    These data were obtained in August 2016 using the Bruker Vertex 80v Fourier Transform Spectrometer in the High-resolution Spectroscopy facility, RAL Space, Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, UK. The spectrometer was configured using the mid-infrared glowbar broadband source, with optical data collected over 1.5-6 um. The beamsplitter was KBr, and the detector was nitrogen cooled HgCdTe. The double-sided interferogram was defined to run from 0.25 cm-1 to 15000 cm-1. The resolution was 0.5 cm-1. The pinhole size was 3 mm. The averaging period was calculated by observing the Allan variance of the spectrometer under these conditions; an averaging period of 2 minutes, or 40 scans, was used for noise reduction, to achieve SNR~500 in transmission. The data was collected using the Bruker OPUS software, and exported as a .dat file to Origin Pro 2017 for processing. The grating is an ultrafast laser inscribed transmission grating fabricated by Heriot-Watt University project partners. The data contains 10 columns. The first column is the wavelength in microns, which was calculated from the wavenumber in cm-1 value provided by the spectrometer. The following columns contain the normalized transmission (measured signal divided by individual background measurement) for each wavelength, obtained by setting the grating such that the incoming beam interacts with the grating at a specific angle of incidence. These are (in order, degrees): 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 0. A short header summarizes this information.Centre for Instrumentation, and STFC Consortium Grant ST/N000625/

    This dataset contains a collection of scripts, input and output files as supplementary data to the RAL Technical Report "Ab initio interpretation of neutron scattering data for aqueous solutions". The Technical Report aims to enable the reader to carry out AIMD (ab inito molecular dynamics) simulations from freely accessible Software and to compare the results with EPSR data based on neutron scattering experiments. The data stored contains example input files for some of these programs and also some scripts for the processing, conversion and analysis of simulation data.EP/L00020

    A modified uniformly redundant array (MURA) x-ray coded aperture imager and x-ray pinhole camera were used to image the soft x-ray emission from the rear surface of targets irradiated with the Vulcan Petawatt laser. The image data was captured on Fujifilm SR Imageplate scanned at 50 micron resolution. The coded aperture had a magnification of 10x with a working distance of 75 mm from the interaction. Filtering of 26 micron Aluminium was used as an optical light block as well as to attenuate the x-ray signal. The pinhole camera had a magnification of 20x with a 25 micron Tantalum pinhole with a 25 micron Beryllium filter and a working distance of 25 mm.Experimental time at the CLF on experiment 17110002

    Inelastic Neutron Scattering spectrum of 2,5-Diiodothiophene (IR), C₄H₂I₂S, measured on the Vertex 70 FTIR instrument. Infrared spectrum of 2,5-diiodothiophene at 111 K. Spectrum has been corrected for the wavelength-dependent pathlength of ATR. The features at ~1900-2400 cm-1 are due to miscancellation of the ATR diamond element and should be ignored.
