The Common Good According to Karol Wojtyła: A Personalist Approach
Full text linkThis article analyzes Karol Wojtyła’s vision of the common good. In the first place, it presents the central criterion on which Wojtyła bases his vision: the primacy of the person over society. Then it analyzes the concepts of participation and alienation. It then proceeds to analyze the different models of social interaction found in Wojtyła’s texts: society, community, neighbor-system and communio personarum. Based on this set of premises, the incorrect way to understand the common good in individualistic and collectivist societies is shown. And, afterwards, the way in which Wojtyła understands it. The common good is the good that includes at the same time the good of the individual persons and the good of society and it is achieved through participation. Finally, the article shows several attitudes towards the common good. The authentic ones: solidarity, opposition, and dialogue. And the inauthentic ones: conformism and avoidancHumanidade
“Influencers are just mannequins”: Decoding teenagers’ perception about advertising content creators
Full text linkThis study investigates teenagers’ skepticism toward influencer trust and its implications for their perceptions of and receptiveness to social media advertising. Employing a mixed-methods approach, we surveyed 1055 teenagers to gauge their perceptions of influencers’ advertising intensity. Additionally, qualitative focus groups involving 55 participants explored a range of perceptions, addressing their distrust toward influencers and the breakdown of parasocial relationships with these profiles. Findings suggest that teenagers perceive influencers as mannequins aimed at entertainment and attention capture, lacking humanity and credibility as advertising vessels. This perception influences consumption habits, favoring advertising intensity over authenticity. The emergence of influencers as vacuous entities underscores the tangible repercussions associated with monetizing their image over human value.Comunicació
Where and How Do Phronesis and Emotions Connect?
Full text linkWe aim to map out the points of confuence between phronesis and emotion, as well as the nature of this confuence. We
do so based on philosophical and psychological explanations of emotions and phronesis. Making sound decisions, which
requires phronesis, is an important matter, but its relationship with emotions has only just begun to be studied. We propose
that the interplay between phronesis and emotion is possible (rather than inevitable) because both have a cognitive-behavioural structure and because emotions are hierarchical. In the case of emotion, there are no gaps between the cognitive and
behavioural dimensions, while phronetic acts can only manifest if cognitive and behavioural aspects are activated simultaneously. The confuence we identify is bidirectional and involves mutual enrichment in this dual dimension. On the one hand,
phronesis enriches emotion because it involves extra subjective knowledge and allows emotion to be directed towards higher
goals. On the other hand, emotions enrich phronesis because phronesis makes decisions based on sensitive preferences and
because emotions confrm correctness in the context of moral decision making. Methodologically, this study is theoretical
and interdisciplinary, as our approach is both philosophical and psychological. Philosophy helps us to improve the conceptual foundation of the construct, while psychology provides an analysis of the emotional process, allowing philosophy to
understand how emotional evaluation-assessment and motivation lead to decision making.Educació

The paper critically examines the legal standards that the European Commission established in its first set of designation decisions issued in September 2023. It spotlights two significant actions by the Commission: the delineation of core platform services and the consideration of the undertakings’ rebuttals of the presumption of a gatekeeper position deriving from the application of the quantitative thresholds. Actitud y comportamiento del adolescente frente al influencer advertising sobre cuerpo y dieta en Perú
Full text linkLa temprana presencia del adolescente en redes sociales (RS) y su exposición prolongada al influencer advertising, táctica no invasiva enfocada en objetivos publicitarios a corto plazo que tiene como pilar de un sistema de publicidad digital al influencer, lo han colocado en situación de riesgo. La evidencia indica hibridación en la publicidad (Feijoo et al., 2021; Feijoo, et al., 2023; Suárez-Álvarez y Pastor-Rodríguez, 2023) y limitadas capacidades del adolescente para reconocer la publicidad si no está señalizada (Evans et al., 2017; Feijoo et al., 2021; Martins et al., 2023; Zozaya Durazo et al., 2022; Zozaya-Durazo y Sádaba-Chalezquer, 2022). Esto le impide activar una actitud crítica frente a la publicidad (Evans et al., 2017; Feijoo et al., 2021; Feijoo et al., 2023; Zozaya Durazo et al., 2022). La derrota de la paz. Historia interminable del conflicto palestino-israelí
No full textEn este artículo analizamos las múltiples causas -remotas y más recientes-, así como la diversa naturaleza de estas, del multisecular conflicto entre palestinos e israelíes. Somos conscientes de la imposibilidad de encontrar respuestas racionales a episodios de tanta barbarie engendrada; pero también es inevitables buscarlas. Así, pues, tendremos que desplazarnos en el tiempo a casi 4000 años antes de nuestros días para, atendiendo a los textos del Antiguo Testamento, conocer el origen de los continuos enfrentamientos entre los dos pueblos, el hebreo y el palestino, como consecuencia de interpretaciones contrarias a la "propiedad" de la Tierra Prometida. Las decisiones políticas, en función de los intereses coloniales, económicos y geoestratégicos, principalmente, -a los que no son ajenas las motivaciones de carácter religioso- contribuyeron al nacimiento del Estado de Israel. A partir de ahí, se reavivó la llama que ha desembocado en un fuego, difícil de extinguir, que se transforma en tragedia humana y que alimenta un odio costoso de superar. La solución es compleja, y la voluntad para encontrarla, por ambas partes, de dudosa probabilidad. Parece que, según la opinión generalizada, la creación de un Estado palestino, libre e independiente , sin injerencias de Israel, ayudaría a poner fin al conflicto. Pero, realmente ¿es esto posible en un futuro cercano?In this article, we analyze the multiple causes of the multi-secular conflict between Palestinians and Israelis. Although we are aware of the impossibility of finding rational responses to episodes of such barbarity, it is also inevitable to look for them . In this context, we will have to travel back in time 4000 years before our days to have a look at the texts of the Old Testament and know the origins of the continuous clashes between the Hebrew and the Palestinian population due to a different interpretarion about the "ownership" of the Promised Land. After an attempt of Jewish emancipation and assimilation during the French Revolution and the Illustration, the escalation of violence against Jewish communities in Europe in the 19th century is translated into persecution, isolation and massacres. This atrocious anti-Semitism that leads to the birth of Zionism, which would establish the foundations for the creation of a "national home" for the Jewish people. The political decisions, based on colonial, economic and geo-strategic intererests, mainly, -to whom religious motivations are not alien- contributed to the birth of the State of Israel. From that moment, the flmae was rekindled has led to a fire, that is difficult to extinguish, which has been transformed into a human tragedy and that feeds a hatred that will be difficult to overcome. The solution is complex, and the will to find it, on both sides, is doubtful. It seems that, according to widespread opinion, the creation of a Palestinian State, free and independent, without interference from Israel, would help end the conflict. Influencia del nivel socioeconómico en la percepción familiar de los riesgos en línea.
Full text linkEl uso de las redes sociales entre los menores ha modificado las necesidades de mediación parental. El carácter personal del móvil requiere de estrategias con mayor protagonismo de la confianza y el
acompañamiento, como propone la mediación centrada en el menor. En un contexto en el que las familias están preocupadas por los
riesgos que sus hijos afrontan en línea, esta investigación cualitativa
reúne 40 entrevistas en díadas de padres/madres-hijos/hijas, residentes en España, a quienes se pregunta por mediación, percepción de
riesgos y su capacidad para afrontarlos. Los hallazgos confirman la
incidencia del nivel socioeconómico: los padres y madres de nivel
socioeconómico alto manifiestan más sintonía en los riesgos posibles que los de nivel socioeconómico bajos. Los menores de familias
más acomodadas creen estar en mejores condiciones de lidiar con

Sintomatología prefrontal y perfil atencional como predictores del estrés percibido y la tolerancia a la frustración en estudiantes de secundaria.
Full text linkIntroducción. El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar las relaciones entre el estrés percibido, la tolerancia a la frustración, la sintomatología prefrontal y el perfil atencional en estudiantes de secundaria.
Método. Se diseñó un estudio de metodología no experimental, cuantitativo, transversal y correlacional en el que participaron 91 estudiantes de edades comprendidas entre 12 y 15 años (M = 13.88; DT = 1.89).
Resultados. Los resultados indicaron la tendencia a mayor estrés percibido en aquellos estudiantes que presentaban un perfil inatento, mayor sintomatología prefrontal y problemas de control social y emocional. En tolerancia a la frustración, puntuaron más alto aquellos con menor sintomatología prefrontal y menos problemas manifestados en el control ejecutivo, social y emocional. Tanto en estrés percibido, como en tolerancia a la frustración, se demostró la capacidad predictiva de la sintomatología prefrontal, siendo además la inatención un predictor del estrés percibido en la muestra analizada.
Conclusión. Como conclusión, este tipo de estudios orientan la programación de intervenciones basadas en el entrenamiento de habilidades de afrontamiento del estrés y de la frustración como estrategias eficaces para resolver problemas cotidianos.Psicología y Ciencias de la Salu
