Oxidative stress, apoptosis and cellular proliferation in uterus exposed to endocrine-active compounds - an ex vivo study on sow-fed and formula-fed piglets - research data
Our study investigates whether neonatal exposure to endocrine-active compounds that modulate androgen and estrogen signaling induces oxidative stress and disrupts cellular proliferation and apoptosis in the developing porcine uterus. Furthermore, we hypothesize that these effects differ between piglets fed maternal milk and those receiving a milk replacer. To test this, we employed an ex vivo model to assess the solely effects of the antiandrogen 2-hydroxyflutamide, the environmental estrogen 4-tert-octylphenol, and the organochlorine insecticide methoxychlor metabolite 2,2-bis-(p-hydroxyphenyl)-1,1,1-trichloroethane (HPTE), which exhibits mixed steroidal properties (estrogenic, antiestrogenic and/or antiandrogenic), on oxidative stress, apoptosis, and cellular proliferation in uterine explants from 10-day-old sow-fed or formula-fed piglets. The dataset includes results from the quantification of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species levels and antioxidant enzyme activities, identification and measurement of proliferating and apoptotic cells via immunohistochemistry and TUNEL assays, and semi-quantitative analysis of apoptosis- and proliferation-associated protein abundance using Western blotting

Elevated atmospheric CO2 alters the multi-element stoichiometry of pollen-bearing oak flowers, with possible negative effects on bees - raw data
Dataset for the article titled “Elevated atmospheric CO2 alters the multi-element stoichiometry of pollen-bearing oak flowers, with possible negative effects on bees”. Dataset contains elemental concentration data for 12 elements (C, N, P, S, K, Na, Ca, Mg, Cu, Zn, Fe, and Mn) measured in pollen-bearing flowers of pedunculate oak (Quercus robur). Samples were collected from both ambient CO2 (aCO2) and elevated CO2 (eCO2) treatments at the Birmingham Institute of Forest Research (BIFoR) Free Air Carbon Enrichment (FACE) facility. The measurements were performed at Jagiellonian University

Inhibition of BTK and SYK attenuates Porphyromonas gingivalis-induced activation of the pyroptosis pathway and inflammation in host cells - raw data
The dataset contains raw and processed data collected during the NCN Preludium (number 2022/45/N/NZ5/02779), NCN Sonata (number 2020/39/D/NZ5/02075), and NCN Opus (number 2021/43/B/NZ5/03165), and underlying the publication "Inhibition of BTK and SYK attenuates Porphyromonas gingivalis-induced activation of the pyroptosis pathway and inflammation in host cells". The dataset includes microplate assays: ELISA, LDH assay, real time annexin V apoptosis and necrosis assay, caspase-1 activity assay, and ROS production assay; flow cytometry analysis of fibroblast and macrophage viability, bacteria internalization and macrophage phenotype, qPCR analysis, and Western Blot analysis of protein expression. The data were obtained from biological replicates
