Characterization and validation of novel anti-CB1 monoclonal antibodies and their application to GPCR studies
Novel anti-CB1 monoclonal antibodies, including an N-terminal binding antibody, were characterized and validated. These antibodies were then used to investigate the role of the CB1 N-terminus in subcellular localization. Finally, the ability of one antibody was assessed for immunoaffinity purification. In this thesis, I detail the characterization and validation of several novel monoclonal anti-CB1 antibodies as well as several applications of these antibodies
Effective strategies to improve sleep and academic performance among high school students
On Healthy People 2030, one of the sleep objectives is to increase the proportion of high school students who get enough sleep. This objective is listed as "Getting Worse" which indicates that we are further from meeting our target than we were at the beginning of the decade. As such, it is imperative that we focus our efforts in increasing this proportion for not only teenagers' current health & well-being but for their future health as well. Given that the CDC recommends 8 - 10 hours a night, it is important to research the multiple strategies that teenagers can utilize to achieve this amount. There are many different strategies/best practices that teenagers may employ in order to get enough sleep which is outlined throughout this paper
