Synthesis Of Durian Peel Carboxymethyl Cellulose Composite Hydrogel With The Addition Of Graphene Oxide And Tio2 As Methylen Blue Adsorbent
The synthesis of a composite hydrogel based on carboxymethyl cellulose derived from durian rind, combined with PVA-ALG polymer, and supplemented with fillers in the form of graphene oxide and TiO₂ at varying concentrations of 0%, 2%, 4%, 6%, and 8%, has been successfully carried out through a physical cross-linking process involving freeze–thaw cycles and ionic gelation. The hydrogels produced in this study were subsequently characterized to examine their surface morphology and elemental composition, functional group analysis, thermal stability, water absorption capacity, and methylene blue adsorption performance. The results indicate that the incorporation of GO and TiO₂ fillers into the hydrogel tends to refine and reduce the pore size on the hydrogel surface, with TiO₂ visibly present in SEM images and EDX spectra. Furthermore, the addition of GO and TiO₂ fillers enhances the absorption bands in the IR spectra. Hydrogel samples containing GO and TiO₂ also demonstrated improved thermal stability, as evidenced by the insignificant weight loss observed in the TGA thermograms. This study found that the addition of GO and TiO₂ fillers tends to decrease the DSA of the hydrogel, with the H0 sample exhibiting the highest DSA value of 170.5%. The H8 hydrogel sample demonstrated high adsorption performance, with an adsorption capacity of 33.25 mg/g and an adsorption efficiency of 65.6%.87 pagesTesis Magiste

Fostering Prisoners and Recidivists Commiting Narcotic Offenses in Class II B Penitentiary Langsa (A Case Study at the Class II B Penitentiary Langsa)
Prisons are often seen as institutions that are not optimal in providing services, of
course, this should not happen again because it will decline the Correctional Institution
as an institution that plays a role in fostering inmates and making them reborn into
good and trustworthy human beings. The absence of a special program for narcotics
inmates and narcotics rehabilitators will be seen whether this is in line with the
principles stipulated in Law Number 22 of 2022. Because in fact, prisons as a place to
coach inmates must make coaching efforts that can improve inmates from the problems
they experience, as mentioned at the beginning that Sahardjo explained that in essence
prisons are places to foster inmates. The research methods used in this study are
normative-empirical, the nature of analytical descriptive research, the data used are
secondary data and primary data, and use qualitative analysis. The results of this study
state that The implementation of coaching activities for recidivist perpetrators in Class
IIB Langsa Correctional Institution has not been carried out optimally, this is because
special efforts have not been made for narcotics inmates. The effectiveness of
correctional institution coaching activities to prevent recidivism inmates in Class IIB
Langsa Correctional Institution in accordance with Law Number 22 of 2022 is not
optimal because special coaching efforts are not made for narcotics inmates. The
obstacle of the Langsa City Class II B Correctional Institution in providing guidance
to inmates who commit recidivism lies in insufficient facilities and infrastructure to
carry out coaching optimally, Without or support adequate facilities or facilities, it is
not easy for law enforcement to run well.164 PagesTesis Magiste
Comparative Study of the Use of Honeycomb Beam Rafter against Tapered Beam as a Benchmark Packaging Building Project - KEK Sei Mangkei
Long-span buildings in the industrial sector, such as factories, warehouses, and aircraft hangars, are generally built using a gable frame structure, as is the case in the packaging building project in this study. This is because the use of a gable frame has several advantages over other structures, namely, it is more efficient in terms of cost and manufacturing process, and provides good rigidity and strength to the building. The cross-sectional modeling of gable frame varies greatly, ranging from I-beam, angle beam, channel beam, composite steel beam, T-beam and H-
beam cross-sections. This research focuses on the comparison of material weight and performance between the modified I-beam cross-section to a tapered beam cross-section as a benchmark based on data obtained in the field with honeycomb beam with dimensions HC600x200x8x13. The results of this study show that the design using steel with a honeycomb cross section is more efficient in terms of material weight compared to the tapered section for the packaging building, achieving an efficiency of 8.49%. While in terms of performance, the honeycomb beam section has greater stiffness than the tapered beam, because the inertia of the honeycomb beam profile is greater, it can reduce the occurrence of excessive deflection. The lateral torsional buckling ratio of both cross-sections is safe, but if additional load is applied, the honeycomb beam cross-section will reach its maximum capacity limit faster than the tapered beam.178 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

Comparison of Glutathione and Glutathione Peroxidase as Aging Biomarkers in the Saliva of Elderly Residents at Yayasan Taman Bodhi Asri Nursing Home
Comparison of Glutathione and Glutathione Peroxidase as Aging Biomarkers in the Saliva of Elderly Residents at Yayasan Taman Bodhi Asri Nursing Home xiv + 82 pages Aging is an unavoidable biological phenomenon. According to the World Health Organization, the global elderly population will increase from 1 billion in 2020 to 1.4 billion in 2030. Each individual experiences a heterogeneous aging process that cannot be easily tracked through chronological age alone, thus requiring biomarkers to measure biophysiological aging processes and represent the health status. This aging process can be explained by the oxidative stress theory, which involves an imbalance between reactive oxygen species and antioxidants. These antioxidants may include the glutathione system, which encompasses reduced glutathione (GSH), oxidized glutathione (GSSG), glutathione peroxidase (GPx1), and the GSH/GSSG ratio. The aim of this study was to compare salivary levels of GSH, GSSG, GPx1, and the GSH/GSSG ratio in young adults and elderly individuals. The method used in this study was cross-sectional with a purposive sampling technique. The total sample size was 48 individuals, divided into 24 young adults and 24 elderly individuals. Data analysis was conducted using the Mann-Whitney test, showing that the detected levels of GSH, GSSG, and the GSH/GSSG ratio in the saliva of young adults were higher than those in the elderly group, although the differences were not statistically significant (p > 0.05). In addition, the results indicated a significant difference in the levels of GPx1 detected in the saliva of the elderly group, which were higher than those in the young adult group (p = 0.001). The conclusion of this study is that GPx1 can be used as a salivary biomarker for aging.96 PagesSkripsi Sarjan
