    An evaluation of the North East Glasgow pilot of the gender friendly nursery programme

    The Gender Friendly Nursery (GFN) was delivered as a pilot programme in North East Glasgow from October 2016-April 2018. The GFN programme was developed and delivered by North East Health Improvement staff with the support and advice of national organisations with an interest in improving gender equality. An idea was mooted about an award, in keeping with the Breastfeeding Friendly Award, which recognised good practice around gender in early years settings. A steering group composed of representatives of the organisations mentioned above met to discuss, and the Gender Friendly Nursery programme was created

    Report prepared by Scott Porter Research and Marketing Limited: NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s Staff Health Strategy has driven NHS GGC’s approach to workforce health since 2008. The Staff Health Strategy identifies Financial Inclusion as a priority. The NHS GGC board currently commissions and provides financial inclusion services for patients. These services are also available for staff but to effectively support staff there is a need to better understand the financial issues they face. Research was therefore needed to understand how NHS GGC can help and support staff with money worries and to assist in the development of an appropriate and effective approach by NHS GGC as an employer
