Effects of sports activities at childhood and adolescence on body mass index and physical fitness levels of the third-year students in high school
Get PDF本研究では，児童・生徒期におけるスポーツ活動への参加が高校3 年生時の体格および体力に及ぼす影響を調査し，スポーツ活動の継続が体格・体力に及ぼす影響を明らかにすることを目的とした．高校3 年生1238 名を対象として無記名式アンケート調査を実施した．調査項目は，スポーツ活動への参加の有無，身長・体重および体力テスト項目とした．対象者を小学校期，中学校期，および高校期におけるスポーツ活動への参加に基づいて分類した．その結果，男子においては，生徒期を通じてスポーツ活動に参加した群が他の群と比較して，適切な体格や体力を獲得できた．これは骨格筋量が増加する時期にスポーツ活動に参加したことによるものと考えられる，一方女子においては，生徒期にスポーツ活動に参加することが適切な体力の獲得に影響を及ぼすことが示唆されたが，体格に対する影響は男子のように明確には見られなかった．The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of doing continuously sports activities at childhood and adolescence on body physique and physical fitness levels in third grade students of high school. One thousand, two hundred and thirty-eight of third-year high school students were inquired their body height and weight, physical fitness levels using unsigned form questionnaire. They were classified five groups by the extents of having regularly done sports activities at primary school, junior school, and high school days. The results obtained were as follows: Body mass index and physical fitness levels in boys showed better conditions on the group having continuously participated in sports activities at childhood and adolescence than the other groups. These changes were suggested to be based on the increase of muscle mass by having done physical activities. Body mass index in girls, however, did not show clear differences among the groups like results of boys, though physical fitness was related to the sports activities levels of the groups.departmental bulletin pape
