明治期の八重山語の語彙資料『海南諸島單語篇』
Get PDFapplication/pdf本稿では、明治期の八重山語（石垣島方言）の語彙資料の手書き原稿の翻刻を提示する。『海南諸島單語篇』（副題『沖縄懸下八重山島單語』）と題する本資料は植物学者の田代安定が1880年代に実施した実地調査に基づいて作成したもので、現在、東京大学理学図書館で保管されている。この資料は収録語数が800語を超えており、また、表記が八重山語の重要な音韻的対立を反映している。このように、八重山語の纏まった正確な語彙資料として最古のものであると考えられる。このため、八重山語の研究および研究史にとって極めて重要な価値がある。articl
