medio de la guerra civil española y en plena construcción del llamado nuevo
Estado, lo que explica las dificultades con las que tuvo que enfrentarse el decreto que el conde Rodezno presentó ante el Consejo de Ministros.The article strives to analyse the restoration of the Society of Jesus by the
Burgos Government in 1938. It also provides a close look at both the process
and circumstances of the event, as well as the opinions of many of the people
involved. The process took place after the first half of the Spanish Civil War,
right at the time when the «new state» was being formed, which explains the
many difficulties Rodezno’s decree faced when it was presented to the Council

Robótica educativa en las aulas de Educación Especial
Get PDFEn los últimos años, la inclusión de la Robótica Educativa en nuestros sistemas educativos está mostrando un crecimiento exponencial, haciéndose presente en los niveles educativos iniciales, propiciando una inmersión temprana del alumnado en las nuevas tecnologías. Tras la aceptación obtenida por
el alumnado, junto a la eficacia inherente a los proyectos basados en la robótica, recientemente se han
iniciado propuestas y diseños enfocados a alumnado que presenta discapacidad intelectual y diversidad funcional. Así, comienzan a hacerse presentes en la educación especial a través de iniciativas
que aún pueden ser calificadas como pioneras. En el presente artículo, compartimos un trabajo que
se ha desarrollado en el Colegio Virgen de Lourdes de Majadahonda (Madrid), un centro concertado
de referencia en educación especial en nuestro país, que ejerce su servicio educativo a través de un
importante equipo interdisciplinar, y que, entre otras líneas de fuerza, ha fomentado la formación de
algunos de sus docentes en robótica educativa. El proyecto específico sustanciado ha otorgado protagonismo a 6 alumnos de Transición a la Vida Adulta, siendo materializado a través de un protocolo que
respetó las consabidas exigencias éticas y deontológicas, y la aceptación del equipo directivo, claustro
y tutores legales respectivos. La evaluación que se aplicó fue de tipo cualitativo, obteniéndose distintos
resultados como: 1) el establecimiento de capacidades resolutivas de problemas entre sus iguales, fomentando el compañerismo y el trabajo en equipo; 2) desarrollo y mantenimiento de la secuenciación
y la estructuración de las tareas dentro de una actividad; 3) mejora de las habilidades manipulativas
y de motricidad fina mediante el ensamblado; 4) constatación de un notable nivel de satisfacción por
la realización de un proyecto ejecutado y percibido de manera autónoma; 5) constatación de mayor
conocimiento de sus habilidades y limitaciones a la hora de llevar a cabo un trabajo. Se concluye en
la conveniencia de dar mayor continuidad al proyecto, junto a la implementación de otras iniciativas
conectadas con robótica y las nuevas tecnologías.Psicología y Ciencias de la Salu

Diversos estudios en los últimos años demuestran como una mayor participación de los padres en la educación de sus hijos, mejora los resultados que estos obtienen, mejorando también el clima en el que se desarrolla su proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje, ya que las familias pasan a tener un papel protagonista junto con sus profesores en el mismo. Otra de las conclusiones generales de los estudios es que con la participación de las familias en los centros aumenta la implicación de los padres en la educación de sus hijos y el sentido de pertenencia al Centro.Educació
International Perspectives on ePortfolios in Higher Education: Case Studies from Asia, North America and Europe
Get PDFThe authors of this paper explore case studies from three different universi-ties: Harvard University, Sookmyung Women's University, and Villanueva-Complutense University of Madrid. Although each case is from a different country on three different continents, what they have in common is that they all implemented ePortfolios at the course level within a Master of Edu-cation Program. ePortfolios are dynamic tools that can be used for many functions, which can be sorted into three categories: learning, evaluation, and career development. This paper analyzes the success factors of the three ePortfolio use cases as well as the challenges that can be considered general-izable and others that are more culturally specific. The exploration of differ-ent perspectives can help to develop a common understanding of the uses, benefits, and potential of ePortfolios in higher education.Educació
The use of e-portfolios in higher education: From the students' perspective
Get PDFThis study sets out to discern the students' perspective on the value/usefulness and
importance of the e-portfolio, as well as their own performance and effort. The
participants were 121 preschool and primary school initial teacher education students in
a private university in Spain. They were enrolled in three asynchronous undergraduate
sections of an elective course on ICTs in education. Our data suggest that students are
willing to use e-portfolios in the future, and do not just view them as coursework to be
completed for a grade. The respondents acknowledged the value of e-portfolio as a
learning and evaluation tool. Students recognise the e-portfolio as a job search tool as
well as a resource for career advancement. They reported both competence and
satisfaction with their work. The strongest impetus of intrinsic motivation, as indicated
by our research, was an appreciation for the value and usefulness of the e-portfolio,
followed by the students' perspective of competence.Educació

Abstract
When someone tries to clarify what the mind-brain relationship is, it is very important to use the basic term because ultimately, the man’s vision underlies the neuroscientific proposal with which we are working and also the range of potentials and limitations of research. The term “correlation” is widely used when we talk about the relationship between neural activity and mind or consciousness. The aim of this paper is precisely to show the real scope of the term in this field. The beginning will be that the term “correlation” can mean, in this context, the existence of a causal-efficient relationship or of a psychophysical parallelism or of a terminological dualism – but not real – in the way of two conceptual systems, etc. However, it can also be studied by analyzing other levels. This will make it possible to assess the appropriateness of the term “correlation.” Following this line, the mind-brain relationship can be approached from an “causal analysis” not merely efficient or from the concept of “possibility condition” of an event and even from “reason enough.” The core of the chapter studies the difference between “causality” and “condition of possibility,” the scope of each concept, and the explanation that both perspectives are epistemically compatible. The origin of these terms – Aristotelian and rationalist – will help achieve this goal. It is concluded that the metaphysical and constitutive understanding proceeds from causal explanation, whereas in the explanation of events as results, but not in their nature or existence, “correlation” means “condition of possibility.”Educació
The Amity Experience:Benefits of Teacher Training Abroad
Get PDFThe current demand for teachers of English in Primary and Secondary schools in Spain is staggering
due to the implementation of a bilingual curriculum in the various autonomous communities. Recent
graduates with Education degrees are not only looking for alternatives to improve their foreign
language skills, but also to learn about new and innovative teaching methodologies to enhance their
job prospects. As such, the opportunity to receive professional teacher training through an educational
internship in a different country is an experience that, for these recent graduates, can lead to both
personal and professional development.
This article discusses the challenges and opportunities encountered by eighty Spanish university
students from Centro Universitario Villanueva who have participated in a teacher training internship
program in the United States, through Amity Institute, during a full academic year, as volunteer
Spanish teaching assistants. Based in San Diego, California, Amity is a non-profit institution which
offers students from 29 different countries, who have a career goal in education, the opportunity to
become volunteer foreign language teaching assistants in American classrooms and perform as
“cultural ambassadors”. The benefits are numerous: the interns gain essential new teaching skills and
practical hands-on knowledge, improve their English while living with a native host family and learn
how to adjust to a different culture. Consequently, the main purpose of this article is to demonstrate
how this eye-opening experience has been a primary ingredient for success in the students’
professional career, and a turning point in their lives.Educació

Audiencias y redes: pautas de consumo de industria cultural en España
Get PDFDesde que se registran datos las audiencias televisivas han aumentado progresivamente España. Se acusa una baja en el consumo medio diario de, aproximadamente, cuatro minutos anuales a partir de marzo de 2013. ¿Fenómeno coyuntural de saturación o anuncio de un cambio sustantivo?. Método. La investigación sitúa hermenéuticamente el caso español en el contexto de una sociedad unificada por la globalización de la industria cultural de entretenimiento masivo en un mercado unitario. Para apreciar tendencias, utiliza audiometría y fuentes estadísticas de acceso público o de institutos privados que comparan variables en intervalos a largo plazo. Se plantea si la tecnología digital promueve una nueva “cultura digital”, o si confirma la continuidad del consumo. Resultados: Hay pruebas de que otros medios se acoplan al televisor pero no hay signos de que este posible cambio pueda implicar una modificación de las pautas culturales caracterizada por un consumo masivo de industria cultural.Comunicació
