The key aims of the research project were to: identify the perceived health needs of asylum seekers and refugees in North Glasgow; explore addiction issues in asylum seeker and refugee communities within North Glasgow; identify barriers to accessing current services with a view to informing future service planning and service delivery; enable the development of services that are sensitive and able to meet identified needs

The health and well-being survey was conducted in 1999, 2002 and 2005. It is a unique document that gives a picture of personal perceptions of health and illness; use of health services; health behaviours; social health and social capital of the residents of NHS Greater Glasgow. It is used to set targets and establish action plans for health improvement projects across the area. This is the third report, some trends are starting to emerge
South Lanarkshire Citizen's Panel report on fifth quality of life survey 2005
The findings from the 2004 are different from the 2002 in aspects such as the slightly lower ratings of neighbourhood and the wider local area. Despite this positive ratings of services were appreciably higher as were the perceived seriousness of local problems. Satisfaction with housing, levels of recycling, levels of training and general health also increased. All other findings were generally consistent with those in 2002
