVID-19 Case Reporting (CLI) and Michigan School District COVID-19 Case Reporting. There is also a weekly public use dataset entitled K-12 Aged ISD Reporting

Addressing Social Determinants of Mental Health to Improve College Access, Retention, and Completion
Addressing non-medical factors that adversely impact mental health, wellness, and academic persistence is important to increasing access to college for vulnerable college students. This systematic review synthesized 63 articles on interventions to address college student SDOMH challenges. Researchers found that SDOMH themes were addressed in intervention studies at different rates, specifically, healthcare access and quality (n = 27, 42.3%), education access and quality (n = 24; 37.5%), social and community context (n = 11; 17.4%), economic stability (n = 3; 4.7%), and neighborhood and built environment (n = 1; 1.6%). Implications for higher education stakeholders conclude
What Does Written Reflection Reveal About Novice Teachers’ Knowledge, Beliefs, and Skills Related to Literacy Assessment?
Assessment of literacy learning has been a long-standing focus for future teachers in elementary education. Teacher educators use ongoing written reflection to promote learning before, during, and after coursework and field experiences. In this study, the researchers examined the effects of ongoing written reflection on two groups of novice teachers’ knowledge, beliefs, and skills about literacy assessment in a semester-long graduate-level literacy assessment course with embedded fieldwork. First, the researchers conducted qualitative and descriptive analyses to examine what novice teachers reflected about in their ongoing written reflections. Second, they conducted comparative analyses to examine the extent to which the two groups differed in what they reflected about. Qualitative and descriptive analysis of written reflections revealed four prominent categories in which novice teachers reflected: (a) content knowledge related to literacy assessment, (b) beliefs about literacy assessment, (c) empathy and perspective-taking in the literacy assessment and instruction process, and (d) instructional planning and decision making. Comparative analyses revealed significant differences between the two groups of novice teachers in all four categories

The COVID Overview page was obtained from Michigan\u27s main COVID-19 page: https://www.michigan.gov/coronavirus/stats.
The State of Michigan is working around the clock to test and treat COVID-19 patients. Below is the most recent data healthcare experts across the state have compiled. COVID case and testing data will be posted once a week on Tuesdays.
This report is provisional and subject to change. City of Detroit and Wayne County are reported separately. MDHHS began tracking probable cases April 5, 2020. FCI indicates federal correctional institute. MDOC indicates Michigan Department of Corrections. Diagnostic tests, including nucleic acid amplification/real-time polymerase chain reaction (NAAT/RT-PCR) and rapid virus antigen detection point of care (POC) tests, look for current infection. Serology (antibody) tests are used to look for the possibility of previous infection.
