No full textŠiame duomenų rinkinyje pateikiami Europos socialinio tyrimo 4 bangos vykdytos Lietuvoje pagrindinio ir papildomo klausimyno duomenys. Duomenų rinkinį sudarė tyrimą vykdžiusi organizacija UAB „Baltijos tyrimai“, o jį sutvarkė ESS Nacionalinis koordinatorius Lietuvoje ir Lietuvos HSM duomenų archyvo (LiDA) darbuotojai.
Europos socialinis tyrimas (ESS) yra mokslininkų inicijuota daugelį šalių apimanti apklausa, jau atlikta daugiau nei trisdešimtyje skirtingų Europos šalių. Pagrindiniai tyrimo tikslai yra trys:
fiksuoti ir interpretuoti besikeičiančias Europos visuomenių nuostatas ir vertybes bei stebėti, kaip jos sąveikauja su kintančiomis Europos institucijomis,
kurti ir tobulinti pažangius tarpkultūrinių apklausų atlikimo metodus Europoje ir pasaulyje,
sukurti Europos socialinių indikatorių kolekciją, apimančią nuostatų rodiklius.
Ketvirtoji tyrimo banga vykdyta 31 šalyje taikant itin griežtas apklausų atlikimo metodikas. Tyrimą finansavo Europos Komisijos 6-oji bendroji programa, Europos mokslo fondas ir nacionalinės institucijos kiekvienoje atskiroje šalyje. Jis vykdytas laikantis tik atsitiktinių tikimybinių atrankos sudarymo principų, siekiant 70% grįžtamumo ir naudojant griežtai apibrėžtus klausimynų vertimo protokolus. Valandos trukmės tiesioginiame interviu respondentai atsakinėja į nuolatinius pagrindinio klausimyno klausimus, kurie kartojami kiekvienoje bangoje, o taip pat į klausimus, kuriuos kiekvienai bangai paruošia skirtingos mokslininkų grupės. Ketvirtojoje bangoje įtraukti du kintantys klausimų blokai „Diskriminacija dėl amžiaus“ ir „Socialinės gerovės nuostatos“. Pabaigoje respondentai atsako į papildomo klausimyno klausimus, kurie apima žmogiškųjų vertybių bloką ir pagrindinio klausimyno klausimų validumą bei patikimumą testuojančius klausimus

No full textInformation of 6th wave ESS field work is presented in this data set. Information about contextual events according to media claims coding methodology in main chapters (in first pages of national news) of two biggest daily newspapers of Lithuania - "Respublika" and "Lietuvos rytas". Gathering of contextual event was carried out 10 weeks (May-August 2013), daily newspaper issues of work days were analysed only. When doing expert analysis of content of published articles, only thematically connected media news with main questionnaire of ESS 6th wave were selected and coded to SPSS file according to preliminary coding scheme.
This data set is dedicated to assess significant and important things that happened in national or international level during the time of the survey. That is why this data can be used in order to explain differences of "normal" and "exclusive" attitudes of residents between different ESS waves in a specific country and between countries.
This dataset was created using version 3.0 of the integrated data file of countries participating in the ESS Round 6 (Lithuanian data) published in the ESS Data Archive on 2014-09-16. </p
Goals Lab: Adolescent Survey, October 2019 - April 2021
No full textThe purpose of the study: to explore the development of 15-16-year-olds' ability to set goals for their future, match them with their achievements, and cope with a rapidly changing and contrasting social and economic environment.
The key tasks of this study were: (1) to identify the dynamics of personal goals formation during adolescence; (2) to assess the effects of the main contextual factors (family, school, peers) and individual characteristics on goal formation during adolescence; (3) to evaluate the effects of objective and subjective aspects of socio-economic and cultural background on the content and processes of goal formation during adolescence.
This is the first large-scale longitudinal panel study on adolescents' goal formation in Lithuania. The study was carried out over two years (2019-2021), during which, 1268 adolescents studying in 36 gymnasiums located in different areas of Lithuania, participated in four assessments. The first survey took place in October-November 2019 before the onset of the pandemic. The second survey took place five months later, in the spring of 2020 (end of April- early May), during the first pandemic wave. The third survey took place in October-November 2020 at the onset of the second wave of the pandemic. The fourth took place in the spring of 2021 (March-April) during the decline of the second wave of the pandemic. All four surveys were similarly spaced out with a median difference of 23-24 weeks.
The sample is diverse in terms of family and socio-economic backgrounds. Through a multi-stage sampling procedure, 14 out of the 60 Lithuanian urban and rural municipalities were selected based on balanced quotas for socioeconomic indicators and school achievement levels (low, medium, and high). Gymnasiums in selected municipalities were then chosen based on their size and school achievement levels to ensure diversity in the sample. Three of the initially contacted 39 gymnasiums did not participate in the study.

No full textThe purpose of the study: to provide impartial information for the school, its students, and their parents (caregivers, foster parents) about the achievements to make decisions on the further improvements of teaching and studying on student, teacher, class, school, municipality, and national level.
The objectives of National Survey of Student Achievement (NASA):
to collect the information for monitoring the national students’ achievements, planning the novelties, and implementing the novelties for monitoring the success;
to evaluate the educational content, and substantiating students’ achievement criteria based on collected data;
to prepare the necessary tools (i.e., standardized tests, etc.) for students and teachers for the impartial evaluation of their work results;
to prepare the necessary tools (i.e., standardized tests, etc.) for the municipality’s education subdivisions and school principals for collecting the required data of work result assessments and planning of activities.
National Survey of Student Achievement, first implemented in 2002, became the responsibility of the Education Supply Centre. Due to economic reasons, the assessments were not provided from 2009 to 2011. In 2012, the renewed assessment implementation was consigned to the National Examination Centre. Since the 2nd of September, 2019, the National Agency of Education took over the activities of the National Examination Centre and continues to carry them on to this day.
This dataset contains data from a survey of 8th grade teachers of the biology study.
All the provided questionnaire answers from teachers appear in teacher databases from the 2015 National Survey of Student Achievement. The same questionnaire was given to all the teachers. The teacher questionnaire consisted of general questions (to analyse the educational context), as well as personal questions or questions about the objective field.
Dataset "NSSA 2015: 8th Grade Teachers of the Biology Study, 2015" metadata and data were prepared implementing project "Disparities in School Achievement from a Person and Variable-Oriented Perspective: A Prototype of a Learning Analytics Tool NO-GAP" from 2020 to 2023. Project leader is chief research fellow Rasa Erentaitė. Project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund according to the 2014–2020 Operational Programme for the European Union Funds’ Investments, under measure’s No. 01.2.2-LMT-K-718 activity “Research Projects Implemented by World-class Researcher Groups to develop R&D activities relevant to economic sectors, which could later be commercialized” under a grant agreement with the Lithuanian Research Council (LMTLT)
