Efectul schimbărilor climatice asupra indicilor bioclimatici termici în regiunea Iaşi
The influence of environmental factors on plant growth and development is a well-known fact, and in agrometeorology, bioclimatic indices are used to quantify this influence. In recent years, plant growth technologies have been manipulating these factors to ensure the optimal conditions needed to improve agricultural production. In greenhouses, these factors can be controlled to ensure optimal growing conditions, but in the field, plants will be influenced by their variation. In order to understand how bioclimatic indicesvary as a result of climate change, we propose the evaluation of the most important thermal index in horticulture, namely the growing degree days index. The analysis of the air growing degree days is important to be able to calculate the state of vegetation in which the plant is, but also to estimate the period when it passes from one growing stage to another. Global warming has as a consequence the increase of the heat accumulated by the plant in a season, which is calculated as the number of temperature degrees accumulated during the vegetation period (from April 1st to September 30th). In the present study, we evaluated how this indicator has changed in Iasi in the last 6 decades. The results show a significant increase in the accumulated temperature degrees during growing seasonwhich requires an agroclimatological study on future plant varieties that will be grown in the coming years
Contribution to the knowledge of the micromycetes from the spontaneous flora identified in Iasi county region, Romania
Permanent knowledge of distribution, diversity and interactions between organisms, plants and the environment in
which they live is extremely important for the conservation of biodiversity. Interest for biodiversity conservation is
intensified by concern bout the conservation of genetic resources, destruction of forest, extinction of species and the
effects of global warming. This paper presents some parasitic micromycetes identified on plant species from different
areas of Iasi County. In our fieldwork made in the spring of 2021 year were indentified some parasitic micromycetes to
spontaneous flora species as: fumewort (Corydalis solida L. Clairv.), alpine squill (Scilla bifolia L.), buttercup anemone
(Anemone ranunculoides), lesser celandine (Ranunculus ficaria L.) și snake's head fritillary (Fritillaria meleagrioides
Patrin ex Schult. & Schult. f.) Identified micromycetes cause some plant diseases as downy mildew or rust and this
fungi species belong to some different taxonomy: Those who cause downy mildew are from Oomycetes class, and rust
are from Teliomycetes class as Tranzschelia, Puccinia.și Uromyces genera
Monitorizarea unor parametri microbiologici și a compoziției algale în apele de suprafață ale unor emisari din Bazinul Dornelor
The objective of this study was to establish the microbiological and algal load of surface waters from the streams that
cross the Dorna’s Basin. In order to carry out this study, 10 sampling stations were established over four streams, the
study taking place during the period of two years, 2017 and 2018, between May and October. The samples were analyzed
in the laboratory using specific methods for each monitored indicator, observing the fluctuations which are determined
by the sampling location, weather phenomena, and the influence of anthropogenic factors that are relevant for the streams
that were studied. Therefore, microbiological parameters are strongly influenced by contamination with faeces from both
animals (wild and domestic), as well as from households, that are not connected to a centralized sewer system, especially
the ones which use septic tanks that are, in many cases, inappropriately built. All microbiological indicators showed
significant variations between sampling stations along the same stream, upstream the values recorded being much lower
than downstream. The samples that presented the lowest values, for all the evaluated parameters, were those collected
upstream of the Călimănel brook. The absence of the Pseudomonas aeruginosa indicator from all samples taken during
the study was recorded at two of the stations, Călimănel-sus (stream) and Secu-sus and the spores of sulfite-reducing
anaerobic bacteria (Clostridium) were not identified in the samples collected from Călimănel-sus station (stream). The
samples with the highest degree of contamination were those taken from Arinu-jos station and those from Călimănel-jos,
the anthropic influence being evident through the economic activities that were carried out. Similar values were obtained
following the analyzes performed for each type of algae, recording higher levels of parameters in the case of samples
taken from the Arini-jos station. The maximum values were recorded from the samples taken from the stations on the
Arinu rivulet in August 2018, after a torrential rain, when large quantities of organic substances were entrained. The main
conclusion obtained from the interpretation of the results is that the surface waters have a significant microbial load and
that it multiplies exponentially from the source to the collector
Modalități de potențare a perspectivelor urbane prin utilizarea elementelor vegetale ornamentale în zona istorică Târgu Cucu din Iași
The concept of “Cities for People” 'is promoted by the urban planner Jan Gehl and involves the design of new urban settlements, or the transformation of the existing ones, into environments conducive to daily community activities. Whether we refer to the necessary activities or to the leisure ones, the city has the primary duty to provide favourable frameworks for these various manifestations. Since Antiquity, it has been considered that the city belongs to its people and their lives, this perception becoming in the 21st century an ideological current meant to improve the quality of urban life, through architectural, urban, landscape and artistic interventions. The subject of the quality of urban life has become a leitmotif to recent research in the field of urbanism and social sciences, promoting principles and methods aimed at both terms of impact on the human psychic and the environment. In the context of the urban environment of Iași, affected by the urban transformations of the last century, are suggested landscape interventions that would meet the quality criteria of a healthy public space, transforming the dull area into an attractive and dynamic one
CT periportal halo sign in dogs-comparison with human medicine
Periportal halo CT sign has been well described in human medicine, being associated with multiple pathological processes
(hepatobiliary, congestive heart failure, pyelonephritis, metastases) but also with fluid resuscitation and blunt abdominal trauma. It is
supposed to be caused by periportal lymphangiectasia and may be related with primary or secondary liver diseases. The aim of the
article is to review and analyse CT findings of periportal halo in dogs and possible relations with systemic diseases and abnormal liver
function parameters
New evidence of model crop Brassica napus L. in soil clean-up: comparison of tolerance and accumulation of lead and cadmium
The potential of the model crop Brassica napus L. (rapeseed) for the phytoremediation of soils
polluted with metals was investigated at laboratory scale. The first step consists in the evaluation
of the seed germination and growth of the Brassica napus L. plant in a controlled environment,
followed by the determination of the photosynthetic pigments content represented by chlorophyll
a and b and carotenoids. The degree of metal accumulation in rapeseed has been evaluated by
the bioaccumulation factor (BAC), the bioconcentration factor (BCF) and the translocation factor
(TF). Phytotoxicity tests were performed in Petri dishes with filter papers moistened with metal
solutions in the range of 0 to 300 mg/L Pb(II) or Cd(II). At the highest concentration of the lead and
cadmium treatments (300 mg/L), B. napus L. showed the lowest germination degree (56.67% and
43.33%, respectively). According to Tukey test results, Pb(II) concentrations of up to 300 mg/L do not
significantly affect the length of the hypocotyls, whereas, in the case of Cd(II), the mean of the radicle
and hypocotyl lengths of the seedlings are significantly affected compared to the mean of the control.
In soil pot experiments, important changes have been obtained in the pigment content, especially
in the case of cadmium. For both metals and for each treatment (100 to 1500 mg/kg Pb(II) and 1 to
30 mg/kg Cd(II)), a TF < 1 indicates an ineffective metal transfer from root to shoot. Finally, rapeseed
can be considered a tolerant plant and a suitable candidate for Pb(II) and Cd(II) accumulation and
for the phytostabilization of contaminated soil under the experimental conditions adopted in the
present study

Impact on the growth parameters and microbial populations of probiotics and prebiotics on rabbits raised in the household system
The investigations and laboratory determinations were performed within the disciplines of Nutrition and Microbiology of
the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca. The breeding of rabbits and the collection
of samples took place in the own household from Sărata locality, Bistrița-Năsăud county. The aim of this study was to
demonstrate the impact of the use of probiotics and prebiotics in feeding rabbits raised in the household system. For this
experiment, 12 rabbits, common breed, 55 days old, raised in the household system were used. The basic feed ration was
a commercial concentrated, ground feed in which the probiotic (Enteroferm® 35G), 0.15 g / kg feed, containing cultures
of Enterococcus faecium, the prebiotic (Inulin FOS, ZENYTH), were incorporated, 25 g / kg fodder, powder obtained
from chicory root (Cichorium intybus), which contains polysaccharides with a prebiotic role (inulin and fructooligosaccharide
- FOS) and a synbiotic (mixture of the two), in the same doses. There were 4 groups of 3 individuals as
follows: group number 1, control, group number 2, probiotic, group number 3, prebiotic and group number 4, synbiotic.
In addition to the concentrated feed, good quality natural hay and water were added, both the feed and the water were
administered ad libitum. In order to achieve the proposed goal, the amount of feed consumed by each group and the
weight of each rabbit were determined weekly for 8 weeks. Based on these data, the final average weight of each group,
the total feed consumption of each group, the weekly weight increase for each group, the average weekly and final feed
conversion rate were calculated. Samples were also collected from the rectum, before and after treatment with probiotics
and prebiotics, to determine their impact on the composition of the bacterial flora at this level.
The determinations performed yielded clearly superior results in favor of the experimental groups compared to the
control group, highlighting group 2, consisting of rabbits treated with probiotics
Study on the economic yield of wheat crops in the specific conditions of the Great Island of Brăila in irrigated and non-irrigated system
Wheat variety must adapt as well as possible to the climatic conditions and the soil on which it is grown, so that the
yield and quality obtained are as high as possible. Some varieties cope well with drought and frost, others adapt even to
soils with low fertility. The choice of wheat variety must be made taking into account all these factors. In addition to the
climatic factor, Romanian farmers who want to achieve crop performance should consider other aspects when deciding
on the variety of wheat they will grow. The aim of the research paper is to identify the best wheat varieties in terms of
economic yield under irrigation and non-irrigation conditions. The research was carried out in conditions specific to the
plain area, more precisely the Great Island of Brăila, where the wheat crop occupies a significant area. This study
intends to make a contribution in order to optimize some elements of wheat cultivation technology, related to the
irrigation regime in order to improve economic performance both by increasing production yield and by significantly
eliminating losses resulting from the production process
Antibacterial Polysiloxane Polymers and Coatings for Cochlear Implants
Within this study, new materials were synthesized and characterized based on polysiloxane modified with different ratios of N-acetyl-l-cysteine (NAC) and crosslinked via UV-assisted thiol-ene addition, in order to obtain efficient membranes able to resist bacterial adherence and biofilm formation. These membranes were subjected to in vitro testing for microbial adherence against S. pneumoniae using standardized tests. WISTAR rats were implanted for 4 weeks with crosslinked siloxane samples without and with NAC. A set of physical characterization methods was employed to assess the chemical structure and morphological aspects of the new synthetized materials before and after contact with the microbiological medium
