The Lisfranc joint damage that I weighed from the classification of hardcastle, the both sides of the classification of Nunley : Limit of Lisfranc joint damage nonoperative
Background: Injuries of the Lisfranc joint are uncommon, and there are dislocation, fracture, ligament damage, etc. The classification of Hardcastle, and the classification of Nunley is widely known for Lisfranc joint dislocation-fracture or ligament damage. However, a clear boundary to the selection of operative or nonoperative treatment was not clear in both situstions. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to make clear the border of the operative and the nonoperative treatment by using classifications of Nunley and Hardcastle. Cases and Result: Consider medical treatment progress of three different cases from both the classification of Hardcastle, and the classification of Nunley. Document and consideration is added to the result of the examination. Case 1 judged as in the classification TypeB of Hardcastle and the classification Stage I of Nunley took seven weeks for the recovery. The classification was Type C of Hardcastle and Stage I of Nunley in case 2, and 13 weeks were required for the recovery. Although The Case 3, not dislocated and of classification of,classification StageII of Nunley, took seven weeks for the recovery. Conclusion: Even if reposition rank is provided for Stage III by the classification of Nunley, case belong to Type A of Hardcastle, should be treated operatively. The present results, suggest that reposition is provided in Type B and Type C of Hardcastle, and, as for Stage I・II of Newley with detachment bone fractures by the Lisfranc ligament, non'operative treatment is indicated. However, case in which reposition rank is not provided, and the case of Stage III of Nunley must be operated.departmental bulletin pape
On the Decision Time of the Intuitionistic Propositional Logic
Last year, we argued about the decision time of the classical logic. In this paper, we argue about the decision time of the intuitionistic propositional logic. There are the sequents which we are not able to decide the provability in the case of the intuitionistic logic, in contrast with the classical logic. So, we restrict to sequents to be composed only formulas which have not the plural negation (the left side does not contain the negation in the implication). Then, we can deside the provability of sequent within the exponential time.departmental bulletin pape
Histological Study of the Exogenous Chemical Effects on Mouse Testis
Several hormonal and hormone-like exogenous chemicals have been reported to induce the adverse effects of male-reproductive-tissue-development. The ectoplasmic specialization between the Sertoli cell and spermatids (apical ES) is a unique actin based on the junctional structure, which is located at the apical area in the seminiferous tubules. The present study reveals that the effects of anti-androgen flutamide (FLUT) on ICR mouse testes. FLUT induced the deletion of apical ES and the deformation of acrosome of spermatids in the mouse testes. The results suggest the relationship between the levels of testes and the histological changes of testes. Further, the effect of FLUT was seriously bad by the estrogen. The percentages of abnormal spermatids were increased in the FLUT + estrogen treatment rather than in the single treatment of FLUT. The present study may be a key to elucidate the exogenous chemical action of the testis.departmental bulletin pape
Effects of the cuff width on the measurement of blood pressure in female university students
The blood pressure cuff must have the correct width for the arm circumference, for if it is too narrow, the blood pressure reading will be erroneously higher ; if it is too wide, the reading may be erroneously lower. The purpose of this study is to identify the proper cuff width for measuring blood pressure of young adult women precisely. Using the cuff of 12cm (for adults) as the standard size and 9cm (for children) in width, we measured the blood pressure of 41 female university students. The mean arm circumference was 23.6cm requiring a cuff width of 9.4cm, because the cuff width should be 40% of the arm circumference. Therefore, we found that the standard cuff width of 12cm was too large for the subjects of our study. And, with standard cuff width (12cm), the mean systolic and diastolic blood pressure were underestimated by 7.7mmHg and 9.8mmHg, respectively. Such underestimation may lead to a misdiagnosis of pre-eclampsia, particularly in lean pregnant women.departmental bulletin pape
The Flatness of Painting and its Technique for Projecting the Sensations of Material Used on its Surface : An Empirical Investigation through the Act of Creation
The purpose of this paper is to discuss the flatness (two-dimensionality) of painting or the creation of such a pictorial dimension by the Japanese painters. The paper examines the material used for painting its physical surface in order to form a certain pictorial world that is in accordance with the Japanese aesthetic sensibility. It also attempts to investigate the process by which such a painting could create and project such sensations of material used on its surface. The paintings after Impressionism eliminated the traditional concept of linear perspective. This new concept of pictorial dimension, or flatness in painting, derived from historical interactions between movements in arts, science, physics, psychology, and philosophy. I think it would be significant to examine the new expressive style displayed in the paintings of the contemporary Japanese artists by looking at Japonism in particular: the artistic movement which played the role of a forerunner in establishing this new concept of artistic dimension. At the same time, I would like to introduce the technique used for casein painting (one of the techniques used for tempera painting by emulsifying casein) which I regard as the best medium for both achieving and expressing flatness. This principal technique connects the Eastern and the Western approach to flatness. Furthermore, its original creation of color effects delivers the aesthetics common to Japanese paintings. The paper consists of the following five sections to examine the theme mentioned above.1) Introduction 2) The flatness of painting and the formation of pictorial dimension. 3) The concept of pictorial dimension by the Japanese artists. 4) The technique used for casein and tempera painting. Evaluation of the Multiple Human Anatomical Views for Co-medical Students
The human gross anatomy is one of the important courses for a co-medical worker, such as a physical therapist, a sports trainer or a nurse. Similarly, the students at a co-medical school should learn the human gross anatomy course. To improve understanding of the human body, the educational human dissection view is important to translate the human structure into some optical information. In the present study, the survey was performed on the students in the school of physical therapy who took part in the educational human dissection tour at Chiba University. The total number of answers was 88 and the reply percentage was 77.2% (68 persons ; male=50, female=18). The 92.6% of students had interest in the anatomy and felt that their understanding of the structure of a human body was improved. Further, the students who had participated in the dissection for several times showed more understanding of the views. The results suggested that the multiple experience of the human anatomical views isuseful for the co-medical students to improve the quality of their understanding ofthe human body.departmental bulletin pape
