    Within Glasgow City there are three Health Improvement Teams; South, North East and North West. In addition, there are hosted services, NHSGGC Board wide services that are integral to health improvement work in the city, these services being Sexual Health, Alcohol and Drugs and Mental Health improvement. The report highlights the work that Health Improvement has led on or been involved in supporting throughout the pandemic. In Glasgow city, Health Improvement's vision is to improve health and reduce health inequalities

    The impact of the Covid 19 pandemic had profound effects on the population, with those facing inequalities pre pandemic being disproportionately affected. This discussion report was prepared during the pandemic to generate discussion and debate from those with an interest in health to inform a city recovery plan in keeping with the national ambition. The learning from this discussion will be used to reshape the direction of prevention and well-being action in Glasgow

    The Health Improvement Team for sexual health is a specialist team working on a pan Greater Glasgow and Clyde basis. The team is hosted by Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) and is part of Sandyford, the sexual and reproductive health service for the GGC area. The team works to improve the sexual health and wellbeing of the population, reduce inequalities and influence a culture that is positive and non stigmatising about sexuality and relationships. The annual report for the year 2020/21, provides a summary of what the team was able to deliver during the year of the COVID 19 pandemic while attempting to keep working through fluctuating periods of restrictions. This inevitably means the report is less about quantity and more about what we did to adapt and keep going

    The Project engaged with 46 parents and carers between September 2018 and April 2019 to understand their lived experience of how Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) structures, policies and practices affect low income households and where financial barriers to participation exist throughout the nursery day. The Project also engaged with Glasgow City Council (GCC) ELC staff to explore their role in mitigating the effects of poverty on families enrolled with their establishments. This report recommends potential modifications in ELC policies and practices which could be considered to help lessen the financial burden on families
