Overview of the Department of Veterans' Affairs Claiming Channels
The Department of Human Services through [Medicare](https://www.humanservices.gov.au/customer/dhs/medicare) assesses claims and makes payments to medical, hospital and allied health providers who treat eligible veterans, spouses and dependents, on behalf of the [Department of Veterans' Affairs](http://www.dva.gov.au/) (DVA). \r\n \r\nThe Department of Human Services, Medicare and DVA promote electronic claiming as the primary way of doing business with the government. For health professionals, electronic claiming means faster payment times, paperless lodgement of claims, faster reconciliation and more efficient confirmation of patient details. It also means lower administrative costs for the government. \r\n \r\n** Overview of the Department of Veterans' Affairs Claiming Channels dataset** \r\n \r\nThis dataset provides information on the channels used by allied health, medical and hospital providers, to lodge DVA claims for processing by Medicare. The dataset includes details on the volume of services processed via a particular channel and the value of the benefit paid. Further information on the dataset may be found in the metadata accompanying the dataset. \r\n \r\nData is provided in the following formats: \r\n \r\n* Excel/ XLXS : The human readable version of the dataset for the current financial year (2016-2017) will be provided in an individual excel file and will be updated monthly. The human readable files for the 2015-2016 financial year may be found in the zipped excel files. \r\n \r\n\r\n* CSV: The machine readable version of the dataset may be found in the zipped csv file. This contains both monthly and financial year summaries. Catchment Lockyer Creek DTM 2019
\r\nA Digital Terrain Model (DTM) based on a 1m grid of ground levels derived from the 2019 LiDAR survey. A DTM refers to a model of bare earth elevation values based on a grid pattern of 1 metre. 2012 APS employee census
The 2012 APS employee census was administered to all available APS employees. This census approach provides a comprehensive view of the APS and ensures no eligible respondents are omitted from the survey sample, removing sampling bias and reducing sample error. The census' content is designed to establish the views of APS employees on workplace issues such as leadership, learning and development and job satisfaction. The census ran from 8 May to 6 June 2012. Overall, 87,214 APS employees responded to the employee census, a response rate of 55%.\r\n\r\nPlease be aware that the very large number of respondents to the employee census means these files are over 200 mb in size. Downloading and opening these files may take some time.\r\n\r\n_TECHNICAL NOTES_\r\n\r\nThree files are available for download.\r\n\r\n* 2012 APS employee census - Questionnaire: This contains the 2012 APS employee census questionnaire.\r\n* 2012 APS employee census - 5 point dataset.csv: This file contains individual responses to the 2012 APS employee census as clean, tabular data as required by data.gov.au. ## **Abstract** \n\nThis dataset and its metadata statement were supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and are presented here as originally supplied.\n\nShows the locations of species rated as having 'conservation significance' in the Outback region (Gillam and Urban 2013) and have been recorded in the Biological Database of South Australia or the Atlas of Living Australia.\n\n## **Purpose** \n\nTo indicate the locations of species that are rated as having 'conservation significance' in the Outback region.\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nDataset developed for the Lake Eyre Basin Bioregional Assessment: Context statement for the Arckaringa subregion. Ratings; Gillam S and Urban R (2013) Regional Species Conservation Assessment Project, Phase 1 Report: Regional Species Status Assessments, Outback Region. Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources, South Australia. Galilee groundwater data October 2016 v3
## **Abstract** \n\nThis dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme. The parent datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.\n\n\n\nThis dataset is a subset of the QLD bore data (c4110cd3-5053-4830-8ad1-533ecd2e67c9) for the Galilee Assesment extent with Assets and drawdown data attached.\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nData from the following source datasheets within the QLD groundwater database were used: Registrations, Casing, Aquifer, Stratigraphy, Pump test and water levels. \n\nRelevant data was extracted from these source datasheets and compiled in new tab called "SWL Interp". Then the hydrostratigraphic interpretation from the original data compilation was incorporated into the "SWL interp" datasheet in the column called BA "strat". These interpretations are tagged in the "strat interp source" column as "July14 SWL" . For completeness the original interpretation is included in the datasheet called "July14SWL"\n\n\n\nThe focus of these updated interpretation were bores that maybe screened in aquifers in the Galilee Basin. Bores that were interpreted utilising the updated data are tagged in the "strat interp source" column as "Mar17 interp".\n\n\n\nThis dataset was then clipped to the Assessment extent (see lineage) and some bores to the east added in (to use for Figure 79, GAL Group 3-4).\n\n\n\nA spatial join (250m) was done with the points from the Assets database to append information about the assets into the dataset and columns with null fields removed. \n\nThis dataset was then used to append values (using extract values to points) from the drawdown grids (Clematis, BCB and Alluvium) for the 5th, 50th and 95th percentile of drawdown in the model layers.\n\n\n\nThe spreadsheet QLDGALBoresNotInAssets.xlsx is an extract of the dataset to produce bores that aren't in the asset list.\n\n## **Dataset Citation** \n\nBioregional Assessment Programme (2017) Galilee groundwater data October 2016 v3. ## **Abstract** \n\nThis dataset and its metadata statement were supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and are presented here as originally supplied. \n\n\n\nThe Database of Communities of National Environmental Significance stores maps, taxonomic, ecological, and management information about Communities of National Environmental Significance listed in the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) Act 1999 as threatened ecological communities. \n\n\n\nCredit: \n\nState and Commonwealth Herbaria, Museums and Conservation Agencies Centre for Plant Biodiversity Research Australian Government Department of the Environment, Environmental Resources Information Network\n\n\n\nExternal accuracy: \n\nThe positional accuracy of spatial data is a statistical estimate of the degree to which planimetric coordinates and elevations of features agree with their real world values. The planimetric accuracy attainable in the vector data will be composed of errors from three sources:\n\n1. The positional accuracy of the source material\n\n2. Errors due to the conversion processes.\n\n3. Errors due to the manipulation processes.\n\n\n\nThis specification cannot prescribe a figure for the planimetric accuracy of the existing source material used for capture of community distributions as it has already been produced. The errors due to the digitising process depend on the accuracy of the digitising table set-up or the scanner resolution, systematic errors in the equipment, errors due to software and errors specific to the operator. An accepted standard for digitising is that the line accuracy should be within half a line width. \n\n\n\nNon Quantitative accuracy: \n\nTests are undertaken to ensure that there are no errors in attributes:\n\n- The spatial resolution of the data is reflected in the Presence Categories\n\n- Presence categories are one of:\n\n\\* Community known to occur within area\n\n\\* Community likely to occur within area \n\n\\* Community may occur within area (general indication only) \n\n\n\nConceptual consistency: \n\nTests undertaken for logical consistency:\n\n- Names of export files and data quality table are correct\n\n- Table names are valid\n\n- Item names in coverages are valid\n\n- Item names are present in coverage attribute files\n\n- Label points and entity point features have only one coordinate pair\n\n- The Arc/Info coverages can be generated, have attributes attached and be 'built'\n\n- In polygon coverages there are no label errors i.e. every polygon has one and only one polygon label point\n\n- Data format, projection and data type are correct\n\n- There are no overshoots, i.e. arc overhangs at intersections (1% error acceptable)\n\n- There are no undershoots, i.e. arcs failing to meet at intersections (0.5% error acceptable)\n\n- There are no new polygons smaller than the minimum specified area (5% error acceptable)\n\n- There are no new linear features shorter than the minimum length (5% error acceptable)\n\n- There are no artefacts such as spikes or deviations visible at 1:125 000 (5% error acceptable)\n\n- Separate covers have exactly coincident lines where intended (5% error acceptable) \n\n\n\nCompleteness omission: \n\nThe database is continually being updated as the lists of threatened ecological communities on schedules of the EPBC Act are amended.\n\n\n\nThe Species of National Environmental Significance database is available at \n\nhttps://www.environment.gov.au/science/erin/databases-maps/snes\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nThis dataset and its metadata statement were supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and are presented here as originally supplied.\n\n\n\nThe Spatial information is stored in a geographic information system and links to the Species Profile tables through the community identifier.\n\n\n\nSource data were provided from a range of government, industry and non-government organisations.\n\n\n\nTesting is carried out using a combination of expert opinion and on-screen checks.\n\n## **Dataset Citation** \n\nDepartment of the Environment (2015) Communities of National Environmental Significance Database - RESTRICTED - Metadata only.
