Improved disclosure is needed on the main risks with severe impacts, policies regarding specific aspects of sustainability, key performance indicators relevant to particular businesses. The sustainability reporting is more focus on soft disclosure items. Companies with larger board size and a higher number of board meetings registered higher disclosure in sustainability reporting. Robust corporate governance is imperative for Romanian companies because they are facing drastic changes in all aspects of their activity. A new rethink approach is needed from the sustainability perspective aiming at reshaping the entire processes starting with a long-term strategy, business models, risk and data management and processing
The Relationship between the Technology Readiness Index (Tri) and the Quality of Digital Services of Brazilian Financial Institutions
This study aims to identify the technological readiness variables associated with the quality perceived by customers who use digital services offered by banking institutions operating in Brazil. Descriptive quantitative research, in cross-section, with a sample of 958 clients of financial institutions operating in Brazil. The data were analysed using Structural Equation Modelling and multigroup analysis using SmartPLS. Given the growth of Fintech driven by disruptive technologies, traditional banking segments are looking for a competitive advantage to retain their customers. The findings showed that optimism and innovativeness have a positive influence on perceived quality. In contrast, discomfort with functional and physical risk, discomfort with embarrassment, and insecurity with information have a negative influence on perceived quality. Insecurity due to lack of contact does not influence the quality perceived by customers. There are also no differences regarding the gender and income of customers and the type of bank with whom they have a relationship, only in the group between public and private banks in the relationship between innovativeness and perceived quality. However, the explanatory power of the model indicates that other factors also impact this relationship. Although Fintech is growing at an accelerated pace, traditional bank customers seek other factors that impact perceived quality. In this way, it shows that traditional banks can consider other organisational actions to retain customers in addition to disruptive technologies

To fulfill the purpose of the study, a total of forty-six learners were selected out of fifty-seven participants in a higher education center in Tehran based on their scores in Preliminary English Test (PET) and were divided randomly in the experimental and control groups. Prior to the treatment, a technical text translation questionnaire was devised and then validated by three assistant professors of engineering fields and three assistant professors of Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) at the university. This questionnaire was administered as a pretest to both groups. Control and experimental groups were trained for five successive weeks using identical course books but with a different lesson plan that allowed employing multimedia for experimental group only. The devised and approved questionnaire was administered as posttest to both groups at the end of the instruction. A multivariate ANOVA was run to compare the two groups’ means on the PET, pretest and posttest. The results showed the rejection of all null hypotheses of the study and revealed that multimedia significantly improved technical text translation ability of the learners.
