Transferul compuşilor de aromă în vin din lemnul de stejar în sistem de baric model

    No full text

Fish is an excellent source of Omega 3 protein and fatty acids, which have the property of reducing cholesterol, maintaining a healthy heart, and even helping to prevent depression. Also, meat fish is a lean meat with low calorie but delicious assortment of meat, and is recommended in the consumer's diet . The fish content vitamins (A, D, E, B12), minerals (phosphorus, iodine, potassium) and healthy fats that can not be synthesized in the human body and must be fed through food. How healthy the fish meat is, the more dangerous it can be in terms of its safety for the consumer, and more precisely the presence of parasitic hazards. The main objectives of this paper are to describe the parasitic hazards of fish meat to indicate the proper preparation of fish meat and to increase consumer awareness of the risks associated with the consumption of this type of meat, threats of parasitic nature. Avoiding the consumption of untreated or poorly treated fish meat is one of the preventive measures that need to be taken to avoid fish parasites

Research on the use of economies of scale in services industry

    No full text
The research carried out in the present paper aims at carrying out researches on the use of scale ranges within the service providers with the following objectives: performing a synthetic diagnosis of the investigated units and determining the impact of the scale returns within the tourist services units. The obtained results verify the hypothesis of the application of the service efficiency principle so that a hostel with a capacity of 4 rooms records an average cost of 250 euro room-1 year-1 . This decreases significantly in such a way that a 6-room guesthouse receives a cost of 167.7 euro room-1 year-1 . The condition that the economical units surveyed benefit from the benefits of economies of scale is that they make every effort to ensure the highest possible capacity to serve. Otherwise, there are no economies of scale, but on the contrary, high service capacities have to bear large average costs

Bovine tuberculosis is still a problem, both in terms of economic losses, animal health and the increased risk of human infections. Limited possibilities of veterinarians to diagnose and control tuberculosis could result in a rapid spread of this disease in cattle herds and making the eradication procedures longer and less efficient. Correct and accurate diagnosis of positive animals in the database and their culling could lead to the eradication of bovine tuberculosis from Romania. The aim of this study was the epidemiological and microbiological evaluation of bovine tuberculosis status on a 5 year interval (2013-2017) in Bistriţa-Năsăud County. Laboratory techniques have highlighted the presence of Mycobacterium bovis on microscopic fields, tuberculosis lesions in the organs using histological preparations and the growth on Löwenstein-Jensen medium. The most important screening technique for the diagnosis is the tuberculin test. From the total number of 375644 cattle tested over the 5-year interval, 364558 (97.04%) have been the subject of this tuberculin intradermal reaction. A total of 757 animals have shown an inconclusive result to the initial single test, all these have been retested 42 days later with the comparative simultaneous test, and just 27 came positive. From the total of 225 cattle diagnosed as positive, just 19 have been confirmed by pathological, cultural and experimental infection on guinea pigs

    No full text
Pyometra is a common illness in adult intact female dogs and cats and a less frequent diagnosis in other small animal species. The aim of this study was to evaluate the microbial flora isolated from uterine exudates of bitches suffering from pyometra and test their susceptibility to antibiotics in dogs presented to a clinic in North Rhine-Westphalia region, Germany. Between February and September 2018, a total of 40 dogs suffering from pyometra were included in this study. Cotton swabs were used to collect pus from the uterus. The identification of bacteria was possible using MALDI-TOF MS device, in a private clinic from Germany. The susceptibility to antibiotics was evaluated using Kirby- Bauer disk diffusion test. The results demonstrated that Escherichia coli was the most frequently isolated bacteria, present in 28 from 40 samples (70%), followed by Streptococcus sp. in 5 samples (12.5%), Staphylococcus pseudintermedius in 3 samples (7.5%), Enterococcus sp. and Pasteurella multocida, each in 2 samples (5%) and Staphylococcus haemolyticus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pseudomonas putida, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Haemophylus hemoglobinophylus, Acinetobacter pittii, Pseudomonas koreensis and Enterobacter cloacae, each in 1 sample (2.5%). Regarding antibiotic susceptibility, the most efficient antibiotics were represented by Marbofloxacin, Enrofloxacin Doxycycline and Amoxicillin and clavulanic acid, while the least efficient were Penicillin G and Clindamycin

Clinical and evolutive aspects in dermatological disease therapy in dogs

In veterinary pathology, dermatopathies represent a challenge for the veterinarian due to the complex etiology and pathogenesis. More and more common, dermatological conditions have a diversity of clinical and evolutive aspects, which is why it is difficult to make a diagnosis of certainty and to establish a proper treatment. The aim of this study is to highlight the evolution of some dermatopathies by making a complete allergic investigation with an epidemiological investigation and a complex clinical examination, with an emphasis on the topical or systemic treatment used that has a favorable influence on the evolution of the disease. The clinical trial was conducted in a veterinary clinic, on 17 dogs in which 27 dermatopathies with different etiologies were diagnosed, treated and monitored. The materials and methods used consisted of: allergy investigation that provides information about the patient's situation; clinical examination consisting of evaluation of apparent mucous membranes, facies, attitudes, abnormal behavior, maintenance status, temperament, body temperature, pulse, cardiac and respiratory rate of the patient; complementary examinations: brushing, scotch-test, trichogram, cutaneous scarring, cytological exam, cutaneous biopsy, ultraviolet light exam, mycological examination, bacteriological examination, allergic tests, immunological tests, endocrine tests. Dermatopathies revealed a clinico-lesional pleiomorphism with the following manifestations: pruritus, alopecia, pyodermatitis, erythema, papules, crusts; which required a differential diagnosis and after performing the complementary examinations it was allowed the diagnosis of certainty. Of the 27 dermatopathies examined, 40.74% had bacterial etiology, 25.92% had micotic etiology, 18.51% had parasitic etiology, 11.11% had allergic etiology, 3.7% had other causes. Bacterial dermatitis has the highest occurrences with both superficial and deep pyoderma. To relieve pruritus it was used therapeutic baths with antiseboric and chlorhexidine shampoos, which provided body hygiene and completed the systemic treatment of superficial and deep pyodermatitis with bacterial and micotic etiology. The most effective treatment approach was achieved by combining both antibiotherapy, antipruritic therapy, topical antiparasitic drugs and dietary food, according to the established certainty diagnosis, the evolution being favorable

    No full text
The research of this study was carried out at the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine "Ion Ionescu de la Brad" in Iasi. The experience was set up in a semicircular solar cell where the fertilization regime was pursued: fertilization by irrigation water, fertilization with classical fertilizers, fertilization with microorganisms and non-fertilized. The irrigation was dripped. The tomato production showed a difference from the control of 52.43 t/ha, in the fertilized variant, being considered positively very significant. In the case of tomatoes it was found that the fertilization is clearly superior to the other methods used

The investigations were carried at the low, flat and flooded area near Razelm, Enisala, Beibugeac (Plopu) and Saraturii lakes (Murighiol) in Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve in different areas: 1310 - communities of Salicornia and other annuals colonising mud and sand; 1530* Pannonic salt steppes and salt marshes. The ecophysiological analyses were performed in representative plants belonging to the three identified plant associations (communities): Salicornietum prostratae Soó 1964, Astero tripoli – Juncetum gerardii Šmarda 1953 and Obionetum verruciferae Ţopa 1939. Investigated soils, Gleyc Solonceak and Sali-sodic Gleysoils, have medium or coarse-medium texture and electrical conductivity values varied from 1019 µS/cm up to 5427 µS/cm. The chlorophylls biosynthesis showed a higher amount of chlorophyll a in species of Poaceae and Juncaceae than in the Chenopodiaceae family. In Aeluropus littoralis species of the C4 - photosynthetic type, photo-assimilatory pigments varied slightly during the vegetation period. Among the carbohydrate fractions, the disaccharides, important in maintaining cell osmotic pressure, are increased and as well as polysaccharides

The aim of the undertaken research was to study the influence of copper on the seedling growth and development for the Alyssum murale species. The experiment was organized in 2 kg soil containers, in 4 variants of 4 repetitions, each repetition having 100 seeds. In order to study the influence of copper on the growth and development of the seedlings, the following doses were used: variant V1-20ppm , variant V2-100ppm, variant V3-200ppm and variant V4-500ppm. The toxicity of copper was determined through biometric determinations: stem height number of leaves, internode length, mean length of the main stem, number and mean length of secondary roots and the photosynthetic pigments content by using the spectrophotometric method. The increase in copper concentration has induced a reduction of the mean plant height, the differences obtained being negative, very significant in variants V2, V3and V4. The increase in the copper content in the substrate, in variants V3and V4, has determined the decrease in the chlorophyll a content

Analiza conţinutului de proteine din plasma sanguină a animalelor erbivore şi carnivore

    No full text
This paper focuses on determining the concentration of blood plasma proteins for different domestic animals to highlight the link between diet and proteins content. Blood plasma from two categories of animals, herbivores and carnivores (horse, cow, goat, sheep and dog) was used for this study, the protein content being compared to that found in human and turkey blood (omnivorous). Our results showed that the samples of blood taken from dogs have the lowest proteins content, although they consume food rich in proteins. The highest value of proteinemia is found in horse blood, even if it is an herbivorous animal that consumes food rich in fibbers and vitamins. The hypothesis that herbivores have a higher content of proteins in blood than carnivores is supported by the results obtained for samples of cow, goat and sheep blood
