Public High Schools Online Library System PHOLS
Over time, information and communication technology (ICT) have shown unprecedented changes to the services ad operations of modern libraries.Today, carrying out library task and services through information and communication technology (ICT) are established to complement all types of libraries, but still unsubstantiated in the majority of school libraries. The Library Information Library Information System aids in borrowing and re- turning books and reading materials via shopping cart and provides an organized tool in performing library tasks and services in public high schools from basic to complementary. The librarian can add newly acquired library materials in the online catalog.Library users can easily track reading materials usage and availability through the system. The librarian can monitor users overdue books and reading materials borrowed by users. Inventory Re- port generation in Portable Data Format (PDF),for submission purposes, can be done by the system without manual counting
Missing Persons and Wanted Fugitives Information and Reporting System Using Face Recognition for Cross-Matching
The Philippine National Police does not have a system of organizing missing per- sons report and also still relies on primitive ways of publicizing identities of missing persons and wanted fugitives. This study proposes an information system which would serve as a centralized database for cases of missing persons. The system would serve as online publicization of cases of missing persons and wanted fugitves and would also allow the public to send tips about said cases. The system includes a face recognition module implemented using Local Binary Patterns for case cross-matching which is also as a method of information retrieval using image
Geotechnical Investigation Reports Generator for LA Global EDCC
Geotechnical Investigation Reports Generator is a web-based computational and information system that computes necessary calculations and generates geotech- nical investigation reports for LA Global EDCC’s site investigation projects
Social Protection and Support Initiative (SPSI): SAGIP Information System version 2.0 Registration Module and Referral Module
Social Protection and Support Initiative (SPSI) is a collaborative project between Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Department of Health (DOH) aimed at delivering better and coordinated social protection services using ICT solutions to improve the well-being and economic status of targeted poor families and individuals. Currently, a version of Sigurado at Garantisadong Insurance Pangkalusugan (SAGIP), one of the components of SPSI, is in place but is unusable due to a number of technical challenges that hinder its deployment. SAGIP version 2.0 aims to improve on the existing version to enable the constituent agencies of SPSI to effectively and efficiently deliver social services to the Filipino people. One of its key module is the Referral module which transfer referrals between the three departments. Aside from the referral, this project also focuses on the Registration Module which handles the digital member registration of PhilHealth
Dee Hwa Liong Academy Virtual Classroom
The Dee Hwa Liong Academy Virtual Classroom is an online (although also accessible offline) student and faculty learning portal. The aim of the system is to create a bridge between students and faculty whenever direct confrontation is not applicable. The system also patterns existing learning portals such as Moodle, Genyo, and Blackboard, but is customized to suit the requirements of the client, Dee Hwa Liong Academy
Shoot UP Manila Event Documentation Request and Membership Performance Tracking System
The Shoot UPM Event Request and Performance Tracking System, a web-based application, uses various frameworks and libraries necessary to encapsulate all of the organization’s major internal processes in an organized manner. The said technology enables the members of the organization to keep all of their event documentation processes well monitored, and have a keener and easier way to evaluate the performance of all of its members
Secure Computation Outsourcing of Genome-Wide Association Studies Using Homomorphic Encryption
One of the major problems in genomic research is the delivery of necessary compu- tational power to process extremely large genomic datasets. While cloud comput- ing provides the computing resources needed for such a scenario, the outsourcing of data processing raises a broad range of security and privacy issues as genomic data contain highly sensitive information. This study provides a cryptographic solu- tion to the problem using Paillier scheme. We developed a GWAS computing tool that uses a third-party server to perform genomic computations over encrypted genomic datasets without requiring the decryption key or having any interaction with the data owner; thus preserving the privacy of genomic data
University of the Philippines - Manila Learning Resource Center Tutorial Management System
The University of the Philippines-Manila offers tutoring services at its own Learning Resource Center (LRC). The tutoring service is a peer and/or faculty- assisted small group discussion offered free to all graduating students. Besides the tutorial services, there are also simulated exams to give students a preview of the department exams in Natural Sciences and Mathematics. Scheduling tutorial sessions, applying for simulated examinations, and applying to become student tutors has always been done manually at the LRC. Manual operations lead to inefficiency, misinformation due to human error, and reduced accesibility. To contribute to improving the quality of services offered by the LRC, this project aims to deliver an online information system that is capable of automating these services
Online Portal for Provincial Buses and Terminals (OPPBT)
The Online Portal for Provincial Buses and Terminals (OPPBT) is a system that manages bus, terminals, routes, and other types of records and display these information as a way to help the public in searching for terminals with available buses
Integrated Food and Waterborne Diseases Geographic Information System (IFGIS)
The issue on food and waterborne diseases is a large and spreading global pub- lic health problem. An integrated food chain surveillance system was suggested by the WHO to monitor food and waterborne disease, integrated with food monitoring data along the entire food chain; food, animals, humans. By monitoring animals, food, and humans, the burden of disease could be easily attributed to specific food categories. By integrating other institutions from the Department of Health and Department of Agriculture under one information system, monitoring of the different food sources for the presence of microbial agents is easily achieved. Major public health priorities are identified. Moreover, it allows easy identification of the cause by providing etiology-specific outputs. Using a GIS to plot cases of microbial agents of food and waterborne diseases together with data on different food sources, gives health workers and the public a much clearer understanding of the possible causes of the disease. Patterns and trends would be easier to see in a GIS, highlighting health priorities and speeding up policy making
