    Dr. János Gyenge’s Scholarly Contributions. Contributions to the Case of János Gyenge (III). Dr. János Gyenge, mentioned in the title, can be briefly described as a figure remembered in the history of the Hungarian Reformed Church as the central player in the short-lived church schism attempt associated with the failed “Free Church” reform in Nagyvárad (Oradea). Despite the brief duration of the “reform attempt”, which nearly led to a church schism, Gyenge managed to convey an important message in his time: that within the newly established but still unstrengthened Királyhágómellék Reformed Church District (KRE), alternative visions existed beyond those proposed by the representatives of the era’s divided leadership. The idea behind the “Free Church” plan essentially articulated a completely new vision for the church’s organizational and structural reform, which Gyenge officially introduced in 1928 under the name Romanian Hungarian Presbyterian Church.     COMPARATIVE FLOW BEHAVIOR OF OIL SLUDGE AND CRUDE OILS FROM ALGERIAN STORAGE TANKS

    This study investigates the flow behavior of tank bottom sludge and two crude oil samples by analyzing the variation of viscosity and shear stress with shear rate and temperature. The flow curves reveal that all samples exhibit non-Newtonian, shear-thinning behavior characterized by a distinct yield stress, particularly prominent in the sludge due to its high content of heavy fractions such as asphaltenes, resins, and solid particulates. Viscosity and shear stress consistently decrease with increasing temperature, a result of the thermal disruption of intermolecular forces and breakdown of microstructural networks. At low shear rates, sludge displays more pronounced shear-thinning behavior than crude oils, while at high shear rates, all samples approach Newtonian flow regimes due to molecular alignment and structural degradation. Model fitting shows the Herschel-Bulkley model best describes the sludge\u27s rheology, whereas the Casson model better fits the crude oils under specific temperature conditions. Temperature sensitivity analysis (10–40 °C) indicates that crude oils experience greater viscosity reduction than sludge, with crude 1 showing the highest response due to its thermally labile composition. Yield stress also diminishes with temperature, reflecting the weakening of internal structural rigidity. These findings underscore the critical influence of composition and temperature on the flow properties of petroleum-derived fluids, with implications for pipeline transport and sludge management

    The Impact of Social Media on Sports Marketing and Consumer Engagement. Objectives: This paper investigates the role of social media in sports marketing, analyzing how digital platforms, particularly Instagram and TikTok, influence fan engagement and consumer behavior. The study aims to determine the effectiveness of online marketing strategies over traditional methods and assess consumer preferences for specific social media platforms in the sports context. Materials and Methods: A qualitative research design was employed, with semi-structured interviews conducted among 20 social media-active participants aged 18 to 26. Responses were analyzed to identify major themes regarding platform preference, credibility of athlete endorsements, and consumer attitudes toward authentic and interactive content in sports marketing. Results: Findings reveal a clear preference for online over traditional marketing due to its accessibility, interactivity, and measurable results. Instagram and TikTok were favored for their engaging, fast-paced content, while athletes’ credibility and emotional storytelling were seen as key factors for successful sports marketing. Relevance and creativity in campaign content also emerged as crucial for sustaining consumer interest. Conclusions: The research confirms that digital platforms have transformed sports marketing, enhancing audience reach and fostering deeper connections with fans. Social media’s influence is expected to grow with advancing technologies, providing sports marketers with expanding opportunities for innovation and consumer engagement. REZUMAT. Impactul rețelelor sociale asupra marketingului sportiv și impli­cării consumatorilor. Obiective: Această lucrare investighează rolul rețelelor sociale în marketingul sportiv, analizând modul în care platformele digitale, în special Instagram și TikTok, influențează implicarea fanilor și comportamentul consumatorilor. Studiul își propune să determine eficiența strategiilor de marketing online în comparație cu metodele tradiționale și să evalueze preferințele consumatorilor pentru platformele specifice de social media în contextul sportiv. Materiale și Metode: A fost utilizat un design de cercetare calitativ, cu interviuri semi-structurate realizate în rândul a 20 de participanți activi pe social media, cu vârste între 18 și 26 de ani. Răspunsurile au fost analizate pentru a identifica principalele teme legate de preferința pentru platforme, credibilitatea sportivilor în calitate de ambasadori de brand și atitudinile consumatorilor față de conținutul autentic și interactiv în marketingul sportiv. Rezultate: Rezultatele indică o preferință clară pentru marketingul online față de cel tradițional datorită accesi­bilității, interactivității și rezultatelor măsurabile. Instagram și TikTok au fost preferate pentru conținutul captivant și dinamic, iar credibilitatea sportivilor și povestirile emoționale au fost considerate factori cheie pentru succesul marketingului sportiv. Relevanța și creativitatea conținutului campaniilor s-au dovedit, de asemenea, esențiale pentru menținerea interesului consumatorilor. Concluzii: Cercetarea confirmă că platformele digitale au transformat marketingul sportiv, sporind raza de acțiune asupra publicului și facilitând conexiuni mai profunde cu fanii. Influența rețelelor sociale este de așteptat să crească odată cu avansul tehnologic, oferind marketerilor sportivi oportunități tot mai mari pentru inovație și implicare a consumatorilor.     Assessing Nutritional Balance and Its Influence on Physical Activity and Performance Among University Sports Students

    Purpose: This study analyzes the nutritional balance both quantitative and qualitative of meals provided at university dining halls in Oran and explores how this balance relates to the physical activity levels of students at the Institute of Physical Education and Sports. Method: The research involved 134 male students (ages 18-25 years, body weight: 71.84±4.55 kg, height: 174.66±8.52 cm) living in university dormitories “S2,” “S5,” and “S1.” Food portions were measured, and students’ energy expenditure from physical activity was calculated, following energy value standards set by Gandy, Madden, and Holdsworth (2012). Results: The students’ average daily energy intake was 2729.93 kcal, while their energy expenditure from physical activity averaged 3277.66 kcal. According to Joan Webster’s 2020 guidelines, the recommended energy intake is 3521.6 kcal. The study revealed that energy intake was below recommended levels and energy expenditure was higher, suggesting a need for dietary adjustments to meet energy requirements due to high physical activity levels. Conclusion: There is a notable gap between energy intake and expenditure, influenced by poor meal planning rather than economic constraints. This imbalance may adversely affect physical performance and cognitive functions. A balanced diet that meets nutritional standards is crucial for optimizing both learning and physical performance.     The present work is based on the doctoral thesis of the author Annamária-Izabella Pazsint, translated and revised after the defence which took place in 2019, and represents a comprehensive study on the phenomenon of private associations in the Pontic cities from the 6th century BC to the 3rd century AD. It is a social history and prosopographic study, providing essential information on the development of associations from their emergence in this geographic area until their decline in the 3rd century AD. A. I. Pazsint employs a multidisciplinary approach, using archaeological, epigraphic, and literary evidence to conduct network analyses of interconnected members from various associations. The work, comprising 387 pages, is structured into six chapters, along with an introduction, conclusions, glossary of terms, appendices, figures, and illustrations. The appendices contain two extensive catalogues: one listing all epigraphic sources used in the study, and another listing all association members present in the inscriptions, 1983 individuals in total. The figures and illustrations include a thematic map, a table showing the geographical distribution of terminology, statistical graphs on the geographical distribution of inscriptions and associations, the chronological distribution of inscriptions, their types based on the city, and the types of materials used

    Perméables, hybrides, toujours problématiques et souvent résistantes à un travail rigide de définition et de répertoriage, les formes de l’écriture de soi ont connu ces dernières décennies de nouveaux développements, tant au niveau des pratiques qu’au niveau de la théorie littéraire et narrative dont elles constituent l’objet. Écrire, filmer, créer à partir d’un matériau biographique se révèlent être des actes qui ne sont pas uniquement descriptifs et qui ne visent pas seulement à construire des représentations du monde, mais qui constituent autant de façons de réfléchir, de s’engager et d’explorer le rapport complexe entre le soi et l’environnement. Qui plus est, la création artistique ayant pour point de départ sa propre biographie constitue également une forme de recherche, une entreprise proposant de nouveaux angles pour scruter la société et produisant un nouveau savoir sur celle-ci, incarné et situé. Un saut épistémologique est ainsi à l’œuvre dans la nouvelle forme de l’écriture de soi désignée par la notion d’« autothéorie » : comme le mot le suggère, théoriser et écrire sur son expérience intime ne sont plus deux entreprises enracinées dans des enjeux et des contextes différents, mais elles participent ensemble au même projet dans le cadre duquel la réflexion théorique et philosophique se réclame comme enracinée dans l’expérience vécue, transformée en source de connaissances sur le monde.     Transclass narratives in the light of autotheory: When Theory Serves to reveal the intimate. Faced with the observation of the predominant place of transclass literature in the editorial, literary and media field, this paper proposes to further explore its mechanisms by addressing it through the prism of autotheory (Fournier 2021). Autotheory can be defined as the incorporation of theory into an intimate narrative or a work of art with a marked personal dimension. Conversely, the term can also be applied to texts with a theoretical vocation in which the author theorizes from lived experiences. Transclass narratives often correspond to this hybridization: indeed, changing one’s social class requires for those who go through it a retreat, an understanding, an analysis in order to better grasp the world around them, as well as their inner world, crossed by ambivalent feelings. Even if it is not named by transclass authors, autotheory seems to impose itself and help them to take a critical look at their existence. We propose here to approach it via the works of Didier Eribon and Édouard Louis. In this paper, we look at how the two authors develop a self-reflection that can be read through the prism of autotheory. We thus examine its markers and functioning, showing how this notion renews our take on transclass life paths. REZUMAT. Narațiuni ale schimbării de clasă socială prin prisma autoteoriei: teoria ca instrument de revelare a spațiului intim. Pornind de la predominanța în câmpul editorial, literar și mediatic a unei literaturi centrate pe trecerea de la o clasă socială la alta, studiul de față își propune să aprofundeze felul în care aceasta funcționează, abordând-o prin prisma noțiunii de autoteorie (Fournier 2021). Autoteoria poate fi definită ca încorporarea teoriei într-o narațiune intimă sau într-o operă de artă cu o însemnată dimensiune personală. In același timp, termenul poate fi aplicat și la textele cu vocație teoretică în care autorul sau autoarea teoretizează pornind de la experiențe trăite. Narațiunile centrate pe schimbarea clasei sociale corespund adesea acestei hibridizări: trecerea de la o clasă socială la alta implică într-adevăr, pentru subiect, o formă de retragere, necesitatea de a înțelege și de a o analiza pentru a putea descifra mai bine lumea din jur, dar și lumea interioară, traversată de sentimente ambivalente. Chiar dacă autorii acestui tip de literatură nu o numesc „autoteorie”, autoteoria pare să se impună de la sine, făcând posibilă o analiză critică a propriei existențe. Ne propunem aici să abordăm aceste aspecte prin intermediul textelor lui Didier Eribon și Édouard Louis. În acest studiu, vom urmări felul în care cei doi autori dezvoltă o reflecție asupra sinelui care poate fi citită prin prisma autoteoriei. Vom lua în considerare modalitățile sale de expresie și de funcționare, pentru a demonstra cum această perspectivă poate schimba felul în care înțelegem operele literare contemporane.     Women’s Diary-Film in the Light of Autotheory: Stories of the “Bad Gender”. A genre popularised by Jonas Mekas in the 1950s, the film-diary stands on the fringes of Hollywood cinema and its social, political and cultural norms, as well as its aesthetic and narrative conventions. This model of low-cost filmmaking helped to give women access to filmmaking, but also to assert their sexual communities. Autotheory, as a reflexive movement, seems to be able to shed critical light on the way in which these filmed diaries, which are themselves labile works combining personal experience and conceptual thought, resonate with social and political issues. We will be looking at the artistic devices put in place by Sophie Calle in No Sex Last Night (1996), Françoise Romand in Thème Je (2004) and Dominique Cabrera in Grandir (2013). The aim is to analyse the way in which this private cinema, produced by women artists at a relatively advanced age, is an opportunity for them to reflect retrospectively on their biography, their practice and their status as women. The filmic devices, in close dialogue with other media, notably text, provide the backdrop for a critical, feminist discourse on female socialisation and intimate relationships with oneself, one’s body and one’s loved ones. REZUMAT. Jurnalul video feminin din perspectiva autoteoriei: narațiunile unui „mauvais genre”. Gen popularizat de Jonas Mekas în anii 1950, jurnalul video se situează la granița cinematografiei hollywoodiene și a normelor sociale, politice și culturale, precum și a convențiilor sale estetice și narative. Acest cinema „low-cost” a facilitat accesul femeilor în domeniul cinematografiei, dar a contribuit și la afirmarea apartenenței realizatorilor la o comunitate sexuală sau alta. Autoteoria, ca practică reflexivă, e în măsură să pună într-o lumină critică modul în care aceste jurnale video, ele însele opere fragile care combină experiența personală și gândirea conceptuală, rezonează cu problematici sociale și politice. Astfel, articolul de față analizează dispozitivele artistice propuse de Sophie Calle în No Sex Last Night (1996), de Françoise Romand în Thème Je (2004) și de Dominique Cabrera în Grandir (2013). Vom analiza modul în care acest cinema intim, produs de femei artiste la o vârstă relativ înaintată, le oferă prilejul de a se raporta retrospectiv la propria biografie, la practicile artistice și la propria condiție feminină. Dispozitivele cinematografice, în strâns dialog cu alte medii, în special cu textul, formează contextul unui discurs critic și feminist privind socializarea feminină și raporturile intime cu propriu „eu” , cu propriul corp și cu cei apropiați.     STORY GRAMMAR AS A STRATEGY FOR ENHANCING NARRATIVE SKILLS IN THE CASE OF L2 ROMANIAN ADULT LEARNERS

    Story Grammar as a Strategy for Enhancing Narrative Skills in the Case of L2 Romanian Adult Learners. The present study analyses the storytelling abilities of L2 Romanian learners, students enrolled in the Preparatory Program for Foreign Citizens at Babeș-Bolyai University. It aims to give an interpretation across Story Grammar (SG) episodes of three stories from Mercer Mayer’s Frog Stories to track the development of the L2 Romanian oral productions, namely the macrostructure of the Story Grammar (SG) constituents and the microstructure of the temporal, causal, and additive cohesion markers. The spoken corpus, a small L2 Romanian corpus of pictured-based oral productions, was the data source for the research. The stories were assessed progressively, from level A2 to level B2, and the scoring model and methodology focused on the macrostructure of the L2 oral productions and the overall organisation, at the same time, aiming to outline the milestones reached by students as evidence that made possible the provision of sufficient granularity to the data assessment. The results showed that teaching narrative strategies to students who learn a second language is a necessary step if one aims to impact the development of their ability to tell and retell and give them (self)assessment instruments that can foster access to SG strategy in L2 and provide tools for optimising structural organisation when producing oral or written texts in L2. The results regarding their narrative skills became valuable for improving teaching methods that enhance storytelling strategies in L2 Romanian. Gramatica Poveștii (GP) ca strategie de îmbunătățire a abilităților narative în cazul adulților care învață limba română ca limbă străină (L2). Studiul de față analizează abilitățile narative ale studenților care învață limba română ca limbă străină (L2), studenți înscriși în Programul de An Pregătitor pentru Cetățeni Străini de la Universitatea Babeș-Bolyai. Scopul acestuia este de a interpreta datele extrase din înregistrarea a trei povești din seria Frog Stories, de Mercer Mayer, pentru a urmări modul în care sunt procesate unitățile narative, specifice GP, în raport cu progresul în limba română ca L2, punând accent pe elemente de macrostructură, cum ar fi constituenții GP, și microstructură, prin analizarea elementelor care marchează coeziunea în textele produse de către participanții la studiu, de la un nivel de limbă la altul. Sursa datelor a fost un corpus oral redus, alcătuit din producții orale bazate pe imagini. Poveștile au fost evaluate progresiv, de la nivelul A2 la B2. La nivel macrostructural, producțiile orale au vizat organizarea generală, urmărind totodată să evidențieze și etapele semnificative atinse de către studenți, astfel încât să ofere suficientă granularitate în evaluarea datelor. Rezultatele au demonstrat că exersarea strategiilor narative în cazul studenților care învață limba română ca limbă străină este necesară pentru dezvoltarea abilității lor de a povesti și de a repovesti, pentru a le oferi instrumente de (auto)evaluare care să faciliteze accesul la strategiile GP în L2 și pentru a le furniza instrumente eficiente în vederea optimizării modului de organizare la nivel de structură narativă în L2. Concluziile privind abilitățile narative ale studenților s-au dovedit valoroase pentru îmbunătățirea metodelor didactice și pentru eficientizarea strategiilor narative în limba română ca L2.     Ma-Minda starlikeness of certain analytic functions

    A normalized analytic function defined on the open unit disc D is called Ma-Minda starlike if zf ′(z)/f(z) is subordinate to the function φ. For a normalized convex function f defined on D and α > 0, we determine the radius of Ma-Minda starlikeness of the function g defined as g(z) = (zf ′(z)/f(z))α f(z) for certain choices of φ.
