Observations were made on the apple fruit tree orchards belonging to S.A. Loturi Service S.R.L. Delesti, Vaslui County, during the year 2018 from May to August. For this, observations were made periodically on the field, and samples were also collected using soil traps type Barber, which were then analyzed in the laboratory. Barber traps were represented by 6pots with a total volume of 600 mL, in which we used as a preservative liquid a salt solution with 25% concentration and these traps were placed at ground level to collect efficiently specimens belonging to the Coleoptera order. After collection, each sample was labeled and then brought to the laboratory where the impurities were removed in the first phase and only coleopteran species were selected. The species of coleopters in the observation period were: Anisodactilus binotatus, Pseudophonus rufipes, Pterostichus cupreus, Ophonus obscurus, Dermestes laniarius, Coccinella 7 punctate, Epicometis hirta, Opatrum sabulosum, Amara crenata, Dorcadion pedestre, Tachyusa coarctata, Monotoma picipes, Metabletus truncatelus , Brachynus crepitans, Meloe proscarabeus etc

In the last 20 years there has been a tendency of change in the evolution of climatic factors, which makes it increasingly difficult to accurately predict the timing of vegetation phenophases in vines. Their dynamic analysis, in close correlation with the evolution of climatic factors specific toIasi vineyard, from 2000 to 2019, showed that they were conditioned by the level and action of climatic factors and the hereditary specificity of cultivated varieties. The increase of temperature values (average annual temperature, average temperature in the first and second decades of June, average temperature in July, etc.), determined the advance of the onset of phenophases and shortened their duration, especially in dry years

Aspects on testing in laboratory conditions of an electromagnetic pulsator

    No full text
The efficient operation of the mechanical milking operation in the milking rooms, implies the use of pulsers, which allow to change the ratio between the extraction phase and the massage phase and even the working frequency, during operation. These requirements are fully met by the electromagnetic pulsators. The operating organs of these pulsators are actuated by means of electric coils controlled by an electrical circuit. In this way, through the electrical control, various values of the working frequency and different ratios between the extraction and massage time can be achieved. In practice, certain values for the working frequency and certain values for the extraction-massage ratio are accepted at national and European level. Based on these considerations, the author presents in the present paper the results of laboratorytests performed with an electromagnetic type pulsator of his own conception. The tested pulsator allows the production of two different working ratios (extraction time / massage time), namely: 3: 1 and 1.1, at a frequency of 60 pulses / minute. The switching from one working mode to another is controlled by the milk flow coming out of the milk collector. Following the tests performed for various values of the vacuum in the installation, it was observed that the working frequency of the electromagnetic pulsator to be tested remains constant. This parameter is within the normal operating limits of 50 ... 60 +/- 3 pulses / min. Also, the ratios between the extraction time and the massage time are within the usual value

The current spread of some invasive neophytes along the lower course of the Siret river

In this paper, we present new data on eight species of neophytes of North American origin (i.e., Bidens frondosa, Euphorbia glyptosperma, Fraxinus pennsylvanica, Lepidium densiflorum, Oenothera depressa, O. suaveolens, Oxalis dillenii, and Parthenocissus inserta), whose spread in the lower course of the Siret river proved to be much wider than was previously known in the literature. All of these species are invasive in natural and anthropogenic habitats, on both banks of the river. Two of them were introduced deliberately in Romania, as ornamental plants (Fraxinus pennsylvanica and Parthenocissus inserta), while the other 6 species were introduced accidentally. Euphorbia glyptosperma and Oenothera suaveolens are reported here for the first time in the historical province of Muntenia, and other species are floristic novelties for counties of Vrancea (Bidens frondosa, Fraxinus pennsylvanica, Oenothera depressa) and Brăila (Fraxinus pennsylvanica and Oxalis dillenii). In addition to current spread of these species along the lower course of the Siret River, the paper provides data on the types of habitats invaded by each of them

Wine is defined as a food product obtained exclusively by fermentation of grapes or grape must, with an alcoholic strength ofminimum 8.5%(v/v).Climate change, advanced viticultural practices, improved plant materialand modern vinification techniques lead to elevated sugar levels in grapes and furthermore to an increase in alcohol content of wine. Although wine showed notable health benefits, due tohigherethanolcontentobtained in recentyearswine consumptionis more often restricted. In this context, the aimof this workwas to present the currently known technologicalpossibilities for the production oflow-alcohol wines, with an emphasis onviticultural andpre-fermentationstrategies to reduce sugar concentrations in grapes and must

The harvesting importance and the introduction in economic circuit of non-wood forest products, especially forest fruits, mushrooms, game reside both under economic aspect, representing a proportion over 10% from the business number realized by many County Forest Administrations and mostly from the social point of view, through the capital amount in rural zones where the population incomes come almost exclusive from agricultural activities. The aim of this paper was to highlight the most important non-wood forest products from Teleorman County and to analyze the social and economic impact of those from Teleorman county, Romania. The NWFPs were grouped in four categories, namely Mushrooms (Boletus edulis and Lactarius piperatus), Tree products (Linden flowers, oak seeds), Understory plants (Rubus idaeus, Mentha piperita) and Animal origin (Lepus europaeus, Squalius cephalus). Within the research method it was used the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) which use an interface of multi-criteria system. Based on the processing data in the Expert Choice Desktop software, it was found that the most important non-wood forest products were forest fruits (raspberries), mushrooms (Penny bun) and those of animal origin (European hare). This kind of analysis it can be addressed to the managers who wants to perform the activities inside of the company such as making some statistics about the relative consumption of some products

The inclusion rate of the synthetic food dye Tartrazine E102 in 6 products from 2 categories of food products - ”Fresh, non-alcoholic and flavored beverages - sodas,” and ”Snacks and nuts with salted crust” was studied using the photo-colorimetric method. The acquired data served to estimate the hypothetic daily intake of this additive, in relationship with the Romanians’ consumption habits. The results revealed that: inclusion rate in “Multi-fruit soda” product was 87.2-88.5% lower than the maximum residual admitted level (20 mg/liter product); daily intake level through a portion of “Multi-fruit soda” (500 ml in adults and 200 ml in children) reached 1.28-1.42% of the maximum tolerated doze in children, respectively 0.96-1.39 % of it in adults; tartrazine inclusion rate in “Cheese snack” product was 34.0-47.2% lower than the maximum residual admitted level (100 mg/kg product); calculation of the daily intake through one portion of “Cheese snack” (120 g in adults and 50 g in children) reached 1.17-1.47% of the maximum tolerated doze in children and 1.06-1.47% in adults. Despite the fact that inclusion levels and intake values have not been exceeded, the cumulative effect should be considered when multiple food products containing tartrazine are consumed, knowing this additive is one of the most incriminated factors in the onset of allergenic and irritating conditions in adults, respectively of attention deficit and hyperactivity syndrome in children

    No full text
In this paper, we determined the evolution of ejaculate volume, sperm concentration, motility and viability along with the evolution of the activity of some enzymes (TGO, alkaline phosphatase, ATPase and lactic dehydrogenase) in seminal plasma of Cornish roosters at 30, 42, 57 and 63 weeks of age. The monitored parameters showed a specific evolution that characterizes the physiological ageing process in Cornish roosters. Thus, the volume of ejaculate showed a significant decrease (P = 0.011) from 0.39 to 0.32 microliters. The number of sperm per ejaculate decreased from 0.86 to 0.29x109 (P = 0.002). Motility decreased from 69% to 41% (P = 0.001) and sperm viability decreased from 89 to 74% (P = 0.00). The percentage of abnormal spermatozoa decreased not significantly, from 96 to 94%, some types of abnormalities increasing and others decreasing in frequency during the monitoring period. The activity of the monitored enzymes characterized the decrease of the anaerobic metabolism of spermatozoa and the increase of the membrane permeability of the spermatozoa in the physiological ageing process
