Analysis Of Language Variation In Turning Red Movie: A Sociolinguistic Study
This study analyzes language variation in the animated film Turning Red (2022), directed by Domee Shi. The research aims to identify the types of language variation (dialect, sociolect, idiolect, and register) and to examine the factors influencing them (age and generation, cultural and ethnic background, social relationship). Using Wardhaugh and Fuller’s (2015) framework, this study applies a descriptive qualitative method. The data consist of 31 selected dialogues from the film, transcribed and analyzed based on linguistic and sociocultural contexts. The findings show that all four types of language variation appear in the film: sociolect (11 dialogues), idiolect (10 dialogues), dialect (6 dialogues), and register (6 dialogues). The dominance of sociolect indicates that the characters’ language use is strongly shaped by their peer interactions and generational identity. The presence of multiple variations within a single dialogue also suggests that linguistic diversity in the film is fluid and context-dependent. Furthermore, the analysis reveals three main influencing factors: age and generation (15 dialogues), social relationship (14 dialogues), and cultural and ethnic background (9 dialogues). These findings demonstrate that generational differences and social dynamics play significant roles in shaping linguistic choices among the characters. In conclusion, Turning Red reflects how language variation represents identity, culture, and social connection, showing that animated films can authentically portray real-life sociolinguistic diversity.101 pagesSkripsi Sarjan

This study aimed to determine the effect of the ratio of red dragon fruit peel juice and sweet orange juice, as well as the addition of bilimbi juice, on the physical, chemical, and organoleptic quality characteristics. The study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a factorial pattern consisting of two treatment factors, namely the ratio of red dragon fruit peel juice to sweet orange juice (J) (50%:50%, 70%:30%, 90%:10%) and the addition of bilimbi juice (B) (5%, 7%, 9%). The results showed that the ratio of red dragon fruit peel juice to sweet orange juice (J) had a highly significant effect (P<0,01) on antioxidant IC50), pH value, vitamin C, total phenols, total acids, total dissolved solids, activity (and hedonic attributes of color, aroma, taste, and overall acceptance. The addition of bilimbi juice (B) had a highly significant effect (P<0,01) on antioxidant activity(IC50), pH value, vitamin C, total phenols, total acids, total dissolved solids, and ptance. The best treatment was obtained hedonic attributes of taste and overall accebased on the De Garmo method, namely treatment J1B3 with a proportion of 50% red dragon fruit peel juice and 50% sweet orange juice combined with 9% bilimbi juice, which was then followed by total plate count analysis, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) analysis, and evaluation of cancer preventive potential. Administration of the beverage sample at doses of 10,5 and 21 mg/20g body weight of mice was able to reduce inflammatory cells and necrosis caused by oxidative stress in the brain (hippocampus) and liver of mice induced with benzo(a)pyrene.143 PagesSkripsi Sarjan
The Legal Responsibility of Mentors in Foreign Exchange Mentoring for Investor Losses in Indonesia
The phenomenon of investment mentoring in Indonesia has become a growing trend among young people, particularly in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. This trend is closely linked to the rapid development of various investment products in the country, including forex, binary options, and cryptocurrency. These emerging forms of investment have captured the interest of the younger generation, leading to the widespread emergence of platforms and media offering training and mentorship in this field. Therefore, this research aims to examine the development of legal regulations concerning digital-era investments in Indonesia, analyze the legal framework surrounding the practice of investment mentoring, and explore the legal responsibilities of mentors toward mentees who participate in such investment mentoring programs. This thesis research employs a normative legal research method with a descriptive approach. The data consists of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials, which are collected through literature study techniques and analyzed using normative qualitative data analysis methods. This study concludes that the development of legal regulations on investment in Indonesia during the digital era tends to lag behind the rapid growth of investment products. Furthermore, the phenomenon of investment mentoring in Indonesia remains inadequately regulated. Legal protection regarding the rights and obligations of the parties involved in such mentoring relationships is often based on the Indonesian Civil Code and the Consumer Protection Law. In terms of the mentor’s liability for losses suffered by the mentee, it is generally based on the contractual agreement between the parties. If the contract does not specifically regulate such liability, the mentee typically cannot claim or demand any legal responsibility from the investment mentor.159 PagesSkripsi Sarjan
Juridical Analysis of the Validity of the Notice Letter for the General Meeting of Shareholders (Case Study of Supreme Court Decision No. 2917 K/Pdt/2016)
A General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) may be held if more than half of the total shares with voting rights are present or represented, unless otherwise stipulated by law and/or the articles of association requiring a higher quorum. The GMS may be convened by a court order if there are obstacles in organizing the meeting, such as the failure to meet the quorum. If the quorum requirement is not fulfilled in the first GMS, a second GMS may be called. If the quorum for the second GMS is still not met, the company may petition the Chief Judge of the District Court to determine the quorum for a third GMS.
This thesis examines the validity of a GMS convened by the Board of Commissioners on the grounds of the Board of Directors' incapacity, the legal certainty of the provisions in the Limited Liability Company Law (UUPT) regarding quorum determination by the Chief Judge of the District Court, and the analysis of legal application by the panel of judges in the case of a company's petition for a GMS quorum determination in Supreme Court Decision No. 2917 K/Pdt/2016.
The research method employed in this thesis is normative juridical with a descriptive-analytical approach. This study uses a statute approach and a case study approach. The data sources are secondary data consisting of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials relevant to the research problems, and the data were analyzed using deductive reasoning.
The findings show that based on the court's decision, the term "registered letter" is not limited to postal service delivery only. In accordance with Article 1 point 13 of the Company Law, a company may petition the District Court Judge to determine the third GMS quorum by fulfilling the conditions stipulated in the Elucidation of Article 86 paragraph (5) of the Company Law. It is recommended that the Supreme Court issue a regulation (PERMA) on the mechanism of delivering GMS notices via registered mail so that judges will not interpret the term narrowly under the Company Law.156 PagesTesis Magiste
The Relationship Between the Severity of Stretch Marks Based on the Imam, Nelva, and Alviera (INA) Score and Age at Menarche Among Female Students
Background: Stretch marks are skin disorders caused by excessive stretching that results in damage to collagen and elastin fibers in the dermis. One phase associated with the development of stretch marks is puberty, which is marked by menarche in adolescent girls. Early age at menarche indicates earlier hormonal maturation, which may affect skin elasticity and contribute to the formation of stretch marks. Objective: To determine the relationship between the severity of stretch marks based on the Imam–Nelva–Alviera (INA) score and age at menarche among female students of SMA Negeri 1 Kota Tebing Tinggi in the 2025/2026 academic year. Methods: This was an observational analytic study with a cross-sectional design. A total of 250 female students were included using a total sampling technique. The severity of stretch marks was assessed using the
INA score, while age at menarche was obtained through a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Spearman’s correlation test. Results: Of the 250 students, 142 students (56.8%) had stretch marks, with the most common location being the
femoral region in 52 students (36.6%), and all lesions were classified as striae alba. Most students had mild severity in 102 students (71.8%) and early age at menarche (≤11 years) in 61 students (42.96%). Statistical analysis showed a significant relationship between stretch mark severity based on the INA score and age at menarche (p = 0.000; r = 0.596). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between the severity of stretch marks based on the INA score and age at menarche among female students of SMA Negeri 1 Kota Tebing Tinggi.85 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

A Study on the Presence of Microplastics in the Gills and Gastrointestinal Tract of Common Carp (Cyprinus carpio) in Lake Toba (Case Study: Haranggaol Village, Haranggaol Horison District, Simalungun Regency)
Microplastics are emerging pollutants that are now widely found in aquatic environments and organisms. This study aims to analyze the presence, characteristics, and factors influencing the abundance of microplastics in the gills and digestive tracts of common carp (Cyprinus carpio) in Lake Toba. The research was conducted at two different locations floating net cage areas and open-water tourism areas under two rainfall conditions, namely high and low rainfall. The observed parameters included the shape, color, size, and polymer type of microplastics, microplastic abundance, the relationship between fish morphometric parameters (weight, length, and width), as well as the effects of location and rainfall conditions. The results showed that microplastics were found in all fish samples, with fibers and fragments being the dominant shapes, and blue, black, and transparent as the most common colors. The polymer type identified through Raman spectroscopy analysis was Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET). The average abundance of microplastics reached 5.5 particles per gram, with the highest concentration found in the gill organs. Regression analysis indicated that fish weight and length had a significant effect on the number of microplastics (p < 0.05), while width had no significant effect. The Mann–Whitney test revealed no significant difference in microplastic abundance between fish from the floating net cage area and the tourism area (p = 0.462), nor between high and low rainfall conditions (p = 0.753). This study indicates that microplastic pollution in Lake Toba has spread throughout the aquatic environment and is influenced by a combination of anthropogenic factors and environmental dynamics, while monthly fluctuations in rainfall have not yet shown a significant impact on the level of microplastic abundance in fish.99 PagesSkripsi Sarjan
A Comparative Study Of Women’s Empowerment in Moxie and Enola Holmes 2
This study analyzes women’s empowerment in the films Moxie (2021) and Enola
Holmes 2 (2022) using Longwe’s Five-Level Empowerment Framework: welfare,
access, conscientization, participation, and control. Employing a qualitative
comparative method, the research explores how empowerment is represented and
compares the strategies used in both films. Findings show that Moxie emphasizes
collective activism in a school setting, while Enola Holmes 2 focuses on
individual agency within a historical and class-based context. The study
highlights the diverse ways empowerment is portrayed in media and demonstrates
the usefulness of Longwe’s five-levels framework for feminist film analysis,
while also addressing a gap in comparative and youth-focused empowerment

Chest X-Ray Findings Based on the Types of Acyanotic Congenital Heart Disease in Children at H. Adam Malik General Hospital
Background:Congenital heart disease (CHD) is a structural abnormality of the heart present since intrauterine life and accounts for approximately 30–45% of all congenital anomalies. The acyanotic congenital heart diseases, including atrial septal defect (ASD), ventricular septal defect (VSD), and patent ductus arteriosus (PDA), typically cause a left-to-right shunt without cyanosis. Chest X-ray (CXR) remains an important initial diagnostic modality to evaluate cardiomegaly, pulmonary vascular markings, and cardiac silhouette shape, particularly in settings with limited access to echocardiography.
Objective:To describe chest X-ray findings based on the types of acyanotic congenital heart disease in children hospitalized at H. Adam Malik General Hospital, Medan.
Methods:This was a retrospective descriptive study using medical record data of pediatric patients diagnosed with acyanotic CHD who had complete echocardiography and chest X-ray results at H. Adam Malik General Hospital during the period of June–December 2024. Samples were selected using a simple random sampling method, with a total of 96 patients. Data were analyzed descriptively using SPSS version 25 and presented in frequency distribution tables and percentages
.Results:Of the 96 patients, the majority were female (56.3%) with a mean age of 6.05 ± 4.81 years. The most common type of CHD was VSD (41.7%), followed by PDA (26.0%) and ASD (24.0%). Radiological findings showed cardiomegaly in 34.4% of patients, increased pulmonary vascular markings (plethora) in 58.3%, and abnormal cardiac silhouette in 35.4%. The largest defect size group accounted for 49.0%. VSD was predominantly associated with cardiomegaly and increased pulmonary vascularity
.Conclusion:The most frequent chest X-ray findings among children with acyanotic CHD at H. Adam Malik General Hospital were cardiomegaly and increased pulmonary vascular markings, particularly in patients with VSD. Chest X-ray remains a valuable initial screening tool for detecting congenital heart disease prior to echocardiographic confirmation.72 PagesSkripsi Sarjan
