THE IMPACT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ON THE EFFICIENCY AND CREATIVITY OF GRAPHIC DESIGN AND MOTION GRAPHICS IN THE ADVERTISING FIELD

    No full text
This study examines the effects of artificial intelligence (AI) techniques on motion graphics and graphic design in advertising. The researcher asked 49 professionals in the field to respond to a survey regarding using artificial intelligence (AI) tools such as Canva AI and Adobe Firefly. Regarding the results, AI can increase performance by automating repetitive tasks and supporting innovation by trying out new ideas. On the other hand, some are concerned because its output is algorithm-driven, and it could decrease uniqueness. The study concludes that while AI can be an advantageous design partner, human creativity is essential to maintaining designs' authenticity and distinctiveness in advertising

Average entropy and tail heaviness of bell-shaped distributions: graphs and calculations

    No full text
This paper introduces a **novel use of average entropy** as a robust and interpretable measure of tail heaviness in symmetric probability distributions, providing a unified method to identify distribution regions and compare tail weights objectively. This paper revisits the concept of average entropy, a functional measure of uncertainty introduced to address limitations in traditional entropy measures, particularly for continuous distributions. We investigate its utility as a consistent and interpretable measure of tail heaviness in bell-shaped probability distributions. Unlike kurtosis, which is undefined for many heavy-tailed distributions, average entropy is well-defined, location- and scale-invariant, and can be empirically estimated from data. We demonstrate that higher average entropy is associated with heavier distribution tails. This property is then used to define three canonical regions of the distribution: the peak, the shoulder, and the tail. The boundaries of these regions are identified in a consistent and unified manner across different distributions. These regions allow for objective comparisons of tail weight. The approach is applied to several well-known symmetric distributions, including the normal, student’s t, exponential power, logistic, and Cramér distributions. Additionally, we demonstrate a practical estimation method using histogram-based approximations. The findings establish average entropy as a robust measure complementing kurtosis for characterizing tail behavior in symmetric distributions.non

    The finale stadium

As Saudi Arabia prepares to host the FIFA World Cup, this stadium project in Jeddah addresses the pressing need for a world-class sports venue while positioning the city as a prime international events destination. Designed as a dynamic sports hub, it will host major matches, local tournaments, and youth programs to nurture the next generation of Saudi football talent, boosting tourism, economic growth, and cultural pride. Inspired by coral reefs and seashells, the architecture conveys strength, shelter, and a deep connection to the sea through flowing water features and a branching structural form. Guided by insights from Stadium 974 and Castelão Arena, the design integrates efficient crowd circulation, sustainable strategies, and a strong architectural identity, ensuring functionality, environmental responsibility, and enduring visual impact. We aimed to see the trend and geographic distribution of suicide research. We searched in Scopus to identify the articles published on suicide since 1991 and compared the country-wise output in regards to income and geographical location of the country. The study revealed more than twofold increase of articles from an earlier decade and a slight increased output from low and middle income countries (LMICs) over the decades. More than three-fourths of the articles published from top 15 countries where only two countries (India and China) from LMIC backgrounds were featured. About 85% of the papers were published from high-income countries, about 73% of the papers were published from Europe and North America, and about 78% of articles were published from two WHO regions (European Region and Regions of Americas). This study identifies an extreme disparity in research on suicide based on income and geographical locationN

Integration between Visual and Verbal Rhetorical Figures to Unveil the Double Entendre in Advertising Message

    No full text
The research topic, namely double entendre, is significant for designers because the audience is now highly aware and is extensively exposed to images and messages through both print and digital media. Therefore, we need to explore new visual and verbal forms and the relationships between them so that the audience understand the double meaning and consequently grasp the advertising message. This will positively affect their acceptance of the advertisement, leading to a favorable attitude towards the advertisement and the brand in general. Thus, the research problem is summarized in answering the following questions: 1. How can double entendre be utilized to support the positive impact of advertisements? 2. What are the visual and verbal formulations that achieve the double entendre of the advertising message? 3. How can the integration between image and message be achieved to enhance the double meaning of the advertising message? The research hypothesizes that: 1. Visual and verbal rhetorical figures achieve the double meaning of the advertising message. 2. The integrative relationship between image and message enhances the double meaning of the advertising message. Consequently, the research follows a descriptive approach to study the double entendre in advertising, the different visual and verbal formulations, and their integrative relationships to enhance double entendre, followed by an analytical study of local and global advertisements that carry double meaning, analyzing them visually and verbally. The study aims to reach that visual and verbal elements in advertisements can convey more than one meaning, amplifying the positive impact of the advertisement

Validation of the Perceived hope scale in Arabic-speaking adults living in Gaza in the midst of war, destruction and death.

    No full text
Despite its obvious relevance for clinical practice and research, it is surprising that presently no hope measure is available for use among Arabic-speaking populations, especially the most vulnerable ones who have been going through major humanitarian crises. This paper aimed to provide novel insights into psychometric information on the psychometric properties of an Arabic translation of the Perceived Hope Scale (PHS) in Palestinians living in Gaza who have endured several months of suffering since the war began in October 2023.This study had a cross-sectional design and applied a quantitative research approach. It was carried-out over a one-month period (September 2024) using an anonymous self-report questionnaire that was shared through social networks and the snowball sampling technique. A total of 534 Arabic-speaking Palestinian adults aged over 18 years and currently living in Gaza took part in the study. We conducted a confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) via the SPSS AMOS v.29 software, using the maximum likelihood method to obtain parameters estimates. The fit indices of the one-factor solution reached the standards of good model fit, with excellent internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha = 0.90). Invariance was established in our sample at the configural, metric and scalar levels in terms of gender groups. PHS scores significantly and positively correlated with religiosity, resilience and post-traumatic growth. In addition, PHS inversely correlated with anxiety and depression.Overall, our results add to the measurement assessment of the PHS, lending further support to its value as a sound measure to assess perceived hope in a new context and cultural background of Arabic-speaking adults and fragile survivors of several decades of war that dramatically escalated over the past months

Ensuring Sustainable Safety in Fine-Grained Android Permission Model: Decidability through Finite Attribute Range Constraints

    No full text
When Android was first introduced, it permitted unrestricted access to all installed applications, posing significant security risks. In one of our previous works, we proposed, implemented, and demonstrated a comprehensive model capable of restricting access to sensitive permissions based on granular constraints. This model was partially adopted by Android and is now a standard feature in all modern Android-based systems. However, the flexibility of this model introduces a critical issue: the safety of the model. A model’s safety determines whether the policies enforced by the model achieve the desired security goals. In this paper, we investigate the safety and undecidability problems associated with the model and demonstrate that, in its full form, the model is undecidable. To ensure creation and maintenance of sustainable security policies at both the individual and enterprise level, we propose the addition of a Finite Attribute Range Constraint, which renders the model both decidable and safe
