Internet of Things Bassed Solar Powered Mini Pump for Rice Field Irrigation in Sidoarjo II Ramunia
Sidoarjo II Ramunia Village is an agricultural area that has great potential in the agricultural sector, but still faces obstacles in the irrigation system which is less efficient and relies on conventional energy sources. Irrigation is an effort to regularly flow water from water sources to agricultural land. So a water pump is needed to move water from one place to another. However, the use of water pumps also requires additional costs, such as for fuel or electricity, which is a burden for famers. This research aims to design and build a mini pump using solar power based on the internet of things (IoT) as an automatic irrigation solution that is energy efficient and environmentally friendly. This research includes designing a system powered by solar panels and integrating IoT modules (such as ESP32) for remote monitoring and control via a web-based application, so that it can activate the water pump automatically. Testing was carried out with watering cycles in different weather conditions. The results of the study show that this system does not require electricity supply from PLN and the system also runs stably and responsively. The proposed system proved effective in improving irrigation efficiency and is suitable for implementation as a modern irrigation solution in rural areas with limited electricity access. When the solar panel absorbs sunlight energy for 1 hour, it produces an energy value of 0,79 Wh and can pump 1.166 mL of water with the energy released by the pump being 0.024 Wh.50 PagesKertas Karya Diplom
An Analysis of Service Quality at Ar-Rayhan Integrated Islamic School Using The Servqual Approach
This study aims to evaluate the quality of services at Ar-Rayhan Integrated Islamic
School and its relationship to parental satisfaction. The research employed a descriptive
qualitative method, with data collected through interviews, observations, and
documentation. The findings indicate that, in general, parents are fairly satisfied with
the school's services, particularly in the dimensions of reliability and empathy.
However, there remains a gap between the expectations and the actual services
received. The average score for perceived service quality was 4.27, while the expected
score was 4.58, resulting in an average gap of -0.31. The largest negative gap was
found in the aspect of supporting educational facilities (Gap = -2.28), reflecting a
weakness in the tangibles dimension. Conversely, the highest positive gap was observed
in teachers' responsiveness to students' issues (Gap = +0.20), indicating strengths in the
dimensions of responsiveness and empathy. This study is expected to provide strategic
input for the school to improve weaker service dimensions, so that overall service
quality can better meet parents' expectations.99 PagesTesis Magiste
Waste Analysis in the Coffee Bean Roasting Production Process Using the Lean Manufacturing and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) Approach
The roasting process in coffee production is a crucial stage with a significant impact on the final product quality. However, this stage often faces challenges that prevent production outcomes from meeting expected targets. Observations reveal the presence of non-value-added activities that lead to waste in the form of waiting time, overprocessing, and unnecessary motion. These issues result in longer processing times and reduced work efficiency. To address these problems, a systematic approach is needed to thoroughly identify and eliminate waste. Lean Manufacturing is applied to detect non-value-added activities through workflow mapping using Value Stream Mapping, while Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) is used to prioritize improvements based on the most impactful potential failures. The integration of these two methods is expected to provide effective process improvement solutions, enhance production efficiency, and support the achievement of sustainable production targets.147 PagesSkripsi Sarjan
Synthesis and Photocatalytic Activity of Zno/Cuo Composite Using Green Tea (Camellia Sinensis) Leaf Extract for Methylene Blue Degradation
In this study, the synthesis, characterization, and analysis of a ZnO/CuO composite
photocatalyst based on green tea leaf extract were successfully carried out. The
ZnO/CuO composite was synthesized using a green synthesis method. The synthesis
process began with the mixing of Zn and Cu precursor solutions with green tea leaf
extract, followed by stirring at 60 °C for 2 hours. After drying, the sample was calcined
at 500 °C for 4 hours to obtain a composite powder that was then characterized.
Characterization using SEM showed that the particle morphology was non-uniform
and exhibited agglomeration. This agglomeration is likely caused by van der Waals
forces between closely spaced particles. XRD analysis confirmed the formation of two
distinct crystalline phases, ZnO (hexagonal structure) and CuO (monoclinic
structure). The CuO peaks became more pronounced with increasing CuO content in
the samples. The addition of CuO also led to an increase in crystallite size and degree
of crystallinity. FTIR data showed absorption bands at 909 cm⁻¹ and 685 cm⁻¹,
indicating the presence of Zn–O and Cu–O bonds, as well as an –OH group around
3400 cm⁻¹ attributed to biomolecules from the green tea extract. UV-Vis analysis
showed that the maximum absorption wavelength of methylene blue was observed at
664 nm. The highest degradation efficiency was obtained in the ZnO:CuO = 8:2
sample, with a concentration reduction from 10 ppm to approximately 0.53 ppm, or
about 94.32%. This high photocatalytic activity is presumed to result from the
formation of a p–n heterojunction that enhances charge separation and boosts
photocatalytic performance.80 PagesSkripsi Sarjan
