In this study, research was conducted based on the opinions of occupational safety experts, technical personnel, and labor inspectors working in the sector to ensure a more effectivereporting of occupational accidents. Experts in the field know that certain shortcomings occurin the preparation of accident notification forms following occupational accidents. The mostprominent issue in this process is the lack of detailed information recorded regarding how theaccident occurred. The primary objective of the study is to establish a more effectiveoccupational accident reporting system that can be utilized for compiling occupational accidentstatistics, enhancing the reporting processes, and most importantly, preventing the recurrenceof such accidents. Within the scope of the research, current occupational accident reportingprocedures were analyzed, and deficiencies and areas needing improvement were identified. Moreover, experts’ evaluations were obtained regarding the content, preparation process, andstandardization of occupational accident notification forms. According to the findings of thestudy, experts emphasized that the lack of detailed explanations about the incident’s occurrence, the need for simplification of existing forms, the requirement for root cause analysis to bemandatory, and the necessity of sector-specific detailing are significant areas that requireimprovement. Additionally, it was suggested that individuals responsible for reporting shouldreceive specialized training and AI-supported modules should be employed in the reportingprocess. 94.3% of experts emphasized the need to simplify accident reporting forms, 88.6%highlighted that data should be transparent and openly accessible, 77.1% stated that it isimportant for reporting forms to be prepared by professionals, and 80% emphasized that thesection explaining how the incident occurred should be detailed according to sectoralcharacteristics and types of accidents. Additionally, 94.3% of experts stated that root causeanalysis should be conducted in occupational accident reporting forms to enable a clearerunderstanding of the incident. In comparison, 74.3% indicated that conducting such analysiscould contribute to the development of policies aimed at accident prevention. Creating anaccident reporting form that addresses these identified shortcomings and enhances theeffectiveness of current processes—along with providing professional support in thepreparation of such forms—will contribute to achieving consistency and transparency inoccupational health and safety practices.</p

In the quest for sustainable and efficient energy solutions, the remarkable properties of graphene have propelled it to the forefront of groundbreaking innovations. As a single layer of carbon atoms arranged in a hexagonal lattice, graphene possesses extraordinary electrical conductivity, mechanical strength, and surface area, making it an unparalleled material for revolutionizing energy systems. This book chapter offers a comprehensive examination of the multifaceted applications of graphene-based materials within contemporary energy systems. The exposition commences with an introductory discourse, elucidating the fundamental role played by graphene in reshaping the paradigm of energy storage and conversion. The investigation into graphene-based materials in energy storage systems meticulously dissects their impact on lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) and sodium-ion batteries (SIBs), providing nuanced insights into the integration of graphene to enhance battery performance. The scrutiny extends to redox flow batteries, lead-acid batteries, supercapacitors, and their subclasses, encompassing electrical double-layer capacitors (EDLCs) and pseudo-capacitors. Moreover, the chapter scrutinizes the role of graphene in hydrogen production and storage, uncovering its potential to advance sustainable solutions for the burgeoning hydrogen economy.Transitioning to energy conversion, the focus shifts to the influence of graphene on solar cells and fuel cells. In the field of fuel cells, graphene is emerging as a versatile component with roles as a catalyst for electrocatalysis, anodes in microbial fuel cells, electrolyte membranes, and bipolar plates. Each subsection within the energy conversion domain provides profound insights into the distinctive attributes of graphene, rendering it a compelling candidate for enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of energy conversion processes. The synthesis of graphene's intricate contributions to both energy storage and conversion systems underscores its versatility and transformative potential. As ongoing research in graphene-based materials advances, the prospects for achieving cleaner, more efficient, and sustainable energy systems appear increasingly promising. This abstract encapsulates the essence of the book chapter, offering a discerning perspective into the complex interplay between graphene and the evolving landscape of energy technologies.</div

In this study, the multilingual embedding model intfloat/multilingual-e5-large-instruct was fine-tuned for Turkish retrieval tasks using the multi-positive sampling approach. In traditional fine-tuning processes, each query is typically associated with only a single correct answer (positive sample). However, in this study, a dataset was constructed where each query is paired with both its direct answer and the contextual content containing that answer. This approach enables the model to improve the retrieval process by understanding both direct responses and relevant information within the context. The model's performance was evaluated using MTEB benchmark tests as well as examples drawn from three different independent datasets. Experimental results indicate a significant improvement in the retrieval performance of the fine-tuned model. Notably, a substantial increase was observed in the R@1 metric, which measures the rate at which the best answer is ranked first, along with significant enhancements in MTEB results, demonstrating improved retrieval accuracy
