Health and homelessness needs assessment
This report aims to explain and clarify the health needs of the homeless population within Argyll
and Clyde by involving service users and the wider community of homeless people. This is
placed within the context of existing knowledge and understanding of health and homelessness,

Drug and alcohol issues affecting Pakistani, Indian and Chinese young people and their communities: a study in Greater Glasgow final report
The primary reason for undertaking this research was a recognition that patterns of drug and alcohol use, awareness of issues and attitudes to service provision in Black and Minority Ethnic communities have not been examined in detail and there was little information specifically about Greater Glasgow. The research was targeted primarily at young people (aged 16-25) in the Chinese, Indian and Pakistani communities in Greater Glasgow and was conducted from December 2001 to June 2002. Parents and Key Infonnants in the focus groups and interviews gave information about young people and also about the experiences of people outwith this age range

Health and well-being survey 2002 (1999 baseline follow up)
The study reported here is the first follow-up of the 1999 baseline Health and Well-being Study. It provides the opportunity to monitor the core indicators and assess changes over time. (This will be the first of several follow-up studies to be conducted approximately every three years.) A working group established to facilitate this study has members who have extensive experience with survey research and includes Senior Research Officers from Health Promotion and Information Services, a Principal Health Promotion Officer, the Acting Director of Health Promotion, and a representative from both the Glasgow Alliance and the Public Health Institute of Scotland
