Get PDFFollowing the launch in March 1992 of its Local Health Charter "Yours for Life" the Board has for the first time set clear performance standards in terms of the waiting time targets and guarantees for our patients. The full details of the Board's overall performance against the targets and guarantees are set out in Pages 18 to 24. I am pleased to report that with the exception of a few cases we met our targets and guarantees for the year. In the 49 cases where we failed, patients were treated in the next 3 months. These figures do not include plastic surgery and coloproctology cases which were excluded from our guarantee scheme. The board is seeking to recruit additional consultants in these specialties
