Psychometric Properties of the Turkish Version of the Movement Imagery Questionnaire for Children
Objective: The Movement Imagery Questionnaire for Children (MIQ-C) was developed as a tool to evaluate children's imagery capabilities. It comprises 3 subcomponents: internal visual imagery, external visual imagery, and kinesthetic imagery. This study aimed to cross-culturally adapt the MIQ-C to Turkish. Materials and Methods: A total of 120 healthy children (mean age 9.43 +/- 1.66 years; 67 males and 53 females) were enrolled. The structure of the questionnaire was confirmed by the use of both construct and criterion validity. The questionnaire was administered to the children at intervals of 1 week to assess internal consistency and test-retest reliability. Results: The confirmatory factor analysis validated the 3-factor construct of the MIQ-C, and the model showed a satisfactory fit to the data set. The internal consistency of the Turkish MIQ-C (Cronbach's alpha coefficient = 0.94) and the intraclass coefficient (ICC) reliability (ICC values ranging from 0.93 to 0.96) were found to be excellent. Conclusion: The present findings suggest that the Turkish version of the MIQ-C is a valid and reliable instrument for the assessment of imagery ability in Turkish-speaking children
Prevalence of Dental Anomalies in a Sample of Turkish Children: A Retrospective Study
Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of dental anomalies in Turkish children aged 2-14 years by panoramic radiographies. The most common dental anomaly, the frequency of multiple dental anomalies and gender differences were further evaluated. Methods: Two thousand and thirty panoramic radiographies were scanned by two experts in a dimly illuminated environment. Anomalies were recorded in the Excel table under six main groups and 21 subgroups: size, number, position, texture, shape and eruption anomalies. A chi-square test was used to analyze the data at p<0.05. Results: The mean age of the patients evaluated was 9.52 +/- 2.68 years, and the gender distribution was balanced. It was found that germ deficiency (8.3%) was the most prevalent anomaly. The most common type of anomaly was number anomaly (11.1%) in which no statistically differences were found between females and males (p<0.05). The germ deficiency was more common in the mandible, whereas microdontia, taurodontism, and dilaceration were more common in the maxilla. Additionally, 116 patients (6.1%) had multiple types of anomalies simultaneously. Conclusion: The prevalence of dental anomalies was found to be 23.7%. It is crucial for clinicians to detect these anomalies in their early stages, as they can potentially lead to a variety of clinical complications

Faunistic and Distributional Studies on the Family Buprestidae (Coleoptera) of Ankara Province (Türkiye)
Within the scope of this study, research on the family Buprestidae was carried out in Ankara province of Türkiye. A total of 44 species belonging to the five subfamilies and 14 genera were collected and identified during 2018 and 2019. Buprestinae was found to be the most diverse subfamily in the study area with 19 species belonging to three genera. In faunistic evaluations and discussions, species numbers and their distribution according to genera, subfamilies and districts of Ankara are given. Comparison of faunal similarities among the districts of Ankara showed that Beypazarı district has the highest species diversity. Distributional evaluations indicate that the Buprestidae fauna of Ankara exhibits the highest similarity with the fauna of the Eastern European subregion within the Palaearctic region.</p
Biopsychosocial-Based Exercise Model for Rheumatic Diseases Via Telerehabilitation: A Case Series with a One Year Follow Up
Purpose: This study aims to examine the sustainability of the biopsychosocial exercise performed by telerehabilitation on individuals with rheumatic disease, with and without supervision, and investigate the effect of the biopsychosocial-based exercise model on biopsychosocial status, general health status, and anxiety-depression levels of individuals. Method: Twenty patients with rheumatic diseases performed a biopsychosocial-based exercise model Cognitive Exercise Therapy Approach via telerehabilitation with physiotherapist-supervised and unsupervised exercises who continued for three sessions per week for 12 months. Outcome measures were Health Assessment Questionnaire, Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, and Cognitive Exercise Therapy Approach-Biopsychosocial Questionnaire. Patients were assessed at baseline, 3rd, 6th, 9th, and 12th months. Results: There was no significant difference by time for Health Assessment Questionnaire (p=0.512) and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale-anxiety and depression scores (p=0.162 and p=0.825, respectively) between the five measures at the one-year followup. Similarly, there is no significant difference in Cognitive Exercise Therapy Approach-Biopsychosocial Questionnaire score outcomes by time (p=0.184). Conclusion: In this study a group of rheumatic patients with face-to-face biopsychosocial exercise habits were able to maintain their exercise habits with realtime telerehabilitation with or without supervised during the 1-year follow-up period during the COVID-19 pandemic was shown. Although there was no improvement in the parameters during the pandemic period when social isolation and depression-anxiety disorders increased, the level of recovery which individuals had previously gained was not adversely affected and the healing properties were preserved with the help of telerehabilitation
Alginate and chitosan-coated ferulic acid-loaded selenium nanoparticles: synthesis, characterization, and anticancer activity against MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells
Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), characterized by its aggressive behavior and lack of targeted therapies, remains a major therapeutic challenge. This study presents the synthesis and evaluation of ferulic acid-loaded selenium nanoparticles (FA-SeNPs) coated with alginate (Alg@FA-SeNPs) and chitosan (CS@FA-SeNPs) as potential nanocarriers for TNBC treatment. Ferulic acid was selected for its pro-apoptotic and anti-metastatic properties, despite its limited bioavailability. Encapsulation in SeNPs enhanced its stability and delivery efficiency. Alg@FA-SeNPs exhibited greater cytotoxicity (IC50: 103.6 mu g/mL) than CS@FA-SeNPs (IC50: 178 mu g/mL) after 48 h. Gene expression analyses showed significant H2AX upregulation with Alg@FA-SeNPs, indicating genotoxic stress, and marked Bcl-2 downregulation with CS@FA-SeNPs, favoring apoptosis. Zeta potential measurements confirmed near-neutral surface charge for Alg@FA-SeNPs and strong positive charge for CS@FA-SeNPs, supporting good colloidal stability. These findings highlight the therapeutic promise of biopolymer-coated SeNPs, particularly alginate-coated formulations, as targeted drug delivery systems for TNBC
