Mid point evaluation of triumph health project final report
Get PDFIn April 1995, Market Research Scotland Ltd. were commissioned by the Health Promotion Department of Greater Glasgow Health Board to conduct a research project investigating various aspects of the Triumph Health Project. Get PDFTo create a set of cost-effective purchasing proposals aimed at achieving a health gain for elderly people in the Greater Glasgow Health Board area that reflects their needs as determined from epidemiological data, scientific literature, local professional opinion, consumer satisfaction surveys and market research. These proposals are prioritised by year of recommended implementation for the next two years, and are categorised on the basis of having high, low or no cost implications.
For the purposes of this report Health Gain is used as a summary term to encompass the extension of life expectancy by further reductions in all-cause and disease-specific mortality rates in the various age bands within the over 65 year population; reductions in morbidity experienced in life as measured by reported episodes of acute or chronic ill health or GP consultation rate; and the enhancement of the Quality of life as measured by subjectively experienced satisfaction reported in consumer or patient surveys. The WHO definition of Health will be born in mind where applicable throughout the report in that health gain or improvements in well-being will be sought in the physical, mental and social state of elderly peopl
