Australian ground cover reference sites database package 2014
The ground cover reference sites database contains the data collected from the national network of ground cover reference sites. This data includes site descriptions and the associated field measurements of fractional ground cover. Data were collected across Australia from July 2010 to June 2014 at field sites under grazing and broadacre cropping land uses according to nationally agreed standards (Muir et al. 2011). This database is an update from the 2013 version and now contains published field observations current as at June 2014.Australian ground cover reference sites database 2014: user guide for PostGIS - KeyDocument 01 \r\nPDF detailing Australian ground cover reference sites database design, number of site observations, field collection protocols and SQL functions to query and manipulate the database<br/>Australian ground cover reference sites database 2014: user guide for PostGIS - KeyDocument 02 \r\nMS Word document detailing Australian ground cover reference sites database design, number of site observations, field collection protocols and SQL functions to query and manipulate the database<br/>Australian ground cover reference sites database readme file 2014 - KeyDocument 03 \r\nText file with Australian ground cover reference sites database details including data custodian and collectors, access links, conditions of use, disclaimer, copyright, license, data formats, geographical coverage and contacts<br/>Australian ground cover reference sites database 2014 - Data 02 \r\nZip folder containing PostGIS dump file with site descriptions and field measurements of fractional cover collected between July 2010 and June 2014 at reference sites across Australia. Emergency Relief Provider Outlets
This data shows Emergency Relief providers funded by the Department of Social Services (DSS). Where an organisation has identified multiple outlets at one outlet address the Department has removed duplicate entries.\r\n\r\nEmergency Relief services are delivered by community organisations and help people address immediate basic needs by providing financial and/or material support in times of crisis.\r\n\r\nThe type of assistance offered by each organisation varies, however may include one-off assistance such as:\r\n\r\n* food, transport or chemist vouchers\r\n\r\n* part-payment of utility account/s\r\n\r\n* food parcels or clothing\r\n\r\n* budgeting assistance and/or\r\n\r\n* referrals to other services that help to address underlying causes of financial crisis.\r\n\r\n\r\nThe information has been extracted from data provided to the DSS by the Emergency Relief providers through the FOFMS online funding management portal.\r\n\r\nAs the nature of service delivery varies across regions, some community outreach services may not be reflected in the outlet information. The lead contracting organisation information may be presented in the data where sub-contracted organisations provide services. The address of some services such as those providing support or shelter to women escaping domestic violence have been withheld and outlet latitude/longitude coordinates assigned to the centre point of their SA3.\r\n\r\nFurther information about DSS funded services can be found at the DSS Grants Service Directory: http://serviceproviders.dss.gov.au/Emergency Relief Provider Outlets October 2016 - Emergency Relief Provider Outlets October 2016<br/>
Gardens Without Borders Survey 2022
In urban contexts with growing population density, residents are embracing previously ignored, ‘in-between’ public spaces as offering potential to support greater ecosystem services. Roadside vegetation on street verges (footpaths) can play an important role in contributing to urban ecosystem services and public greenspace.\r\n\r\nTownsville City Council invited residents to complete the Gardens without Borders survey to help inform Council of the aims and goals of our local community and shape upcoming roadmaps for gardening in the urban environment specifically for ‘in-between’ spaces and ‘common-ground’ (public gardens) land spaces.\r\n\r\nPublic consultation regarding Gardens without Borders gathered valuable community feedback on the proposal. \r\n\r\nThis report identifies and captures all feedback associated with the project and serves as a public document to close the loop on the engagement process. The findings contained herein are presented in their entirety and draw no conclusions or recommendations on project or strategy outcomes going forward.\r\nGardens Without Borders Survey 2022 - In urban contexts with growing population density, residents are embracing previously ignored, ‘in-between’ public spaces as offering potential to support greater ecosystem services.
